Overview
In this guide I’ll show you how to stop the game from crashing. This guide should be helpfull if you have a touchscreen or a pen tablet, but it might work even if you don’t.
Disable “tabtip”, “tiptab”
Go to task manager, details, click on “tabtip.exe” or “tiptab.exe” if present and click on “End Task”.
If present, try playing the game now again, if it helps just keep in mind that you’ll have to do this every time you restart your computer.
If it didn’t work or you can’t find it in the task manager, continue on to the next step.
Disable and find any touchscreen or tablet pen services
Open task manager, details, go to the tab “Services” and look for any services with the keywords like “tablet pc”, “touch keyboard”, “handwriting”, “input” and similiar.
One of them should be “TabletInputService”, if you see this one, this one is a bit trickier to turn off since it automatically restarts itself.
Press “WINDOWS + R” and type in “services.msc”
In the newly opened window, look for this service:
Right click on it and open “Properties”.
Change “Startup type” to disabled:
Then click on “Apply”, don’t hit “OK” yet. Now stop the service:
After the service is stopped, click “OK” and close all windows you opened when following this guide.
