Overview
Need to complete the cancer that is Lily Lord? Tired of slow strategies that require more keyboard inputs than playing a visual novel? This guide shows what is one of the simplest fast methods to farm Lily ranks!
Pre-Requisites
This guide requires you to have the following
- One Hit KO Cheat
- Story Irregular Quest “Volcanic Liquid” unlocked
If you lack the One Hit KO cheat, you should use the method that farms the single dogoo in Neptral tower instead. You pretty much need One Hit KO to use this method efficiently, because 9999 power is not enough to consistently kill the monsters on most characters.
Strategy
This is the strategy we will be using. Start the quest Volcanic Liquid and select your pairing of choice. One thing to note: You should avoid selecting Noire and Uni as your leader, this is because they lack skills that hit all 4 monsters. Uni has her X SP skill which does, but Noire is out of luck in this area.
All other characters will kill all 4 with one press of Y, no other input necessary.
Input Details
I will cover how to optimally enter inputs to achieve fast farming times in this section. It seems obvious, but sometimes the little optimizations matter.
This assumes you’ve just finished one Quest and you’re now waiting for the loading screen to throw you back into the main world map.
Once the map is loaded:
- Left Click Twice (Do not move your mouse, it defaults to the two options you want to select even if your mouse is already on something else and won’t change unless you accidentally move your mouse.)
- Move mouse to Volcanic Liquid, Left Click
- Select your pairing, Start the quest
- Move your mouse to where the Advance button will appear (You will eventually remember where it spawns)
- Mash Left Click (Not too fast, you don’t want to fatigue yourself)
- Do not stop mashing until you’ve started the intro animation. You can’t skip it with Y.
- Once you see the camera in the normal position centered on your character: PRESS Y
- Mash Left Click to skip the end of fight junk.
- Repeat from the first step.
If you’re having trouble predicting the position of the Advance button in the loading screen, it’s typically around the first quarter of the screen horizontally on the left, and vertically near the top of the Now Loading text.
Inaccurate Math
I’ve found it takes around ~25 rounds to get a pairing from 1 to 10. This is purely an estimated arbitrary figure, and since there’s SOME element of RNG when it comes to lily level grinding, I don’t have a more accurate statistic. Usually it’s less than 30, but it’s normally more than 20 rounds.
There are a total of 45 pairings in the game, assuming you need to get level 1-10 on all of them (you don’t, this is a worst case scenario figure because some pairings start at level 2+) you will need 468 minutes at 25 seconds per cyle or around 7.8 hours, making it the most painful grind achievement in all of Hyperdimension Neptunia’s Steam releases so far. This achievement can burn in a fire. (The Loveable X one in Rb3 isn’t nearly as bad due to Symbol Attack gains and being able to do 4 pairings at a time.)
