Overview
Are you one of the ones affected by bethesdas stupid updates that actually don’t update anything and just ruin your entire mod list ?Well then, I have good news because you can simply follow these steps and get your old SkyrimSE.exe back !
How to downgrade using Steam
1. Start by pressing win+R, and then pasting: steam://nav/console
2. A steam console should appear now, just paste the following line: download_depot 489830 489833 7780040377772731640 Thank you Drain on Society
3. The v1.5.3 exe will be downloaded to […]steamapps/content/app_489830/depot_489833
4. Just go to where the exe was downloaded and paste the old exe inside your root skyrim folder replacing the “new” one.
Now you can start SKSE64 again and continue your Skyrim adventure!
A new version of SKSE 64 is available Here[skse.silverlock.org]
If you updated to the new version of SKSE you will probably also need the new .exe, for that you only need to delete the .exe and then check the integrity of the game, after that you will have the new .exe downloaded (If you used TESEdit you will also need to clean the files again)
