Battleborn Guide

Miko, the nearly invincible combat-medic for Battleborn

Miko, the nearly invincible combat-medic

Overview

This is my build for Miko, the really powerful healer who can also take care of himself, and can even 1v1 sometimes.

Introduction

Hi all! I’m still pretty new to battleborn and to miko also. But since i tried him, I fell in love. He’s such a good healer with so decent dps. My KDA with him is currently 40/21/95 in 10 matches, with 7 matches won and 3 lost. I know, that’s nothing but I build him in what I think is a pretty decent build so I just wanna share.

Please note that this build could change anytime. And it is not meant to be taken as the only way to play Miko. This is how I play it, but you should do as feels, as long as you do a good support job

Gameplay

In this section, I’ll try to tell you how I actually play Miko.

Combat Medic means Hybrid

While he is a really great healer, Miko also does a decent amount of damage. So you should not only heal your teammates. A good Miko is a Miko that knows when to heal, and when to attack. If you are in a teamfight, stay behind your tank and heal who needs it. But if no one is very low on health, it means you need to attack the enemy. There is no need to keep everyone at 100% life all the time, UNLESS you are not fighting, they got shield for a reasons. When it’s calm, it’s time to heal everyone as much as possible, so you are all ready for a future teamfight.

Together, we are stronger

ALWAYS stays with your teammates. You won’t survive very long alone. Since my build depends a lot on the fact that you heal yourself while biosynthesis is active, you won’t be able to heal youself if there is no one to heal with you.

Minions, moving healpacks

If for X reasons you are not near allies and you need healing ASAP, use the minions! You can heal them with your beam so they are a great way to get back in the fight or to survive when you biosynthesis.

NEVER ALONE

Understood? It’s either your allies, or the minions. You don’t want to be caught all alone with no means to survive.

Be aware of your allies health

Since there is no way to see your allies health on the minimap or on the HUD, always look around and check your friends health. You are a support after all and this should be your priority. Use the minimap to locate their direction, and check if they need healing. Always take a look at your minimap. It’s like any MOBA based game. Minimap is life.

Helix

Now, i’ll tell you which perks i take on the Helix. Please note that I’m currently lvl 6 with him so I only got 2 mutations as of now, so I don’t know if a certain mutation would be better than what i currently take.

So here goes:

Level 1: Breathe Deep

I take this instead of movement speed because the slow can really helps in assist and when you got to espace. Just throw a spore at your ennemis and there’s a good chance you will survive. It’s better than the movement speed imo because you don’t really need to go faster when healing if you play Miko passive-agressive.

Level 2: Heal Thyself

This is a no-brainer. While healing more than one person at a time could be useful in teamfights, I prefer to heal myself with biosynthesis. It will allow you to sustain much more damage. Don’t hesitate to cast your Q and heal anything (allys or minions) even if they don’t need it. You need it and thats enough. you’re a better Miko alive than dead.

Level 3: Evolutionary Emergence

Since you should use your Q to heal yourself when needs be, but also heal allies, you’ll need to cast q faster. It’s also useful for your E, so you can slow/stun more often.

Level 4: Sporeshock

This is also a no-brainer for me. Since I play miko passive-agressive, I often attack the ennemis when no one needs healing. You stun the enemy then shoots kunai at him. You will often deal a great amount of damage and if you don’t kill them, they’ll probably panic and retreat, which is as good as a death imo. And when you’re with your allies, it a near certain death for the enemy 😛 The stun is also really handy for escape. And I can also win 1v1 certains battleborn thanks to that stun. It really helps against those melee battleborn, and it’s a really good counter to Rath’s utl.

Level 5: Toxic Transfusion

More health is always good. Since I take Heal Thyself at level 2, If I’m not healing with biosynthesis, I’m attacking. And now with Toxic Transfusion, I’m regaining health.

Level 6: Probiotics

Nearly invincible Miko is nearly there. With this, your biosinthesis on yourself become so great, you can sustain a lot a damage.

Level 7: Bladeslinger

I’m an agressive Miko, so more attack speed means more damage to either kill or really help your teammates. And in the way I play Miko, I don’t really need to run far or for long.

Level 8: Residency

I can heal myself and greatly heal allies for longer, which helps survival a lot. But Biosynergy could probably be a good choice too, since Cooldown reduction is always good to cast that Q quickly. Go with your guts here.

Level 9: Resilient Strain

With the 100% slow at level 1, this make your slow even more powerfull. And if you miss the direct hit for the stun, the longer slow can really helps in escape or 1v1. It also good in teamfight.

Level 10: Vicious Strain

Since the heal of the fungus is already pretty damn good, it’s better to deal damage (which offer some kind of protection the the fungus) than heal more. And much of the time, I’ll stay near it and heal allies with my beam at the same time.

Gear Loadout

Okay, now for the loadout.

I didn’t really created a loadout for Miko. I did a loadout for Benedict, and decided to try it on miko.

While it works for now, I don’t know if those are the best option.

Shield

Since Miko is an Eldrid, he don’t have a shield so I gave him a gear that gives shield power, so he at least have a little bit of it.

Reload Speed

While it may not be the most usefull thing for Miko, reload speed is still viable. I mean, there is something for reload speed in his Helix so it technically works XD. It sure helps to do damage quicker, since Miko only holds six kunai and needs to reload frequently.

Attack Speed (+max health)

The last gear I gave Miko ( or should I say Benedict? XD) is some attack speed. It will help dealing more damage quicker to either help your allies or get a kill. (you deserve one from time to time, no?) The one I use also give more max health when you survive for 180 sec so i does come handy since you should be able to survive easily with all the auto-healing.

Current Stats with Miko

As a reference, I’ll tell you some stats I currently have with Miko.

I don’t even know if those are good or sucks like hell XD

I’ll try to update as I play
