Overview
After many years, Rockstar has not bothered to make an official port of the legendary game on the PC platform, so today we will launch it on your machines, achieve good performance when playing, make a beautiful launch through Steam itself (so that you can share screenshots with friends and communicate). Let’s start enjoying this game without too much headache!
Information
Ever wanted to play this game on PC? Did the greedy Rockstar never give you this opportunity? Did you try it, but it turned out to be too difficult? So let’s launch this forgotten game!
By following all the steps in this guide, you are violating the Rockstar End User license agreement, and if you contact their support team, they may opt out due to a violation of the license agreement. Under the GNU GPL license (s), as the author of this manual, I have the right to non-commercial distribution and modification, subject to making any changes to the original source. This also applies to the images of the game itself! Of course, they were taken directly from my console! I honestly believe that this guide follows these conditions. I am not the author of this emulator, and so any error/crash/errors should be directed to the developers themselves.

Description:
This package includes the Emulator, BIOS, the game, and the GUI for Steam. Unpack it wherever you want, for example, for our convenience, I suggest unpacking it in the Steam game library:
The game is launched via the emulator!
To do this, open “psx2.exe”.
- Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Full Package[drive.google.com]
- DirectX End-User Runtimes[drive.google.com]
Description:
If you have problems running the emulator, try installing these libraries.
- PSX2[pcsx2.net]
- GUI for Steam (compiled and adapted independently)
- BIOS (of course, it was compiled from its own consoles)
- Game image (similar to the BIOS. For the Russian adaptation, I express my gratitude to N69)
FAQ
Faced with a certain problem, or just want to know as much information as possible before starting the game? Answers to frequently asked questions are published below:
- The game works exclusively in 30 FPS, do not even try to artificially raise the frame rate, it will only add you a bunch of bugs and headaches.
- If your image is large-format, then turn on the corresponding mode in the game. Also, here you can disable the Trails effect, as shown in the screenshot:
- You can disable the inversion of the right stick in the control settings in the game itself.
- Creating a beautiful label with covers on Steam:
- Steam>Add a Non-Steam Game…>Specify the path to our pcsx2.exe, rename shortcut and add it to the library.
- Open the “GUI for Steam” folder and apply your cover, background, logo and the icon. It should turn out something like in the screenshots:
- If you want to change the screen resolution, you can do it in the following way:
Config>Emulation Settings>GS Window
- If you are experiencing performance issues, you can lower the “Internal Resolution”:
Config>Video (GS)>Plugin Settings
- You can change the control of the gamepad, or add a keyboard in the emulator settings:
Config>Controllers (PAD)>Plugun settings…
If you still have other questions, you can ask them in the commentaries, as well as do not forget to share the bugs found, your suggestions.
