Standard build order for Wehrmacht Ostheer in 4v4. Beginner to intermediate guide. According to meta as of June 2021

4v4 ostheer build order

you got 1 free pioneer *
-1x mg42
+build infantrie kompanie
-3x grenadier *

+bp1
-medic bunker in base (optional) *
+licht mechanized kompanie
-1x 222 scout car (usually 5mins30secs)
-1x 251 half track *
-1x pak40(the only 60 range unit in this faction lol)
-1x grw34 mortar crew (situational)
-mg bunker (situational)
-1x fuel or muni cache

+bp2
+support armor korps
-1x panzer iv (up mg42 since pz iv dont have scatter vet)
(*)
-1x ostwind (or another 222 as substitute aa unit)

+bp3
+heavy armor korps
(after this it is based on the player instinct, you may build another pz iv if you see fit, a panther for dedicated tank duel or brummbar if the enemy using 2 fingers to blob infantry)

Important notes

+ Dont stall for Panther. Unlike OKW, you got your first tank earlier at 15mins mark
+ Up flamer on pioneer as soon as possible, with it they vet faster, vet2 pio fix tank faster. If you lost your vetted combat pioneer then replace them with minesweeper pio, they can fix tank decent and pick up anti tank weaponry with them since you dont expect firepower from them anyways.
+ Lmg42 upgrade or riflenade usage is determined. lmg42 recommend against usf, riflenade against other.
+ If you had 251 halftrack you can skip medic bunker in your base, use 10 muni medkit on pak40 at gun. 251 halftrack perform better than command bunker in this mortar galore meta.
+ Place at least 1 teller mines in YOUR territory at 6~8mins mark to deter light tanks flank, you can lure greedy tank into it with your 222car.
+ Usually you had a lot of spare mp after building your 1st tank, approx 15 mins mark.
+I cannot stress enough the importance of sdkfz 251 in 4v4, it decrease the time you need to retreat your squad, also Ostheer is the only faction without a forward retreat point even counting commander and 251 provide your mortar a fighting chance against mortar pit masturbation or 6 man soviet mortar.
+Basically 251 help you establish a frontline to hold, basically what this methodical faction suppose to do. Weird design innit? Mid war german faction is defensive while late war counterpart is offensive.
+It is impossible to replace your Pak40 unless you had Elefant commander. Pak40 is the only anti tank unit for this faction that had 60 range. Stug G only had 50 range, even the cheaper su76 outrange it, allied tank destroyer spam is a norm in 4v4 so dont build stug.
