Introduction
Get ready for Raum, one of the abyssal lords in the realm and the newest addition to the frontline lineup. He represents the rage and power of the Abyss and he’s ready to make things interesting. He is a shieldless tank yielding a minigun and ready to collect the souls of his enemies. Are you ready to experience the rage of the Abyss?
Disclaimer: This is not a GUIDE on how to play Raum but a repository of information about this champion’s abilities, cards and stats. I’m sure there will be plenty of playstyles and builds people will create for him that you can find online. Use this information to help you better understand his kit and mechanics.
All tremble at the mere mention of his name. He is wrath. He is fury. He is Raum, Rage of the Abyss. Consumed by burning conflict, tempered in the Abyss, his purpose is clear — annihilation. He has fought and triumphed over every entity in those war-scarred plains, shattering every soul that stands against his might. Few remain who are still worthy of his attention, and their conflicts grow stale. Now, he finds himself summoned to the Realm, a fertile ground teeming with new victims whose souls are too well-connected to their bodies.
Skills
Let’s take a look at Raum’s skills and basic abilities.
(Mouse 1)
A Gatling gun from the depths of the Abyss that fragments its targets’ souls every 6 times an enemy is hit with its bullets, dealing 45 damage every 0.05s when fully spun up.
Reload:?
*This weapon has a wind-up time;
1s to fire, 3s to hit max fire rate.
*Deals 45 damage per shot every .05s
*This weapon has the longest reload time in the game. Reloading will lockout other abilities
*Has a movement penalty when firing. 50% slower
*Can deal Headshots. 68 damage per shot.
Every six shots that hit an enemy shatters a part of their soul, creating a Soul Fragment. Soul Fragments can be collected by colliding with them or by activating Soul Harvest(Q) .
*Raum has a passive ability. He gains armor by collecting souls dropped by his enemies.
*Every 6 shots the enemy drops 1 Soul Fragment.
*He has an auto-seek range where dropped Soul fragments get collected like magnets.
*1 soul fragment = 200 soul armor. Raum can gain up to 8500 HP when soul armor is maxxed.
*Soul armor is uncauterizable and cannot be countered by wrecker since it is not a shield
Soul armor is represented by a purple bar above Raum’s HP^
(Mouse 2)
Ignite your Gatling gun to fully spin it up and consume no ammo for 3s.
*Bypasses wind-up penalty and will hit max fire rate immediately.
*It will not auto-reload your weapon.
(Q)
Harvest your enemies’ shattered souls, drawing loose souls in and gaining 1500 soul armor on activation, as well as an additional 200 soul armor for each soul collected.
*By default Raum has a range where dropped soul fragments are automatically collected within a certain radius. This ability pulls those soul fragments that are out of your auto-seek range.
*it does not require line of sight. although some soul fragments can get stuck on walls depending on your position
*You can activate this ability even while you are shooting your Gatling.
*This ability will still give Raum Soul armor even if there are no Soul fragments present in the map.
(F)
Wind up and take off charging, dealing 700 damage and knocking up players hit.
*There is a slight wind up time and Raum will have limited turning capabilities during this ability.
*Juggernaut will generate 4 soul fragments per enemy hit.
*Juggernaut can be cancelled early by pressing the ability again or by firing your weapon.
*Juggernaut is countered by Crowd Control Abilities. ex. a Khan can collide with you and grab you while using this ability
*You can hit the same target more than once.
(E)
Stomp the ground and send forth a shockwave that deals 999 damage and stuns enemies for 1.2s.
*It will spawn 5 distinct hits, even if 1 hit collides with a wall the rest can still hit enemies.
*Also generates 3 soul fragments per enemy hit.
*Destroys shields and deployable walls.
*You have limited turning capability while using Raum’s Ultimate ability. You can turn 60° to your left or to your right once activated.
*Raum is immune to stuns and crowd control while using his Ultimate ability.
Talents
Here are His 3 Talents
(Default Talent)
Reduce your damage taken by 75% while using Juggernaut.
*This is the talent you get out of the box without the need to unlock.
(Unlocks at Mastery Level 2)
Increase your Ultimate charge rate by 60%.
*Raum has the highest base charge rate on his ultimate in any champion in the game.
*Morale Boost will not buff this talent instead will apply towards his base ult charge rate.
(Unlocks at Mastery Level 8)
Heal allies within 40 units of you for 100 for each Soul Fragment you collect.
*The HP gained with this talent can be cauterized.
Cards
Here is a list of all his cards that you can use to build loadouts and customize your playstyle. You can level an individual card up to level 5 and you must distribute 15 points to level up cards and complete a loadout.
Below are cards that directly affect his Soul Harvest (Q) ability:
Reduce the Cooldown of Juggernaut by {1s|2s|3s|4s|5s} after activating Soul Harvest.
Each Soul Fragment gathered Heals you for {20|40|60|80|100}.
Heal for {100|200|300|400|500} after activating Soul Harvest.
Reduce your damage taken by {5%|10%|15%|20%|25%} for 3s after activating Soul Harvest.
Below are cards that directly affect his Juggernaut (F) ability:
Heal for {150|300|450|600|750} for each champion hit by Juggernaut.
Increase the potency of Juggernaut’s Knockup by {7%|14%|21%|28%|35%}.
Gain a {150|300|450|600|750}-Health Shield for 3s after activating Juggernaut.
Increase the distance traveled by Juggernaut by {8%|16%|24%|32%|40%}.
Below are cards that directly affect his Ignition (Mouse2) ability:
Reduce the Cooldown of Ignition by {0.6s|1.2s|1.8s|2.4s|3s}.
Gain a {100|200|300|400|500}-Health Shield for 3s after activating Ignition.
Reduce your damage taken by {5%|10%|15%|20%|25%} for 3s after activating Ignition.
Generate {25|50|75|100|125} Ammo after activating Ignition.
Gain a {250|500|750|1000|1250}-Health Shield for 3s after dropping to or below 30% Health.
Increase your Reload Speed by {7%|14%|21%|28%|35%}.
Reduce the time it takes to spin up your Hellfire Gatling by {4%|8%|12%|16%|20%}.
Increase your maximum Health by {150|300|450|600|750}.
