Attikus DPS/Health Regen build for Battleborn

Attikus DPS/Health Regen build

Overview

===Summary===Attikus. One of the most underrated tanks in the game. His dps is argued by many to be fairly weak but this guide aims to show how to get the best out of him. This build focuses heavily around keeping Attikus alive while dishing as much damage as possible. Its very risky since to take full effect it needs up to level 7 but once you reach that point, you’ll basically make up for the time lost with very good dps/health regen.

Helixes

Level 1- Hedronic Siphioning
Level 2- Invigorating Pounce (advanced helix )
Level 3- Brawlers Boon
Level 4- Quickening Arc
Level 5- Hedronic Regeneration
Level 6- Disruptor Field
Level 7- Swift Strikes
Level 8- Big Splash
Level 9- Hedronic Chain
Level 10- Payback Time (advanced helix level 10)

Gear

Two attack speed,One health regen. (Hedronic Amplifier replacing one attack speed gear recomended to compensate for no staggering pounce helix)

How to play

When engaging an enemy you should use Hedronic Arc first, try to chip away at their health, you should have hedronic siphoning already (lvl1) active giving you some slight regen but if at this point you need more health, activate Pounce on the enemy to take advantage of the 30% lifesteal, I’d say activate it around 50-60% of your health. You should have the attack speed gear activated by around level 3 which is when you gain the life steal helix when attacking with melee hits. Don’t worry too much about the health regen gear until you’ve activated level 5 helix since that’s where the build starts to benefit you the most. Once you get Hedronic Regeneration (lvl5) helix unlocked; try to get your Hedronic Collector up to max. With good health regen gear you should get around 40hp/s regeneration which is really useful because people tend to target Attikus a lot since he’s so big and bulky not to mention you’ll undoubtably come across melee enemies. Try not to use the charge with your abilities unless you feel like you’re in a sticky situation, try to use his ult Hedronic Eruption whenever you have full charge, very useful for slowing them down and dealing range dps at the same time. If you get to say 800-1000 health then you use your pounce and Hedronic Arc to try to finish them off. At level 7 you’ll unlock the 20% attack speed which along with that gear will make a huge difference to both the dps and health regen. Attikus with this build can also basically mow down heavy minions with ease, especially useful for easy thrall kills. His right click or heavy attack is basically useful when you know your enemy is coming through a corner or you’re guarenteed enough time for a full charged attack with it but attack speed makes no difference to his heavy attack so the main focus is on landing them quick jabs.

Pros and Cons

Pros: Fast dps with left click. Lots of health regen. Can be used for more dps against minions.

Cons: Level 7 needed to achieve full benefit from build. Relies on lore legendary for slow. Risky playstyle.

Alternative build(?)

This is a full health regen buid with tradeoff of dps for more health regen and survivability. I thought I’d include this just for those people on the fence of trying out the main build. Switch out Swift Strikes for Unstoppable, use staggering pounce and use full health regen gear. Overall as long as Hedronic Collector is fully charged and with Hedronic Regeneration you’re looking at 50hp/s if not more. Amazing combo with a Miko, basically as unstoppable as a slightly less dps Rath.
