A no bullsh*t guide to custom Capes and Hats!

Overview

A five-minute guide to making your very own hats and capes! With some additional tips to making the process easier

Getting Started (Downloads)

There is going to be a few things you need to get started, but nothing to excessive

All you’re going to need to start is an art-program, the template to work on and the website Quackhead[penguinscode.github.io] to export your finished work into
I suggest using Paint.net, but really anything that supports layers and transparency works fine too/

These downloads come in convenient layers to make everything easier;

The Template For capes;
(Makes it easier to make capes)
(No download link for it, just download the image vv)

Actually starting

Once you open your template, you’ll be able to start ( use ‘ctrl + and ctrl -‘ to zoom)
*Be sure you open anouther anouther layer to draw ontop of
*I also suggest you delete the Contrast layer
You’ll be drawing the hat twice, once for the ‘idle image and again for the ‘quacking animation
*The Cape Template doesn’t have any layers to it

Drawing + Cape!

This is pretty simple! Your limit is your imagination!
Be sure to use the pencil tool and for extra points outline your hats in black
>

For the cape, all you have to do is design your cape inside the Red CAPE area, keep it inside the white line!

Exporting your art

When your finally done with your hat and you’re ready to move to exporting it from Paint.net, you’ll have to get rid of every other layer expect the layer you drew the hat on!
*The Cape Template doesn’t have any extra layers to it, but don’t to make a new one seperate from the backround

NOTICE
Paint.net saves files under .pfd, you’ll have to change that yourself by going under
>File
>Save As
>>Change the file to .png
>Save

Finally finishing

Now that you have your image, you’ll have to goto Quackhead[penguinscode.github.io] and go to
>Add team
>open your hat file
>Export as .hat file

Now that you have your .hat file put it under
>ProgramFilex86
>Steam
>Steamapps
>Common
>DuckGame

Tips You’ll Need!!

*Remember to save your file as PNG in the dropdown below naming it or it wont be useable!(paint.net autosaves it as a paint.net file and .jpeg glitches the hat!)
*Use the contrast layer to make sure all errors or sloppy leftover pixels are gone! They WILL show up!
*Remember to use a seperate layer for drawing the hat and to get rid of every other layer when finished and exporting!

The End!
