Introduction
Hello, and welcome to my guide on how to get the achievement Master Archivist. As you may already know, to get it you must collect every note in both Amnesia: The Dark Descent and Amnesia: Justine. The note locations were taken from the Amnesia Wiki: [link], and I’ve taken myself screenshots of every note, since some are quite tricky to spot. Let’s get started with the notes found in Amnesia: The Dark Descent!
Amnesia: The Dark Descent
There are 21 notes in the main story. It is important to keep in mind that all the notes must be picked up in the same walkthrough. For example, if you picked 19 notes on your first walkthrough, you missed two notes. If you start a new game and pick those two notes, it will not unlock your achievement. So go ahead and start a new game, it will be a better way to track all the notes you’ve collected so far. Let’s begin with our note hunt!

Found at the end of the Old Archives, on a desk.

Wilhelm’s Contract
Found in a bookshelf in the Catalogues room, in the Archives.
Local Folklore
Found in a display in the Local History room. You must break the glass in order to collect it.

There are 9 notes in the Justine expansion. Again, they must be collected in the same walkthrough, or it will not count towards the achievement.
