How to setup your Melodyne Essential account.
Overview
Melodyne Essential is part of Celemony’s one-track product family, and offers basic editing of pitch and timing with the same high sound quality as Celemony’s flagship version Melodyne Editor.
With Melodyne, you can:
- Correct off-key vocals and out-of-tune melodic instruments.
- Create harmonies.
- Fix timing errors in melodic and rhythmic material.
- Convert audio to MIDI. Double an audio track on a MIDI instrument. You can even use vocal or other audio source as a MIDI input device (sing/hum a melody, etc., and convert to MIDI). For details, see To convert audio to MIDI
The following guide will walk you through activating Melodyne and setting up a Celemony Profile.

SONAR Professional – Includes a Key for Melodyne Essential
SONAR Platinum – Includes a Key for Melodyne Essential
Finding your Product Key
- Go to Library and select “All Software”
- Click on the CD Key Link
- A dialog will display with all product codes in your steam account. Scroll and find “Celemony Melodyne Essential”
- Select the Key and press the “Copy Key To Clipboard” button
Running Melodyne for the First Time
- Select a clip in a project and press Ctrl+M or Click on The Region FX List and Select Melodyne
- If User Account Control Displays, Click [Yes]
- The Melodyne Licenser dialog will display. Click the “Enter Serial Number…” Button
- Paste your Product Key in the available field and click [Continue]
- You should see a green check mark that activation was successful
Registering Melodyne
- Click here to go to the Celemony Registration Page.[www.celemony.com]
- Enter your Product Key into the field next to “Your Serial Number” and click [Register].
- Fill out the profile page and click [Save] at the bottom.
- If you already have Melodyne installed you can log out on the next screen or download it again.
