Eremus' Necromancer Mod List for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition

Eremus’ Necromancer Mod List

Overview

A list of the best tips and mods for SE to levitate your necromancer roleplaying to another plane of oblivion.

Essentials

Unofficial SE patch (for bug fixes of course)
Alternate start – live another life (roleplay “I am a necromancer in an excluded lair”)
Ordinator perk overhaul (Conjuration branch has a lot of fleshed out Necromancer perks)
Undeath Remastered (A very cool questline that allows you to become an all powerful lich by unbinding your own soul)
Immersive lichdom for Undeath (makes the lich transformation and staff of worms artifact from undeath more worthwhile)
Undeath Remastered – Classical Lichdom (adds over 30 new perks to the lich transformation making the experience in line with being a werewolf or vampire lord)
Crypt of the old guard (vampire home mod, but can also suffice as a great necromancer lair)
Nether mage armor (a very cool dark mage armor set, perfect for ones who cheat death)
Apocalypse – magic of skyrim (very cool and useful spells also for necromancy and conjurers (don’t forget to install the ordinator compatibility patch))
Undead FX (a mod that casually removes the flesh of of reanimated zombies causing them to look more unique and more like zombies (this is random so no zombie should ever look the same again))

Optional

Sacrosanct – vampires of skyrim (for when you want to play as a vampire necromancer)
Tainted blood of the dragonborn (allows you to be both a lich and a vampire at the same time)
Dukkhas forbidden death magic (Magic to make your enemies explode and dissolve into bloody piles of bones and meat (for the most evil mages)) —> Be wary that this mod is very graphic and gory!
Predator vision (if you play a vampire, you probably want a good way to spot potential corpses in the dark)
Frozen Electrocuted Combustion (makes your enemies corpses burn, electocute or freeze solid when you hit them with destruction spells for immersion)
Fangs and eyes (if you want to make your optional vampire character more vampire-y looking)
Bandolier – Bags and Pouches (for wearable books, satchels and vials for every necromancer or mage)
Zims immersive artifacts (for better daedric artifacts and unique items, that live up to their lore description)

Be noted that when using Tainted Blood and Sacrosanct: Being both a lich and vampire causes a bug with almost unlimited health on your character when you die of sun damage with the Dragon At Midnight vampire perk. So when using this DO NOT ACTIVATE THE DRAGON AT MIDNIGHT PERK FROM SACROSANCT!

There is also a hidden secret from the vanilla game, ESO has a very cool video showcase on how to do this for yourself:

With these mods you should also be able to try to recreate one of Fudgemuppets Necromancer builds:

Personal word

Roleplaying as a necromancer, who has unbound their soul in order to cheat death, and has almost no morality is one of the best experiences you can have in this game.
I have not seen any guide listing necromancer mods so I made my own.

All these mods are available on Nexusmods.com.
Please leave comments with personal characters, backstories and links to screenshots you made yourself or if you have a suggestion for another tip of mod I should add to this guide.
I would like to hear them.

This should levitate your necromancer playtrough to the next realm of oblivion.
Enjoy 🙂
