Elite Troops Doctrine Guide

Overview

So commander you have come to get better at playing Elite Troops of German faction.Let me say this first this is not an easy doctrine to play but if you manage to play it well you’ll be unstoppable.Mainly because i play 1v1s this guide is all about 1v1s.

Doctrine Arsenal

Troop Training – 0CP

For 80mp and 25 fuel + with it’s 30 sec cooldown this ability right here is what this doctrine is all about.Make your grenadiers vet 3 automatically and upgrade them with MG42 which i recommend you to but if it’s a CCQ map like “Ettelbruck Station” G43 is the obvious choice.And you can vet up your allies stuff as well this ability works very well on team games.

Model 24 Stun Grenades – 1CP

As the name says with 0.5 fuse time currently it will stun the enemy which means they can’t retreat,shoot,throw grenades and so on.. I find this grenade.. useful but i wouldn’t mind if there was anything other than this.

Panzer Tactician – 2CP

Of course Relic can’t make a OST doctrine without Panzer Tactician, it will pop smoke around any vehicle for the cost of 30 munitions,simple but effective and annoying.

Jaeger Light Infantry Upgrade – 3CP

At the cost of 45 munitions you’ll get 2 G43s on Grenadiers and Panzergrenadiers.DON’T GET THIS ON PGs, because they are close-combat units,it is insane what vet 3 grenadiers with G43s are capable of, they are the greatest anti-infantry for your army.And what everyone forgets about this is that you can interrogate crawling soldiers for mini map recon.Tanks,infantry,emplacements you name it everything that the enemy has you can see it on your mini map for 3-5 seconds.

Tiger Ace – 17CP

Your last defense,your game changer, your end game unit, your finisher, your last hope to win.The Tiger Ace is unique to only this doctrine and comes at 17CP and there is a reason why that’s there, i mean we all know the power of a Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger but how about a instant vet 3 one, it was better than vet 3 Tiger back then, not now sadly.Since it reduces your MP and Fuel income by 25% and 90%, you better set your army up for this unit, 2-3 Vet 3 Grenadiers with G43s or LMG42, 1-2 Vet 3 PGs and 1-2 Panthers should be good enough and have 50-100 fuel and 200-400 MP left for any kind of reinforcements and vetting them up, if you set this up right it’s pretty much GG at that point, there is nothing that can stop you.

Counters to Specific Strategies

USF Riflemen Spam

As we all know because of the new recent 2 WFA commanders USF one is better than OKW one and people tend to play Heavy Cavalry or Rifle Company which makes them to get 3-4 riflemen at the beginning, to counter this you have to play defensively and not be agressive,not until you have the hard counter for it. Your best bet is Sniper and 222.And your elite infantry to hold the line until they arrive.

For the M20 rush, teller mines are your best bet because it one shots them,planting them on strategic roads and crossroads will give you the upperhand.

Losing Early Game

Most player think that early game is the deciding phase of the game, well it’s kinda true but not entirely, if the early game is lost, DO NOT PANIC that’s the first thing you should do, when you panic you can’t micro and pay attention to 1 side and lost every other engagement.

FOCUS! Believe that you can win this game, and think what the enemy has and showed you and from that it’s just basic stuff, it’s all about showing what you have at the right time like poker.
