FINAL FANTASY XV WINDOWS EDITION Guide

Costlemark's Cube Maze for FINAL FANTASY XV WINDOWS EDITION

Costlemark’s Cube Maze

Overview

The Costlemark maze may look very complex and confusing on your first trip but it’s quite straight forward in real – though a kinda brilliant design!

The Entrance Hall

It contains an exit, 2 return points and 4 entries to the actual maze. Initially only one entry will be active but each time you return from the maze an additional one will become interactable.

Search the floor for distinctive looking tiles with an interaction marker.

NW, NE, SE, SW: Maze entry points
X, Y: Return points

The Maze

Inside its corridors are cubes which move around when interacted with. They open up new parts of the maze and block the ones behind you so it’s a oneway. Don’t get tricked by the 3D layout and movements, from a top down perspective the available paths follow straight patterns.

If a cube becomes inactive search for new ones. Most of the time there’s only one active but sometimes two and you have to chose – better look twice. In addition enemies will spawn and you have to fight them in these quite limited spaces.

Your goal is the southeast tile marked with !!

Green path: Awesome
Yellow path: Do it again
Red path: Boom dead

The Arena

All red paths end up here where you have to fight a red giant and a nagarani accompanied by an army of flans at the same time just to be able to return to the entrance for your next try.

Another red giant will be added to the party each time you enter this place up to a total of 3.
Good luck!

The Exit

It’s placed on the return path to the entrance hall and will be activated on your first comeback from the other areas.

Beware not to accidentally run over it or you have to wander all the way back down again!
You’ve been warned 😛

Worth to mention

  • The sequenze in which the maze entry points become interactable seems to be NE, SE, NW and SW. Therefor you have to enter the arena at least once since the NE entry has no green and the SE one a red path only .
  • The positions of the cubes reset each time you come back to the entrance hall
  • From the entrance hall you can leave the dungeon and save the game without losing any progress
  • Couldn’t find a single pick-up in these areas
  • The Ring of the Lucii is a great thing to have in here
  • There’s a path to the locked endgame dungeon inside the arena
