Somewhat Simple Guide for ME2 Startup With Origin Client or an Origin Account (via the web)

Overview

Hopefully a simple point to point guide for getting ME2 content working. I hope this helps since I had to go through several guides to get it working.

Register your game with EA/Origin

1. The following process does involve the Origin Client. I know it sucks, but it was easier to get working for me.
2. After many frustrations with getting this game working with the DLC, I am compiling the simplest way to get the game working.
3. First, make sure to get your ME2 Deluxe Key. You can start up the game and get this from the config file.
   a. NOTE: You might have to verify game integrity if it is not installed correctly.
4. Next, go to Origin and create or log into your account.
5. Register your key on your Origin Account.
6. You should now see it in your Origin library.
7. Right-click on the game either in the client or a web browser and click “Show Game Details.”
8. Then click on the tab that says “Extra Content.”
9. Now you can see your content with your registered code from Steam. You do not have to download it here; click the “Get” tab to acquire it through your account.

Download Your Content

1. Next, you can manually download all your content through this official EA link (they have it for external game stores)

Launching Your Game

1. Once you install your content, you can finally launch the game and login into your EA account.
   a. NOTE: Some people might have to change their password to a shorter password. Not sure if this still applies. Some say you cannot have special characters or too long of a password. Again, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid, I know.
2. You might have to exit and reload the game, but it should finally work after this moronic process. EA needs to work with Steam on just linking/registering your Steam account with them, but oh well. Good luck!
