Overview
Why would anyone want to pick some clunky melee character over one of your super overpowered spellcasters in a beat em up? As it turns out, Purple Heart (and by relation, Neptune) is a pretty good pick too. With this guide, you too can become a professional purple killing machine!
Introduction
We get it, Rom, Ram and Uni are amazingly strong characters with their ranged abilities and super mobility when in HDD form, as such they always seem to be the natural choice amongst gamers who want to beat stuff up. However, Neptune has her own redeeming points too. It does take some practise to learn and understand how to use her. Once you master it, you’ll soon be the master of breaking all the enemies and potentially the 4th wall as well.
Requirements
In order to purple heart like a true nep master, you need to be purple heart. There are various ways of acquiring EXE gague to transform. Beating your enemies to death is the more popular of them. However, Since we’re playing Neptune, lets roleplay a bit and be lazy by using one of her equipment slots to equip the scramble engine which gives us a full EXE Gague when we start the quest. There, you’re ready!
Learning the Combo
This can be very complicated, so please pay close attention so you don’t miss a crucial step!
Also, this requires some dexterity, you need to execute as fast as possible to be effective in combat.
- Aim your control stick (or input the correct movement keys) in the direction of your desired target
- Press X (or whatever you bound it to)
I know this sounds very complicated and confusing, but hear me out. This is the button control for the Keyboard or an XBOX 360 Controller, if you’re playing on a VITA or with some playstation controller, it’s the SQUARE button, not the X button! If you’re playing on a keyboard it’s by default the I key, that’s a capital i and not an L. The i key is located next to O (not zero) U (not your physical location) and K (not a shortened form of OK). - Repeat From Step 1 until all targets are eliminated.
Congratulations! You’re now a Perfect Producer! Master of Nepping!
You win!
Congrats! You can now pull off amazing feats of skill by eliminating mass amounts of enemies with unparalleled precision!
Bonus: Nepgear
Now that you’re a master at Neptune, you might be intersted to take on another challenge: Her sister, Nepgear.
The way to become a master at Nepgear is practically identical, but with one crucial difference: Select Nepgear instead of Neptune in the character selection screen!
