Terminus for Paladins

Terminus

Overview

Terminus is rock, will teach you also how to be rock. You will crush all like pebbles, tiny turtle man, small horned demon, even the puny rocket dragon will fall before your rocky exterior. They are all but stones on the side of the stream waiting to be swept away by the mighty river. THE RIVER MADE OF ROCK NAMED TERMINUS!!!

Gameplay

To be a rock you must think like a rock. your main purpose is to be an unstoppable avalanche of death and destruction, your axe will help with that. Swing it as much as you can, you can swing it every 1.1 seconds for 650 damage, nothing to laugh at. You can also jump like the majestic rock you are, and then slam onto the ground for 500 damage slowing down your enemies in front of you by 60% for 2 seconds.

But these next two are your most important abilities of all, calamity blast, and power siphon. Power siphon causes big PURPLE VORTEX to appear in front of you, all shots from enemies will be taken in and turned into charges for calamity blast. You hold 1 charge at all times and can build up 4 more by using power siphon. Each blast does 250 damage, and with decimation that goes up to 350. Firing all 5 at once will deal a total of 1250, 1750 with decimation. If you slam onto a foe, then shoot all 5 blasts than finish with an axe swing you will deal 2,900 damage, this will instantly obliterate any non tank enemy in the game, your welcome.

Your last ability is very good, but can be deceiving. On first inspection the prospect of 2,600 damage seems nice but it can be easily escaped. For best use of this ability save it for important moments such as last minute point captures and payload pushes. Only revive yourself when your team is close by and needs you to stay alive for a bit longer.

Use these abilities to stay alive and quickly dispatch targets cleanly and effectively. Remember your power siphon has infinite SUCK POWER but can be disabled, you can be grabbed or hooked out of it, and it wont block incoming melee attacks. It can fully block evil enemy Terminus ults but it cannot block skye’s ult if you are within its range. Your ultimate can be reversed by Androxus and Drogoz may take it as an opportunity to rush you down. So its best to save it when Drogoz has already ulted.

If you play correctly with Terminus you will be virtually un-killable, and with a supportive team you can even wipe out the opposing force completely. Use your abilities to insta-kill smaller targets and outlast larger foes with ease. Some good maps for Terminus include ice mines, brightmarsh, jaguar falls, and serpent beach. However he can be played to great success on any map in the game. Don’t be afraid to leap out of the fray to decimate a small target in the backline, your abilities will be able to keep you alive provided you aren’t under too much fire from different angles.

Terminus pairs very well with Inara, a fellow rock, who is very good at holding point while term flanks as well as keeping the enemy close making it easier for term to hit them with his axe. Terminus can use his power siphon to stop tanks like ash and rockus from getting value from their ults and can put his siphon in front of and on teammates to provide a temporary shelter.

Remember to stay strong, and even when bugs arise, as they tend to do with Terminus, and even when your team tells you he is trash, remember that you can do 2,900 damage in under a second for one of if not the highest burst damage in the entire game, seriously evil mojo what the heck. He is by far the most underrated champion in the game, oft ignored by the general populous, but he has some of the strongest abilities in the game and if you put the time in to learn him you will be greatly rewarded.
