How to Shoot at an Angle for Duck Game

How to Shoot at an Angle

Shooting Upwards

I thought most people knew this one, I really did. This angled shot is the easiest one of them all, and EVERYONE should use it. While in mid-air, hold down jump, got it? This will make you hover. While hovering, just shoot. Also, when standing next to a wall, on ground or mid-air, your gun will point upward, allowing you to shoot upward.

that’s it.

Shooting Diagonally-Upward

This one is a bit tricky, but can still be useful. With this, you’ll be able to shoot at any upward angle (I know, surprising). This can be used to get opponents falling down, and usually works well when used in conjunction with the upward shot. To preform this, you’ll need to be in the air. Press the jump button, and while your gun is swinging up, shoot. If too early, you’ll shoot sideways, but if you’re too late, you end up doing a regular upward shot. Also, when running into a wall, your gun will swing up. If your timing is perfect, you can actually shoot an upward-angled shot from the floor!

Shooting Diagonally-Downward

To do this, you’ll need to hold down the jump button mid-air to hover. While hovering, turn to the other direction, and shoot RIGHT after you do. The timing is more strict than my math teacher, and truly mastering could take hundreds of hours. The two best Ducks I know of can net some amazing kills (with or without nets) with downward shots, such as amazing long-range sniper rifle kills, and I hope there can be more than two soon enough. You can also use the recoil to save you from falling off of the stage with certain weapons. It is easiest to do this with a shotgun or pistol, as they give quite a lot of recoil, but even a Blunderbuss can save you from falling to your death, so don’t be afraid to try it.

Similarly to up angling, you can actually do it on the floor! The tecnique is a bit different, though. It requires you to be up against a wall while facing toward it. Quickly turn away from the wall and shoot right after. The timing on this seems to be even more strict than regular down angling, but it does have an upside. Guns that normally can’t be angled with (i.e. Minigun) can angle using this wall technique.
