Overview
Personally I gained an massive FPS boost changing the game priority so heres how to do it
What is this doing to my game?
This method changes your computer, so the processor prioritize Paladins and give it more processing power, resulting in a more pleasent and stable game experience. Personally I went from ~ 60->120 FPS (during battles!!) and overall it’s chilling at about 170FPS, hopefully this benefits you aswell.
My computer is running on a i5-8600K stock speed.
Try this method first
This method might not work, but its worth trying in case it does to save you time.
1.Make sure your game is running.
2. Press CTRL+ALT+DEL to open Task Manager.
3. Find Paladins.exe, right click and “go to information”.
4. Right click Paladins.exe and change the priority from normal to high.
Done, from now on this game should run on high priority, giving you a smoother, higher FPS than before. However if you got a error message and it didn’t change you’ll have to do the more complex method to change it.
Advanced Method
1. Press Win+R
2. Search “regedit”.
3.Locate to the following folder:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionImage File Execution Options
4. In here create a new key named “Paladins.exe”.
5. Inside Paladins.exe create another new key called “PerfOptions”.
6. Inside PerfOptions create a 32-bit DWORD named “CpuPriorityClass”, set the value of this file to three (3).
7. Thats all, if done correctly launching the game it should start up in high priority from now on giving you a more pleasent gaming experience.
