Overview
This guide is designed to be a very quick look into the character and how to use them for people wishing to pick them up with no prior experience. I will go over their skills, their role in pvp matches specifically, and a build that can be used with no character ranks. These include video commentary and guides. Miko is a sterotypical support character that excels in keeping his teammates alive. In this guide, I will give you all the tools you need to jump in and be a kick ass medic with no prior experience, as well as give you a first hand look at how the character plays in pvp.

Basic Characteristics
Weapons:
Miko’s primary attack is to throw poisoned kunai which do damage on contact and leave a small damge over time. Because of the slow rate of fire and long projectile travel time, these are difficult weapons to use at any range other than point blank.
Miko’s right click is a healing beam that has no ammo cooldown, allowing you to continuously heal as long as you are close enough to your target. The range is very short, requiring you to be close to your target, and has a bad habit of swapping to another character such as minions so you need to keep an eye on who you are actually targeting. You cannot target yourself.
Skills:
Biosynthesis: This skill puts a 5 second heal over time on yourself that also boosts your healing beam. It can be used while holding down right click and is a very critical skill to the build. Use whenever you are under attack or whenever your healing target needs extra healing.
Cloud of Spores: Throws a spore bomb that does a moderate amount of damage in a small area and slows targets that stay in the area. The build uses a mutation that changes this to stun for 2 seconds if you can land a direct hit, which can be used to set up a target for an easy kill. The normal slow can also be used either as an escape or to catch fleeing enemies, or to push a lane by killing enemy minions.
Fungus Among Us: Miko’s ultimate puts down a healing turret that restores heal to anyone standing next to it. It lasts about 45 seconds but can be destroyed by enemies. Try to place this in a safe fallback point for your team to retreat to and heal up. Can also be thrown down in a last ditch attempt to heal yourself or a teammate if things look dire.
Character Role
As Miko, your primary job is going to be keeping your teammates, and yourself, alive primarily through your healing beam. That should always be your first priority as Miko lacks the offensive ability to really excel in any other area. That said, if your team is fully topped off and in a healthy position you are free to throw out some mushroom knives at enemy minions or players. You can use your spore cloud to push a lane up but you are usually better off saving it to secure a kill on a player or save yourself.
This build is centered around using biosynthesis to power up your right click so do not hesitate to use it at the slightest sign of trouble. Using your ultimate takes a little bit of pratice but with experience you will get a good feel for when and where you can throw down your big ole mushroom cap in an out of the way place to heal your friends.
Finally, if not most important: When healing teammates, be careful not to block them and cause them to take extra damage from things they could have just sidestepped.

Final Words
Thank you for taking the time to look at the guide, I hope it was helpful! If you want more details on this character or a demonstration of the build in action, consider watching the videos posted above. Miko plays very similar to the Medic from TF2 and I found him to be an excellent character for people first learning the game to jump into PVP and still be an effective team player.
