This instinct warn us from dangerous situations, if there is a person who looks evil, or if someone tries to hurt you, your brain say to you I am in danger. The normal reaction would be that you try to escape ( the best choice). So we can make the right decisions in dangerous situations because we will start to think rational at this moment. Thats why humanity can exist for such a long time. Fear isn’t a bad thing, it will improve your focus for the right decisions.

The brain can’t only hardly make an difference between the game and a real danger.because the player had never contact with such stuff. With the time the player will be resistant, because the brain learned to understand that you are not in a danger. The difference between reality and the game is automatic safed in our brains then. If It is a long time past since I played a Horror game I will be more scared, as if I would play it every week. Even if you think you know it is a game, sure we all know this, our brain react against our will. If someone is behind you and you didn’t see him coming, you might be scared if you are not used to many of this situations.

A lot of people have a fear, but why ? Is it because someting bad can happen to me ? I am just sitting in front of the computer right ? Even dancing is more dangerous isn’t it ? level 1 Use loud headphones ( the best sound quality and not too loud)

level 2 Play the game in a dark and quiet room.

level 3 Dont play the game before it is night.

level 4 say to your own brain I have a Fear I have a Fear I will have a Fear. You are in a nightmare now there is no escape because you will play the game without a break until the end and there is no escape (: You will have a bad feeling because the possibility to leave the game when you want is missing ( not really, but try to be honest to your self, so that this can works) Do it like a sport lesson and don’t stop until you reached the target. But of course play the game if you have enought time and nothing to do (a holiday or the weekend would be good for it).

Level 5 Wait for a perfect night with a thunderstorm and a strong wind, this will have a great effect on you, because you might feels unconfortable.

Level 6 The room should be cold ( not too cold but I would say 19 degree or colder with a jacket). You will feel confortable in a warm room and you might becomes tired. Our brain might say warmth is good and coldness is not a good feeling.

Level 7 Think about, what is your biggest fear in your life, and see it in your brain during playing this game (if you are sure you have no phobias or serious anxieties).

Level 8 Place very scary posters around your room. ( If you don’t like spiders or werewolves good idea). ( not when you have a phobia !)

Level 9 If this is not enough, you need a video with a loud phone during playing, and knocking doors.

Level 10 You need the true Amnesia, use flickering lights, with horror musik combined with a very cold and dark atmosphere or place, close the door until you finished the game, Play the game nonstop 5-6 Hours ( not more). Use a fan for fresh air ( but be careful not that you got a cold) (:. be carful with the flickering lights use them not all the time because they are bad for your eyes, so when you use them then only a short time.

Make a trip to an old mansion in the forest and play the game at night.

Play the game in an old castle in England when it is night and bad weather outside. an Holiday night in an castle is possible in 2022 I think, for them who like such trips.

Master Level: The punishment is it to play the same game again and again until you reach the target without beeing killed by a monster or if you can’t reach the target time. It hasn’t to be on the same day of course. But only the feeling that you have to play this nightmare again and again makes it really scary. But not 2 times in a row of course. There must be a limit.

It is because our brain feels confortable, when we can see all things around us. The light give us a safe feeling. In the night we can’t see everything or even nothing. So our immagination says dark is the same as darkness, even when the light and dark are natural and have nothing to do with darkness or happines.

Sound:

why is it important to use headphones ? It is because the normal sound is around you and the headphones mights gives you the feeling, the voices are direct in your head. And your brain will react fast. A loud sound which comes suddenly will have a bigger effect because it feels so near. to example someone shouts in a distance you will not be shocked, but if it is near you might feels not good. It is an natural instinct. If something is around us in a distance it is not that scary, but if something is near us we have to be more careful .Its automatic safed in our brains that we can calculate distances.

Why is the weather important:

How do you feel on good days and how your feel on rainy days ? The bad weather is also a sign for lonliness, because we will not leave the house as often as we would do when the sun is shinning. In our immagination the bad wheater is the sign for lonliness and fear. even when it isn’t so. So our brain say to us turn on the light please. our brain will makes sure that we feel better. The storm and thunder has also a very hight effective effect on us, because we feel captured when we can’t leave the house. Our brain don’t like this and we feels not good.
The sun will have the opposite effect, because sun is a sign for freedome. We could leave the house when ever we want, it is warm, and we feel us better. So every Horror game isn’t that scary anymore for the most of us ( especially for resistant players it would be a waste of time).

Why do we feel better in warm rooms and why we are afraid in cold rooms ?

It is only natural because our brain says in a warm place nothing bad can happen, and a dark place has lost every possitive energie. Why is this so? We need warmth to live and coldness is not good for us. So our instinct will say, you should look for a warm place where you can stay. If we don’t do it we will feels unwell . It is a warning from our brain. Even when we are wearing a jacket.

Why is our brain the key of fear:

Like I said in the beginning chapter. If you know you will have a fear you will have a fear. If you say this game will not scary, It will not be scary. It is the same as you would say I feel bad, or if you say I feel happy. Our brain is the controll center of our body and our body will do what our brain think. If I see this game as funny I won’t be scared during playing it. but if I see it as the mirror to my biggest fear I will be scared . So for us resistant players we have to learn the fear again. but of course it will not be the same fear as before.

If we are used to walk in the dark we won’t afraid but if we are to used to walk to the office in the middle of the day as the most people do, we will feel bad if we have to walk home in the dark night.

To be honest a lot of people read a bit about a game before they play it, so they know if a game has a lot of scary situations or not. If all say the game is so boring and not scary, you will feels safe to play the game even the voices can’t afraid you because you know when the scary sitation comes. If someone would say to a game there are not monsters until the last scene, the game would becomes boring for you. Why ? you know this place is safe. To example If I would Tell you a story about a game ( just an example) where are 100 Monsters. You would be scared in every situation because you don’t know when they will appear. In the ending there was not any Monster. But you would say you was scared because it was loud and you don’t knew anything. The unknowing is the most scary factor of a game ! So never say in a Review I was not afraid, better say nothing or this game is really scary for a lot of players ( If I am resistant there is no game which can be scary for me, even when there are 100 Monsters).

A horror game without atmosphere is like singing without microfon.
