Overview
Skyrim is a huge game, and as a player, you’ll encounter different type of enemies and NPCs with different attacks, weapons, styles, spells or even different form, speed, and many other stuff. In this guide, we’re simply going to try to go throught every single enemy/NPC. I do not promise anyone that We’ll do it though, but why not give it a try.
Introduction
First, we need to talk about what makes an enemy stronger than another.
Enemies can differ a lot, but In the end, everything has a level, HP, and Stamina. When it comes to Magicka, not every enemy has it. Because not everyone really uses magic, an animal for example, won’t use any kind of spells, on the other hand, there are many different types of mages that will use almost nothing but magic spells.
One important thing to mention here, is that the level of some enemies changes, and it increases when your own level increases. You might even start fighting new, stronger enemies as you level up. For example not all bandits have the same level, even if all of them are bandits.
But, does that go to all enemies in the game? No, a really considerable amount of enemies and NPCs have a static level, and they will always keep that level from the second you start the game until the last quest you do, regardless of how high your level gets.
Needless to say that HP, Magicka and Stamina also increases with the level, the size of a creature might change as well, same for equipments and weapons.
Weakest enemy
I’d like to start with a simple question.
Who is the easiest enemy in this game?
Well, a lot of enemies that you fight early on low levels are weak, you’ll find them weak even if you are at level 3-6 or maybe even 1-2. It’s hard to say. Thought many players might think the Skeleton you find in caves or ruins is the easiest enemy in skyrim. However, It’s hard to say if it is or not.
The skeleton has a static level of 1. yes, the skeleton is only level 1, and will always be level 1 even if you reach level 150. But what makes it hard to say it It’s the easiest enemy is the small red Frosbite Spider that also will keep the level 1 for ever. The Draugr and the Draugr Thrall will also join the static level 1 group. But the weakest of them all is actualy the Warrior type of the Draugr Thrall, because of his very low stats, he has 12 HP, 0 Magicka and 50 Stamina.
However, another version is the Warlock Draugr Thrall that has 50 HP, 150 Magicka and 200 Stamina and might cast a very weak Frost spell, doesn’t really change much.
Now the enemies that you find the most at lower levels are actualy the Draugrs and the Frosbite Spiders, so let’s move to that.
Draugr
The Draugr is one of the enemies that you’ll encounter a lot, no matter how high your level goes.
they are undead Nordic warriors of Skyrim. It is believed that draugr once served the Dragon Priests and you’ll notice that some of them even use different Words of Power such as Disarm and Unrelenting Force, High level Draugr will also use Frost Breath shouts.
All draugr are Immune to poison and have a Frost Resistance of 50%, this means they will recieve only half of the damage your frost spells deal, this makes Fire and Shock spells and Enchantments a better weapon than Frost ones against Draugr. Besides thier Resistance, the Draugr able to use magic will also use Frost spells, and that Includes: Frostbite, Ice Spike, and Conjure Frost Atronach.
The different types of Draugr are:
Draugr have a very high amount of HP with it comes to other enemies. The most annoying is the Draugr Deathlord, even though It is not the strongest, but at high levels you have a high chance of fighting around 10 of them in a single cave, you might even get attacked by 3 to 5 Deathlords at the same time, their high numbers, extremely high HP, and ability to use full 3 words of Unrelenting Force shout makes them very annoying. the One-handed warrior versions of the Draugr Deathlord and Draugr Death Overlord might carry an Ebony Shield and Death Overlords will surely have Ebony weapons, Meanwhile a Deathlord with Ancient Nord weapons is possible to find.
There are MANY Unique Draugr to talk about in Different caves in skyrim, with many different storylines.
At the end boss of Forsaken Cave you’ll encounter “Curamil”, he may be a maskless dragon priest at higher levels though.
A unique Draugr Death Overlord is Gatekeeper. Encountered in the Temple of Miraak after learning a word of the Dragon Aspect shout.
You also have Saerek and Torsten, the two Draugr Guardians of Ragnvald, encountered as Boss-Level.
The end boss of Halldir’s Cairn is also a Draugr, and It’s Haldir himself.
Encountered in Saarthal, Folgunthur, and Geirmund’s Hall, the Gauldurson brothers: Jyrik, Mikrul and Sigdis.
Another Draugr Death Overlord is King Olaf One-Eye, the final boss of Dead Men’s Respite.
Red Eagle, A boss-level draugr encountered in Rebel’s Cairn, He might be a Dragon Priest at higher levels.
And finally: Warlord Gathrik, the end boss of Ironbind Barrow. At higher levels, he may be a dragon priest as well.
Draugr were the servents of Dragon Priests, that explains why some of them learned dragon shouts, and why a dragon priest might be the end boss of a cave full of draugr. However, the wrong thing is the relationship between Dragons and Draugr, as Dragons are not allies with them, and might actualy attack them, meanwhile the Dragon Priests are allies to both Dragons and Draugr, this might be something wierd in the storyline or just a bug.
Dragons
Since we mentioned Dragon Priests and Draugr, I’ve got excited a bit, and so will everyone who decieded, for some reason, to read the whole guide, even thought It’s made to look on specific enemies.
When we start talking about Skyrim dragons, every single skyrim player would want to talk about one, specific, dragon. The one.. The Only.. The World-Eater in dragon tongue. Alduin!
(such an intro that was)
So we’ll start with Unique, named dragons first, with Alduin in the begining.
The “Destroyer Devour Master” scales with your level, Whatever your level is, Multiply it by 1.2 and that will be his level, however, he cannot pass level 100, and cannot go below level 10. that means Alduin will stop leveling when your level is 84, and will start leveling when you reach level 9. His very low Minimum level allows the player to finish all the quests related to him and kill him without leveling much. His HP and Stamina can be calculated as well.
HP is : 2,250 + (PC – 0.80) x 14
Stamina is : 50 + (PC-0.8) x 4
with “PC” being your level, NOT your Health/Stamina.
With that being said, his HP varies between 2,364.8 and 3,414.8. Might seem like too much, but actualy Serpentine, Revered and Legendary Dragons have more HP than that, we’ll talk about them below.
Unlike his health and Stamina, Alduin’s Magicka will always be 50, regardless of his level. All what he does besides breathing is related to shouts, making Magicka useless for him anyways.
Alduin has a very strong and annoying 50% Resistance to pretty much every elemental spell helping him and his high HP, another thing to deal with is his unique Meteor Storm shout that cannot be mastered or used by anyone else, including the player. It rains Meteros from the sky, Althought It’s not much hard to avoid and doesn’t deal that much damage, won’t be a problem for someone above level 15 or maybe even lower.
Bend Will shout does not work on Alduin. And it actualy won’t work on every single named dragon with Odahviing and Sahrotaar being the only exceptions due to the storyline.
Paarthurnaax is Alduin’s brother that sides against him in the “war” against the dragons. The “Ambition Overlord Cruelty” has a very low level of 10, and it never changes, making him a very easy fight, as fightning him is like fighting the weakest non-unique dragons that we’ll mention afterwards. Althought most of the players, including myself, take the choice of keeping Paarthurnax alive because there’s no reason to kill him after he was very helpfull. Other players might see a reason, but I don’t.
There’s not much to say about Paarthurnax, I don’t want to spoil everything in the storyline so I think that’s enough of Paarthurnax for now.
So here comes another friendly Dragon, the “Curse Never Dying” is the dragon that can be found in the Soul Cairn while doing the Vampire questline with Serana, the player has help from Serana and Valerica while fighting him. The Ideal Masters tricked him and now he guards the Soul Cairn, for life. He’s unable to get out because his powers won’t last long in Tamriel, however, after defeating him, Durnehviir will name the dragonborn “Qahnaarin”, or “Vanquisher” in human language.
Durmehviir has a static level of 20, making him not the hardest dragon to fight. His HP being 1821.
In combat, Durnehviir will use several shouts: Drain Vitality, Frost Breath, and Soul Cairn Summon, his personal shout that summons a boneman, a mistman, and a wrathman all at once.
These guys are not a joke, they might seem so from what they look like, but if you look at thier stats, they won’t go down without a fight. The boneman and wrathman will always have your same level until you get above level 30 for Boneman and level 40 for Wrathman, both have the minimum level 1.
When it comes to mistman, there are 3 types you can encounter, and also depends on your level, he can level 1, level 13, and level 21.
Since we mentioned these guys, let’s quickly mention the Keeper. The Keeper is simply, overpowered as f*cking hell, his level is PC level mutliplied by 1.2. to the minimum of 10, and the extremely high maximum level of 80.
His HP is: 250+(PC-1.2)×12
and his stamina is: 180+(PC-1.2)×6
and his Magicka will always be 0 or 200. Idk at what level it becomes 200 but he’ll never use it anyways. He’ll use dragonplate weapons which will do tones of damage, and he is really big when it comes to size, a bit taller than the Giant. The Keeper is one of the strongest enemies out there, but the fact that there are only 3 of them and you’ll only fight these 3 in the Soul Cairn during the quest, and his HP being not much high, makes the player not really worried about him, you won’t encounter him anywhere before and after this quest anyways.
“Sorcerer Day Mind” is the unique Frost Dragon that you’ll find outside of The Ruins Of Nchardak, after completing the quest there. He is a Frost Dragon, but will only act like a normal one when the player is below level 30, Krosulhah begins scaling with the level from level 30, to level 50. Al thought he’ll still act like a Frost Dragon with more HP and Damage as he levels up. One unexplained thing is that he does not drop Dragon Scales when killed.
It’s easy to know from what he says, that Miraak sent him to kill the Dragonborn and his companion for the quest of Nchardak, the wizard “Neloth”.
“Ancient Dominate” is one of the Dragons that flies around when the player fights Miraak, Miraak kills him to absorb his soul, you do not fight him but, he actualy scales with your level to the minimum of 10 and maximum of 50, and his max HP being 3071 making him a really good opponent to fight. But as I said, you do fight him in the storyline.
‘Allegiance Strong Hunt’ is the second dragon you’ll encounter, and the first dragon you’ll fight. you might find him but that’s because he scales with your level, to the minimum of 10 and maximum of 50. but you also have a bunch of Archers to help you when fighting him, he won’t be a big deal to fight.
Naaslaarum and Voslaarum’s names are not yet known. They are in the Forgotten Vale, Guarding a word wall, they will break a frost lake and come from under it and surprise you, for some reason, besides being in a very cold place that is all covered by Ice and snow, they breathe fire.
Naaslaarum and Voslaarum are the same thing, It’s like fighting one dragon that got duplicated into two or something like that, they will have the same stats, and these stats depends on your level.
Naaslaarum and Voslaarum will scale from level 10 to level 62 thier HP changes between 905 and 3511, wich means they will have more HP than Alduin when they reach level 59. They are a difficult fight since they will fight you at the same time, and have pretty good stats.
“Fury Burn Wither” is a dragon buried in a dragon mound on top a hill, he can be seen from Rorikstead, thought he won’t attack the town and will wait for the player to face him. He is one of several named dragons that Alduin resurrects throughout the course of the main quest.
Dragons 2
The “Snow-Hunter-Wing” is one of the two Named Dragons that you can ride using the bend will shout. Odahviing becomes an ally to the dragonborn once he is traped in Dragonsreach, and the after completing all the quests related to Alduin’s story, the shout “Call Dragon” can be used and Odahviing will come and fight for you once the shout has been used. Odahviing is also Essential before AND after the quests.
Odahviing also sclaes with your level but unlike most dragons he starts scaling at level 20 instead of 10. but his maximum is the same, It’s 50.
You might thing Relonikiv can be cut to 4 parts instead of 3, but no, it is 3 parts like all of the dragons, it is “Relo-Ni-Kiv” which means “Dominate Wise” with the 3rd meaning being unknown. Relonikiv is also a dragon that Miraak kills during his battle with you, so you won’t fight him. But like the other one before him, which is Kruziikrel, he scales with your level from 10 to 50 and also is a powerfull dragon if you get to fight him.
The “Phantom Sky Hunt” is a Black Dragon that is similar to Alduin when it comes to Appearance, he’s the dragon you fight at Kynesgrove. Not much to say about him, he cannot be encountered without any quests, and you’ll only fight him in the quest “A Blade in the Dark.”
Again, he scales with your level from 10 to 50, yes most named dragons scale from 10 to 50, I really don’t know why.
The “Phantom Word Servant” is also a Dragon that Miraak kills during his fight with you, but unlike Kruziikrel and Relonikiv, he’s the first dragon that you ride, because he’s the first to encounter once the three words of bend will shout are learned.
Sahrotaar does NOT scale with your level and works as a normal Serpentine Dragon, with a static level of 58 and he has 3565 HP making him, and all others Serpentine Dragons really strong for someone below level 50. The only common thing between Sahrotaar and his friends in the Black Blook (Kruziikrel and Relonikiv) is that he also dies to Miraak during the fight.
The “Shine Hammer Rage” can be encountered near Lake Yorgrim, he also scales with your level from 10 to 50, he doesn’t have much to talk about, one thing to mention is that you can encounter him while exploring the area without any quests, unlike Sahloknir.
The “Dark Maw Eat” can be found in an area that is unmarked on map and can be found northeast of Sunderstone Gorge and southwest of Sleeping Tree Camp, he also can be encountered there without any quests, and again, he scales with your level from 10 to 50. For some reason It’s impossible to encounter him before Sahloknir’s Death.
“Dark Overlord Fire” can be summoned by using the Unrelenting Force shout on the hanging yellow Dwemer gong within the Silent City in Blackreach. For some reason after landing to fight the player, he won’t fly anymore and stay on the groud until you kill him, even though he has the ability to fly and you first encouter him while he’s flying. Not using the shout as mentioned before will result in avoiding the Dragon, and killing him will not change anything in any quests, I’ll just give you an extra Dragon Soul and random dragon drops.
Vulthuryol is another dragon with a static, however, he is the same as every dragon that scales with your level, once that dragon has reached level 50, which means Vulthuryol is level 50 and his HP is 3071, which is the maximum health the other level-scaling named dragons can obtain.
Vulthuryol can be tamed using Bend Will shout, but still can’t be mounted.
Not a named but a unique Dragon that can only be found in Labyrinthian, and there’s only one. Unlike every single dragon, he is undead, cannot fly, and only drops dragon bones without any scales. Despite having a static level of 20, he is easier to defeat than the normal dragon that has a static level of 10, because he has a terrible 100% weakness to magic, which means every spell will deal a lot more damage than its regular damage, making him very weak. He also has only 500 HP so any Expert level spell will finish him off in very little time, knowing that the weakest living dragon has 905 HP, we can say that the Skeletal Dragon is the easiest dragon to defeat. Even the strongest Giant Frostbite Spider has more HP than the Skeletal Dragon (510).
Non-Unique Dragons
Before we start talking about non-uniques, we need to mention that all non-unique dragons have a weakness and resistance to Fire or Frost,
If the dragon breathes Fire, then he has a Resistance to fire and a Weakness to frost, and the opposite in case we have Frost breathing.
Weakness is always 25%, Resistance changes with the level.
Unique dragons do not have any Resistance or Weakness, the only Exceptions are:
– Alduin, Weakness to nothing and Resistance to everything, including shock.
– Skeletal Dragon, Weakness to everything, including shock, and Resistance to nothing.
Here’s a quick table showing every single kind of non-unique dragons:
– There are no fire versions for Frost Dragons, and no frost versions for Revered Dragons.
– Legendary Dragons have 4163 HP for Fire versions, and 4363 for Frost versions. The reason is unknown.
– Serpentine Dragons can only be found in Solstheim.
– Serpentine Dragons spawn once the player’s level is 59, but Sahrotaar will spawn in the Dragonborn DLC quests at any level.
– No dragon can use Shock Magic in any possible way.
– All Dragons have the shout “Fire breath” or “Frost breath” obvisouly.
– All non-unique dragons can be mounted.
– Legendary Dragons have a chance of resisting Bend Will shout.
Dragon Priests
Since we finished talking about Draugr and Dragons let’s move to the Dragon Priests.
These Dragon Priests are one of the strongest enemies in skyrim, being unique or non-unique.
The unique Priests are all masked and will drop thier mask as a loot when they are defeated, along with a random staff. Meanwhile the non-unique maskless dragon priests will only drop thier staff.
All Skyrim Dragon Priests are level 50 and share the same HP, all Solstheim Dragon Priests are level 60 and also share the same HP, the exceptions are Zahkriisos, Vahlok and Miraak.
Miraak used to be a Dragon Priest before discovering the Black Books and moving to the service of Hermeaus Mora, we’ll talk about him later, for now let’s talk about Zahkriisos.
Zahkriisos is a Solstheim Dragon Priest and the only Dragon Priest that scales with your level, with the minimum of 25 and the maximum of 60. when he reaches level 60 he becomes the same as the other Dragon Priests of Solstheim.
Vahlok works as a skyrim Dragon Priest even thought he’s in Solstheim, unknown reason.
Dragon Priests are based on one kind of magic, Shock, Fire or Frost. Krosis being the only exception for being able to deal both Frost and Fire spells because of being a Frost based Dragon Priest and holding a “Staff of Fireballs”
Here’s a Table showing all unique Dragon Priests.
Maskless Dragon Priests are also level 50, sharing the same spells and HP with unique Skyrim Dragon Priests. Maskless Dragon Priests are also Fire, Frost, or Shock Based.
Miraak & Black Book Enemies
Miraak is a dragonborn who served dragons as a dragon priest then turned against them and went to Hermaus Mora, the Deadric prince of knowledge and fate. Miraak served Hermaus Mora just to gain knowledge and power, he learned the Bend Will Shout from him, and is using it at the Stones of Solstheim so the people there will build his temple and he’ll rule of solstheim, he also bends the will of dragons and has three dragons inside the Black Bood: Walking Dreams, which are Relonikiv, Kruziikrel and Sahrootar.
Miraak is also a very strong mage and melee fighter, he has own set of armor and weapons like the Ebony Warrior, his Robes, Gloves and Boots have a chance to spawn a tentacle expolsion which will surprise the enemy and deal good damage and poison, his Mask gives him extra Magicka. Miraak’s Staff allows to him to spray a wall of tenctacles on the ground dealing HP damage and also causing poison effect. His sword absorbs Stamina from the target.
Miraak knows a lot of shouts besides Bend Will such as Fire Breath, Frost Breath, Dragon Aspect, Become Ethereal, Cyclone, Whirlwind Sprint, and Unrelenting Force. He will also use Sparks and Lightling Bolt spells. In addition to his personal Shout that the player cannot get, which kills the Dragons instantly to absorb thier souls, his shout is said as “Ziil Los Dii Du” which means “Your soul is mine to devour.” Miraak will fully regenerate health and Magicka once the dragon’s soul is absorbed, However, he only uses it three time, as there are only three dragons around.
Miraak scales really well with the player’s level having a very high Minimum of 35 and Maximum of 150, his HP varies between 747 and 1220, but as said before, he’ll fully recover it three times.
Cultist are Miraak’s servants and will defend his temple once the dragonborn attacks it with Frea.
Cultists are always Mages carrying a level dagger, there are five levels of Cultists
All mentioned above might summon a flame atronach in the begining of the fight.
Seekers are Daedric Servants of Hermaues Mora, they can be found in the Black Books and will be good opponents.
Seeker and Seeker Aspirant will create one clone, High Seeker will create two.
Lurkers are also Daedric Servants of Hermaus Mora, having the size of a Giant and very high HP, they can also be a good opponent in the Black Books and after Bending the Will of a Stone in Solstheim.
Bandits
Bandits are the weakest human enemies you’ll find around caves and strongholds and random places out there in the world, they are hostile and will attack you, there aren’t much to say about the Bandits though, I mean, just normal outlaws who loot, hunt and kill, Bandits!
Different type of Bandits are:
About the Uniques, there’s a total of 36 unique bandits and they do not have anything special when it comes to combat or HP, they just work as one of the non-unique bandits and most of the time a Bandit Chief, so I don’t think I will talk about 36 bandits like, come on.
Enemies of Companions, “Silver Hand” works like Bandits.
Forsworn
The Forsworn are more interesting than the bandits, and of course tougher.
Let’s start with the different types of non-unique Forsworn you can find:
-Melee fighters will use no spells
-Archers will use only healing spells
-Mages will use all spells mentioned
-Mages (other than Briarheart Mages) are all females
-All Briarhearts are males
-There is no Archer version for the Briarhearts
-Briarhearts melee fighters are the only melee fighters to use healing spells (Fast healing)
There are no Unique Forsworn that you fight but one of my favourite quests in the game is the Forsworn Conspiracy in Markarth, I really like Its story and we are going to mention the Forsworn agents in this story, note that thier fighting style has nothing to do with the non-unique Forsworn you fight, and each of them works something else, but they are in Markarth to cause trouble under the name of the Forsworn.
It is said that the Forsworn were in Markarth before Ulfric Stormcloak and the Nords forced them out, which is why the Silver-Blood family members consider Ulfric a hero.
Madanach, the Forsworn king, he’s in cidhna mine prison and he’s the one who orders the Forsworn agents to move in Markarth as he likes, he passes the orders via letters to Nepos The Nose who also is a Forsworn agent, Nepos then, passes the orders to the one chosen to do the crime, Markarth Guards however, made a deal with Madanach, the deal itself is not explained in the game but the Guards do nothing but clean up the mess after the crimes, with no attempts to prevent the crime from happening. The first time the player reaches Markarth, the gate Guards will ask him to not get involved in anything and to let the Guards do thier job, after entering the first thing saw is Weylin attempting to murder Margret, If not stoped and killed by the player, he will kill her, and a Markarth Guard will kill him afterwards. Weylin is a Forsworn agent that works at a mine in Markarth and lives in The Warrens like all the other workers. Margret, on the other hand, is an Imperial agent, she stays in the Silver-Blood Inn most of the time.
Another non-important Forsworn agent is Borkul The Beast, he guards Madanach in Cidhna Mine.
Vampires & Dawnguards
The Vampires are the strongest part of the non-unique enemies you can found, they are extremely overpowered at higher levels and the Dawnguard stand no chance against those high level Vampires.
Like the bandits and Forsworn, each Vampire has a static level.
One thing to mention though is that there are Master Vampires and normal Vampires, the Master Vampires are always Male for an unknown reason, and they are the bosses of each Vampire Lair or Cave you go throught as they are encountered in the end. The Master Vampire is the only Vampire to scale with your level, they stop scaling at a very high level of 64, and turn into the Nightmaster Vampire that has a static level of 65. The Nightmaster Vampire is simply, the BEST non-unique enemy in the game, but because he’s a boss fight, some might not consider him a non-unique and if you do, the strongest non-unique enemy in the game will still be a Vampire, which is The Nightlord Vampire, reaching a static level 60.
The Nightmaster Vampire, for some reason, does have female versions, but the Master Vampire does not. Meanwhile it is impossible to find a male Nightlord Vampire.
What makes the Vampires so strong is thier 50% Resistance to Frost and 100% Resistance Poison, you’ll also notice that lowest-level Vampires can even use good spells to fight you, plus thier Vampiric Drain spell that can be really really usefull at some point, plus, compared to other enemies, the Vampires generally have a very high HP, and it is very rare to find a single Vampire alone, without a Thrall, a Death hound, or another Vampire.
However, all Vampires still suffer from a 50% Weakness to fire.
So here’s a table showing us the different type of normal vampires:
In addition of all spells they use, they have leveled swords and axex, not daggers like other mages, so when they run out of Magicka they won’t be an easy enemy still as they do deal good damage to you with thier swords and axes, thier armor though is not much, only giving them 40, but It doesn’t matter if you’re fighting an Ancient or a Nightlord as their HP is extremely high for thier level.
Now when it comes to Master Vampires, It’s not really worth doing a table, I mean thier HP varies between 252 and 669, and thier level between 14 and 42, you’ll keep fighting the level 42 until you are level 65 and that’s where the Nightmaster Vampire comes, even if you are higher level than him, he will still pull off a good fight until the player goes to around level 75.
The Nightmaster Vampire is simply a Nightlord Vampire with 1226 HP instead, they will use the same spells and fight the same way. So will the other Master Vampires just with reduced spells and HP, all Vampires are the same in the end.
The Thrall is NOT a vampire, it just serves Vampires, It’s not much of a challenge as the guy’s level scales from 1 to 40 and can be a warrior, a mage, It’s impossible to actualy give full info on the Thrall, sometimes a bandit might be a Thrall serving a Vampire. But they are always not much of a deal. The Thrall will simply attack everyone who isn’t a vampire.
We can go very fast around the Unique Vampires, of course first we have Harkon, Serana and Valerica who are the main NPCs of the storyline, but pretty sure everyone wants to talk about Harkon.
I really don’t know why but Harkon is weak, very weak, he won’t be a hard fight for anyone at any level, Harkon scales with your level, but he only scales from 10 to 60, making the Nightlord and the Nightmaster Vampires better than him, with spells and HP besides level. Serana levels up with the player from level 12 to 50 and works as a Nightlord Vampire with much more less HP and she cannot use the Thunderbolt spell, she does use Chain Lightning though. Valerica works same as Serana.
The rest unique Vampires aren’t really worth mentioning, you have Alva’s story in Morthal, and the dark brotherhood targets Hert and Hern, actualy you kill Hern and keep Hert alive but yeah.
One strange thing is Babette, the Dark Brotherhood “young” girl, this girl is three hunderd years old, believe it or not, She is a Vampire, and the reason why she still looks as a young girl is unknown.
Death Hounds have a very weak static level 5, it is said that they are dogs that contracted Sanguinare Vampiris.
Gargoyles cannot be Paralyzied, and have 100% Resist to Poison, The normal Gargoyle is level 13, the Brute is level 25, and the Sentinel is level 43.
non-unique Dawnguard members scale with your level with the minimum of 5 and maximum of 25.
Celann, Durak, and Ingjard scale from level 1 to 10 as enemies, but if you join the Dawnguard and make them your followers, then they will have no level kap, which means if you are level 150, these guys will also be 150, same if you are level 300, or however high your level is.
Isran and Gunmar scale from 10 to 50, but even if they are level 50, they’ll have no chance against high leveled non-unique vampires.
Everyone else in the Dawnguard scale from 10 to 30. Huskies have a static level of 25.
Armored Trolls are level 14 while Armored Frost Trolls are level 22.
Falmers
Falmers are former Snow Elves, There only two more Snow Elves that did not turn to Falmers which are Knight-Paladin Gelebor and Arch-Currate Vyrthur, However, the place kills Vyrthur later on.
The Falmer is blind, which means It’s easy to sneak behind him, and he won’t detect you from a very long range, you need to be somewhat close to the Falmer for him to attack, however, If you attack him with a spell, he might still not see you, or he might run to attack you, depends on the range.
Falmers are usualy warriors with a One-handed sword and a shield, or Archers. It’s rare to find a mage Falmer but it can be found holding a staff with one hand and casting fire, frost or shock spells with the other.
Falmers are found in the Dwemer Ruins and Cities, it it said that these Dwemers are what turned the Snow Elves into blind, savage Falmers.
Different types of Falmers are:
The Feral Falmer is static level 9, the Frozen Falmer scales with the player from level 1 to 40.
Falmers can deal poison damage for 3 seconds, Warmongers deal it for 4 seconds.
Dwarvens
EVERYTHING mentioned in the table is 100% Immune to Frost and Poison, which means they won’t recieve Frost Damage and Poison, Forgemaster is even Resistant to Fire, but no one else is. Best weapon against Dwemers is shock.
Mages
Mages are enemies found in castles, keeps, caves, and so on, they have one of the best damage in the game at higher levels, but a very low hp in return, due to being unarmored and wearing black robes, they always carry a leveled dagger, and rarely a random staff as well.
Destruction Mages are either Fire, Shock, or Frost based, and these are the best mages.
Necromancers use a combination of Frost based Destruction spells and Zombie related Conjuration spells.
Conjurers use a combination of Fire, Frost or Shock based Destruction spells and Daedra related Conjuration spells.
Dremora & Vigilants of Stendarr
Dremora are deadric, umh, boys. Seriously I don’t know what exactly are they all about but let’s say humaniod creatures? that knows how to fight I guess, anyways:
Vigilants of Stendarr are Daedra Hunters, I don’t know why they hunt Daedra but anyways, they scale from level 5 to 25, and at any level will use a one-handed weapon and the Spells: Healing, Oakflesh, and Lesser Ward.
Frostbite Spiders
The Frosbite spiders are ugly, creepy spiders that might poison you with thier attacks. There are 3 different sizes that makes the spider stronger. Also, there are normal versions and Ice versions with the Ice having more HP and Stamina while sharing the same attacks, damage and poison effects. Every kind of these spiders have a static level that will never change, making them a walk in the park when the player reaches around level 25 and above.
One thing a new player might want to talk about is the early encountered Wounded Frostbite Spider in Bleak Falls Barrow’s early quest. This guy counts as a Giant Frostbite Spider, which means you’ll be fighting a level 14 enemy way early on, and he IS a hard opponent if you’re less than level 10. Another Wounded fella can be found in Dimhollow Crypt killed by a Nightmaster Vampire if Dawnguard DLC is Installed. A third one can be found in Ysgramor’s Tomb. And you won’t really encounter anymore Wounded Spiders anywhere, except next to Riverwood in a VERY RARE case.
So we’re done with the non-unique spiders, what about the Unique ones? Is there? yes!
A normal size female spider named “Lis” can be found next to “Gabriella” in the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary, and she is actualy the only Friendly spider in the game to you if you join the Dark Brotherhood. She is also friendly to other members of course. Lis counts as a normal small-size red spider, sharing the same very weak damage and HP.
Another Unique is a spider called “Nimhe” that sits in Nchuand-Zel Excavation Site beneath Markarth’s Understone Keep. He counts as a normal red Giant size spider, sharing the same damage and HP.
Mudcrabs
Mudcrabs are small blue crabs that lives beside rivers or anywhere with water, they can also cross rivers and swim in deep sea without any problems.
The Mudcrab is kind of useless to kill, killing him won’t drop any items worth killing him, plus the small fellas will not attack you unless you become really close, otherwise it won’t touch you.
There 2 different sizes of the Mudcrab, small and medium, althought both are level 2 and have 35 HP.
Believe it or not, There is two named Mudcrabs:
– Pincer, Pincer is a small Mudcrab, very small, even smaller than the normal Mudcrabs, Pincer is even level 1 and posses 5 HP. yes, only 5 points of health, ANYTHING in-game can finish the poor guy with a single hit. But that means he’s the weakest enemy in the game? No, Pincer is not an enemy, he’s a pet, If the player adopted a male child, there’s a chance that the child will bring Pincer to the house and ask the player if he can stay, If the player accepts, Pincer will follow the kid everywhere in the house, and stay in his bedroom once the kid leaves.
– Old Salty is a Mudcrab found on Solstheim. I don’t know why he is named, but he has 55 HP and he’s level 3, so he’s tougher than other Mudcrabs by 20 HP which is, nothing.
Skeevers
Skeevers are small creatures who look like Rats, The Skeever is level 1 with 15 HP.
The Venomfang Skeever, found only in the Honningbrew Meadery during the quest Dampened Spirits for the Thieves Guild, are level 7 with 75 HP. That’s it for Skeevers.
Wolves
Wolves are the most found animals outdoors, they aren’t much of a strong enemy though:
– Wolves might become non-hostile towards the players if he becomes a Werewolf, there’s also a low chance that the wolves follow him and fight for him.
– Alpha Wolves can only be spawned by console commands, unknown reason.
– Ice wolves only spawn in a place, you know, Ice? 😀
– All types of wolves are NEVER found alone, the minimum you can find is two wolves together, but never only one.
– Wolves can very rarely found as an ally to Bandits and Vampires.
Werewolves
Werewolves are much stronger than wolves, thier claws are very powerfull and can pull out powerfull knockdowns that might be dangerous sometimes, Werewolves are also very fast, making it very hard to escape from them and to cast spells at them.
– Some members of The Companions: Aela The Huntress, Farkas, Vilkas, Kodlak Whitemane, and Skjor, can become Werewolves.
– Members of Frostmoon Pack, found in Forstmoon Crag in Solsthiem: Akar, Hjordis, Majni and Rakel, can also become Werewolves.
– Sinding, in Falkreath Jail is a werewolf with the ring of Hircine
– You gain nothing from sleeping in your own bed, with your wife/husbang, once you have the Werewolf blood and the Beast mode power.
– Companion Werewolves’ Behaviour and Strenght are unknown since you do not fight them. However, Frostmoon Pack members will act like a normal Werewolf depends on your level.
Werebears
Werebears are always level 17, with 635 HP, and only be found on Solstheim, they fight like Werewolves with the same attacks and knockdowns and even have the same sounds,
Sometimes they might be seen as humans before transforming into a Werebear, and a Werebear might return to his human form after some time, they are always found in a group of three.
One unique Werebear is Torkild, you talk to him then he transforms into a Werebear and attacks you, Torkil is stronger than other Werebears as he is level 25, and has 740 HP, but shares the same attacks.
That’s everything for Werebears.
Spriggans
Spriggan is a wierd creature made of Wood and Magic. They are really annoying.
All Spriggans have the ability to enthrall nearby animals to come anf fight for them, they also poison you when they attack you at whatever range, even melee range. However, they suffer from a weakness to fire. However, thier Healing abilities is extremely annoying, as It’s very fast and recovers health fully.
30% Weakness to Fire.
40% Weakness to Fire.
Hagravens
Hagravens are, okay, I’m not sure what Exactly they are but let’s say humanoid creatures that are like, Witches. Hagravens are level 20, having 495 HP and the ability to cast Adept spells like Close Wounds, Fast Healing, Fireball, Firebolt and Ice Spike. They also have 10% Resistance to Magic, but it won’t change much in the fight.
They try to keep thier distance but will use thier claws to attack in melee range, they can cause “Brain Rot” disease to the player which is also not much of a problem. They aren’t really Daedra but might sometimes drop a Daedra heart for some reason.
Once low on HP they’ll surely use Close Wounds spell to heal themselves.
Moira is a unique Hagraven, encountered in the quest “A Night To Remember”, her stats are the same as any other Hagraven, However, her sister “Anise” is a witch, not a Hagraven.
Anise has 500HP and is level 30, she counts as a Conjurer, but she’s not a Hagraven.
Giants
All Giants are level 32, with 591 HP, they have the “Giant Stomp” attack as well as attacking with thier Club that deals tones of damage, they also have a Magic Resistance of 33%.
Giants are not aggressive, if you stay away from thier camps, they won’t attack you, getting close to them will result in being warned, ignoring the warnings will start a fight as the Giant will attack.
For some reason, there’s a hostile Giant in Blackreach, no idea how he got there.
A friendly Giant can be found in an unmarked location on the map, with a dead mammoth and tones of mammoth skulls, it is said that the area is kind of a graveyard where the Giants put the bodies and skulls of dead mammoths, a Giant can be found there standing, looking at a dead mammoth, the Giant will not warn the player to get Away from him, nor will he fight the player for any reasons except the player attacking him first. I consider this Giant Unique because there’s only one, even thought he is not named.
Grok is a Giant encountered in the quest “A Night To Remember”, where the dragonborn has to retrieve a goat from him. He acts like a normal Giant.
Frost Giants
Frost Giants are level 50 and have 1039 HP, they are the toughest randomly encountered creature. However they can only be encountered in the Forgotten Vale, unlike any other animal, The Frost Giant will not respawn once killed.
They have a 100% Resistance to Frost, 33% Resistance to Shock, and a 33% Weakness to Fire.
You know what’s coming boys, Karstaag.
Karstaag is simply the strongest enemy in the game, he has a static level of 90, and 4000 HP. he also has a 100% Resistance to Frost, Poison and Disease, as well as 75% Resistance to Shock, even though like other Frost Giants, despite his strenght, he still suffers from a 25% Weankess to Fire.
He is immune to Mehrune Razor’s and Wabbajack’s Instant Kill, as well as Unrelenting Force Shout, he also cannot be paralyzed and is immune to every kind of weapon enchantment, which means that whatever enchantments your weapons have, it won’t work against Karstaag.
Above all that, he will have a Blizzard surrounding him when you first Encounter him which will push you back if you get too close, he also summons Ice Wraiths during the battle.
He also benefits from a Health Regeneration of 20 points of Health per second, which will allow him to recover a lot of HP while you’re dealing with the very annoying Ice Wraiths.
Mammoth
Mammoth are the Companions of Giants, they have 930HP and are level 38 with a 33% Resistance to Frost, althought might be easier to fight than Giants due to thier low damage. Like Giants, Mammoths will warn the player to stay away from them several times before attacking in case the player got too close to them, If the Mammoth’s herding Giant is dead, the Mammoth might stop fighting. They are Immune to Paralyzes and cannot be freezed with Ice Form Shout.
They have Grand souls, making them very good for Enchanting.
There are no Unique Mammoths.
Bears
Bears are, you know, Bears. What do you me to explain about Bears.
They can be found anywhere, outdoors, in caves, and even indoors during the Companions quest “Animal Extermination”.
There are 3 kinds of Bears in Skyrim:
There is no Unique Bears.
Trolls
Trolls are three-eyed creatures found in caves and high mountains, and rarely between trees in forests. Trolls have an awesome ability to Regenerate Health but a terrible 50% Weakness to Fire. Fire also stops the Regeneration for a couple of seconds, It’s the best weapon for a Troll slayer.
Trolls have 280 HP and are level 14, Frost Trolls are level 22 with 460 HP, thought, when it comes to running speed, the Troll is faster than the Frost Troll.
Frost Trolls also have a 50% Weakness to Fire.
Besides thier Health Regeneration, what makes Trolls annoying is that they can be encountered at any level.
Udefrykte is a unique Troll found during the Dark Brotherhood quest, “The Cure for Madness”, at the Dawnstar Sanctuary in an ice cave, he looks like a Troll, but has the HP and the level of a Frost Troll.
Sabre Cats
Sabre Cats are anything but Cats.
Chaurus
Chaurus are large insect allies to Falmers, they can be very annoying, Especialy the Hunters.
There are 4 kinds of Chaurus in the game:
There is no Unique Chaurus.
Ash
Ash Guardian is a summoned Daedra that looks similar to the Storm Atronach, It has a static level of 30 and 601HP, they use a unique spell for them called “Ash Spray”

Ash Hoopers are small creatures that are hostile and will attack the player if he comes around, they can come from uner the earth by surprise, they are level 4 and have 155 HP.
Magic Anomaly
The Magic Anomaly is the only enemy in the game that will scale with your level, no matter how high it is. It’s level is always your level mutliplied by 1,75. Means if you’re level 200, they are level 350.
The Magic anomaly deals almost no damage on attacks but has a very high HP and it hard to kill.
They only appear in the College of Winterhold storyline though.
Wisps, Wraiths & Shades
The Wisp is a small glowing, flying and weak creature and barely deals any damage and has 50HP, and It also is level 1.
The Shade is bigger than the Wisp, thought not enough to be a challenge, It’s only level 5 with with 36HP, it even has less HP than the Wisp.
The Corrupted Shade is a bit tougher, it levels up with the player to the minimum of 1 and maximum of 100, but still aren’t much of a fight, Corrupted Shades in Vahlok’s Tomb are always level 1, no matter what level the player is.
The Wispmother is another Story, it surely can be a challenging fight for anyone below level 25, It has 600HP and it stands at a static level of 28, It also has the abilities of Waterwalking and Health Regeneration, In Addition to unique spells to her, which are Speed Burst, Conjure Shades, Ice Volley with the spell Ice Spike.
The Ice Wraiths are level 9 and have 193 HP, they also have a 25% Weakness to Fire, but are 100% Immune to Frost, they fly and will bite the player as thier melee attacks, they can also fly above Water.
The Fire Wyrm is a Wraith similar to the Ice Wraiths but has fire-based attacks instead of frost, as well as 25% Weakness to Frost and 100% Resistance to Fire, It can also fly above water. Fire Wyrms are level 11 and have a bit of a high HP of 316. They are summoned by the player when he kills an enemy with the Fire Breath Shout, only if the player has the Dragonborn Flame Active Effect. Fire Wyrms will also do an exploding fire damage after death.
Ebony Warrior
The Ebony Warrior is one of the Strongest Enemies in skyrim, he sits at level 80 and has 2071 HP.
The Ebony Warrior wears a full enchanted set of Ebony armor, giving him 40% Health Regenation Speed, 50% Resistance to Fire, Frost and shock, the ability to swim underwater, and 75% more damage with one-handed weapons.
His Ebony sword absorbs 25 points of HP per hit, and his Ebony Bow deals 30 points of Frost Damage to health and Stamina, he can also use Unrelenting Force and Disarm Shouts.
In addition to the spells: Close Wounds, Ironflesh, Frost Cloak, Conjure Storm Atronach, and Command Daedra. He’ll be a tough fight.
Ending
Well this took me like a week or so, I wish it gets helpfull to everyone who checks it out looking for a specific enemy, and of course you might come around some enemy that I haven’t mentioned, because skyrim is a very big game and It’s very possible that I missed an enemy and forgot to mention it, so If you notice some fella missing, please inform me and I’ll add it.
