How to make Steam launch SKSE instead of the default Skyrim Launcher
1 – Go to the game folder and rename “SkyrimSE.exe” to “Skyrim.exe”
2 – Rename “skse64_loader.exe” to “SkyrimSE.exe”
3 – Go to “Data” folder and if you don’t have the SKSE folder, create one. (The filepath should look like this steamappscommonSkyrim Special EditionDataSKSE)
4 – Right click and edit the SKSE.ini [If there’s no “SKSE.ini” inside the SKSE folder, create one named “SKSE.ini”]
5 – Paste into the ini the following:
[Loader]
RuntimeName=Skyrim.exe
6 – Save the SKSE.ini
7 – Run Skyrim via Steam and Steam should now auto launch SKSE instead of non SKSE
