Master Collector Guide (Complete & Updated)

Overview

I’ll be listing down all 23 cards as I go through a second playthrough of the game!

French Version

In order to cut down on the text for this guide, the french version has been moved to a separate (combined) guide translated by Harg!

Octorac

Right after you get the sword, backtrack a bit to clear out some bushes to get the Octorac card!

Bat

West of your first save point there is a SECOND chest past one with a star. This contains the Bat Card.

Slime

When you first enter the village after leaving Edel Vale (the beginner zone), head northeast for the Slime Card. This place is called The Meadow and the chests here disappear once you unlock Papunika Village.

Edit: Due to the Meadow location being permanently missable, the developers decided to move the Slime card location over towards the Hidden Meadows. This is located after Papunika Village going passed the Crystal Cave entrance and south along the lake. Inside the Hidden Meadow is a chest to the bottom right containing the Slime card.

Worm

After unlocking Papunika Village, go down the well. Take a right and go all the way down the path for the Worm card!

Kobra Zero

Go east of the well and behind the building for a hidden path to the back of the house. Straight across the hidden path exit will be a chest containing the Kobra Zero card.

Tork

In Papunika Village, visit the house beside the well and the chest containing the Tork card will be right inside.

Emuk

The Shopkeeper sells a rare card for 500 glis. This rare card is the Emuk.

The Seed

After you meet Kaeris, take a sidetrip west of The Crystal Caves to the Hidden Meadow. In there will be a hole in the ground leading to the Hidden Cave.

Go south in the Hidden Cave until you see a fork in the path. Nearby will be a chest containing Star #5. Past that chest there is a hidden passage leading to The Seed Card.

Scaven

After you unlock the fountain, head east then south for a Scaven Card.

Zoomba

After beating the Kefka’s Ghost, you will end up back in Edel Vale. Follow the path a little bit the nhead south for a lot of weeds to cut down. This will lead you to a chest with a Star. Past that Star is another chest with the Zoomba Card hidden behind more weeds.

Pakkun

Keep following the path down in Eden Vale (the one after killing the ghost). Eventually you will find some weeds to cut down west of the path. At the end of this detour you will find the Pakkun Card.

Wasp

Once you find the second 3d plate (you can only cross it when you are on 3d mode), follow the road until you find a line of weeds (see screenshots). Cut your way through then cut through the weeds on the left to reach the Wasp Card.

Clink

Once you activate the whirlwind traps, allow yourself to fall down the 3rd one. It will drop you beside a previously inaccessible chest which contains the Clink Card.

Spider

After you unlock Auto Fire, the first wall that the Auto Fire hits is actually a hidden passage leading to the Spider Card.

Dopple

The Dopple Card is found in the Ruins of Sarudnahk. Just head south east and up a ramp to get to the chest.

Undead King

The Undead King Card can be obtained from the Expensive Shopkeeper for 10k glis.

Kefka’s Ghost

Location: Sacred Grove

In order to get Kefka’s Ghost Card you will have to cross a 3d panel by triggering a bomb while in 3d mode. This will allow you to transform to classic mode to cross the tree that comes after the panel.

I realize this part of the guide may not be as clear as intended so in order to help with reaching this location in the sacred grove, check out the video and start from around 4:45 when he’s about to exit the mines and then he reaches the location you have to bomb at around 6:30. Note that this is just a temporary band aid fix until I can improve upon this guide.

You will need the bow aquired at 4:02 to complete this puzzle as it requires a flaming arrow.

Kaeris

Getting Kaeris’ Card requires a bit of thinking. You will need to switch between classic and 3d mode lighting fires in a certain order.

The chest is shown in the screenshot below. You cannot get to it at first because it is blocked by a small tree and a 3d panel. In order to get through, you need to destroy the small tree.

First, destroy the rock shown below (it’s blocking a firepit you will use later to burn the tree.

Next, light the fires in the order shown below. The path of your shots will resemble and upside down letter U. Note that you may have to switch to classic mode to burn down any other obstacles not shown by the screenshots.

After the shot facing south, the path should be open now. There will be a crystal nearby to help you cross the 3d panel.

Babamut

The Babamut Card can be acquired by essentially completing the Shrine of the Bahamut. It is the last chest in the shrine which you can get safely afer exterminating all opponents in a trap room.

A’tuin

After you revisit Noria Mines with a bomb, search for a hiden passage north of the mines. At the end of a passage will be a pressure plate that opens a chest blocked by a movable firepit. In side the chest is the A’tuin card.

Skeleton

Revisit Edel Vale once you have bombs. East of one of the 3d plates there will be a destructible rock and some bushes. Behind those will be a chest containing the Skeleton card!

Red Wizard

The Red Wizard card is located East of the (agile adventurer) sign. You can get it when you revisit Edel Vale with bombs.

Zephyros

Zephyros’ Card can be found at the very end of the Forbidden Lake. It can be found in plain sight right after the 30th star (see other guide). The lake is essentially shaped as a bit of a deformed and upside down letter U. All it takes to get to the card is a bit of crystal manipulation and firepit usage using bombs and arrows. Head south of the first screenshot to reach the card.

I have all 23 cards. How do I get the achievement?

In order to get the achievement, talk to Garen (the bald card enthusiast) after you have all 23 cards. He is located near the expensive shopkeeper in Aogai.
