Overview
This guide will help you deal with enemy vehicles in the game by giving you their strengths, weaknesses, and tactics on how to eliminate them.
Transport Truck
The Transport Truck is a 6 wheeled vehicle. It is unarmed so you dont have to worry much about it however is is usually carrying troops to combat you. The truck is unarmoured so small-arms fire can destroy it although it will take around 2 to 3 rmagazines to destroy using an AK-47. It is advised that you avoid using LAW’s or RPG’s on it as its threat isnt as high as an actual tank. The truck can also be destroyed using frag grenades (hand thrown or launched), only 1 or 2 is needed to destroy the vehicle.
BMP
A Infantry Fighting Vehicle, or IFV, the BMP is a dangerous but easily to take on vehicle. The BMP is lightly armoured but has enough said armour to shrug off small arms fire and grenades. To destroy the BMP you need only one shot from an Anti-Tank launcher from any side and range. Although it may sound like its an easy opponent you should not underestimate it as it is armed with either a 20mm Autocannon or a 76mm Cannon which will both easily kill you. The Autocannon version is poor at long rang due to terrible accuracy, the 76mm cannon version however is effective at all ranges and has an area of effect which can instantly down your squad in one shot if grouped up. The BMP can also transport small squad of infantry (2 to 4 soldiers) but it is advisable to consentrate on destroying the BMP first.
Shilka Anti-Air Tank
The Shilka, although designed to deal with airial threats, can still engage ground targets primarily lightly armoured vehicles and infantry. The Shilka has poor accuracy at range but its rate of fire is massive thus it can down you with ease if you get too close. As an Anti-Air vehicle, its armour is thin like the BMP so a single hit from an AT Launcher can knock it out.
T-62 Main Battle Tank
The T-62 is a heavily armed and armoured Main Battle Tank of the Iraqi Forces. Its main cannon will wipe you and your squad easily if bunched up to spreading out is a good tactic. The T-62 has a machine-gunner on the turret to deal with infantry threats but can be killed, using a sniper rifle is prefered. From the front and sides it takes 2 AT Rockets to destroy a T-62, however if hit from the rear, where its the least armoured, it can be destroyed in one hit. Though a risky move the tank can be snuck up and destroyed by the use of C4 that is if the top gunner is killed as he has excellent view to find targets.
T-72 Main Battle Tank
The toughest enemy vehicle in the game, the T-72 packs massive punch and is extremely well armoured. It’s similar to the T-62 minus the top machine gunner so its view is somewhat poor allowing you to sneak up on it. Usually the T-72 is moving about patrolling the area this is perfect use of the Anti-Tank Mine. Watch it go about its business and try to figure its movement pattern, once you got it nailed down move in quickly whilst its away and plant the AT Mine and run away to cover. After some time the tank will run over the mine be destroyed. Only 1 AT Mine is needed to destroy the T-72. Alternatively you can destroy it with AT Launchers however that will take far too long and waste precious ammo as it require a lot of said rocket launchers to destroy, simply stick with AT Mines or sneaking up on it and planting C4.
