Automation – The Car Company Tycoon Game Guide

Using and Abusing Fixtures for Automation - The Car Company Tycoon Game

Using and Abusing Fixtures

Overview

Does your car look TOO good? yes, yes it does and this is the guide to fix this issue.

Introduction

aahhh automations fixures, possibly the most time consuming tab in the game. The funny thing is that once you spend enough time on the tab you realise how hard car designer’s work to not make the next pontac aztek. This guide is for you who understand the basic elements of the car designer, as well as how to make a car look good. You dont want that though, you want your car to be a modern art piece, something your kids could look at in the future and question if the atmosphere was entirely made of LSD back then. Thats who this guide is aimed for, that and catologing the glitches.

Part One: Da Good Pieces

You may ask your self, “why, dear god why” durring the following.

The first thing to choose is boby type. for this deminstration I would rememend a Pickup Truck of any time period, as they are the most explotable and unstable in the game.

Now lets look at what to abuse. starting from the top right we have any grills:
Next we have mirrors:
Small Bumper Pieces:
Regular Bumper Pieces:
Exhuasts:
Lastly, most (if not all) decorations:

You can usualy do this with any thing. but there is some chriteria for what to use.
– Is infanatly expandable. (most parts are)
– Can clip though windows. (most cant)
– Doesnt shape to fit the car body. (thats the main issue with grills and larger bumper pieces)
– Looks cool.

Part Two: How to Use Your Abuse

What is all of this for? pure suffering? maybe, But you do have some ways to use these powers for good. Just like in collage, id recemend exparamenting a little bit. See what you can get away with. For now, here are my recemended uses:

Method: Wheel Covering
How: First, id recemend you use a boxy or square like body, this will make the following look better. Under the Misc. Features section, right beside the spare wheel, with a bad preview picture, is the mud flaps. These can be used to cover wheels if place inside the wheel well (the gap between the cars outer shell and chassis.)
Why: This game only allows you to use these sorts of covers on spesific cars. With this, you can let your crativity flow.
HOT TIP: You can make these the same colour as you body using the materials tab.

Method: Building a GUN TURRET
How: This goes in four steps.
Step one: grab a spare tire and smack it on the roof.
Step two: grab a single, un-guarded exhuast pipe. click rotate (in either direction) twice.
Step three: move the exhaust Pipe to hovering just above the windshield and grow untill the back of it fuzes with your spare tire
Step four: give you gun turret a nicer look by placing a bumper under it, and akwardly streching it to a square shape.
Why: GUNS ARE FUNS
HOT TIP: The exhaust when scaled up will allways go up.

Method: Bed Covers for Pick-Ups
How: Use Mud flaps to cover the exposed bed of the truck by placeing them right on the edge so they can be flat
Why: Style.
HOT TIP: This can be quite hard to do, even with multiple mud flaps. As you see below, my example is god awful. Also, use the 90 Degree rotation tools, they behave wierd with mud flaps.

Method: Finaly kiling the game
How: find the bumper rectangle. Its under a secontion that has a crome bar being surrounded on all sides by a red trim. Put it in the back and grow it to an extreme degree.
Why: Because you have no god.
HOT TIP: Dont do this.

Please exparement with using the materials listed in the previous chapter to find your own road to car decoration heaven/hell, I might add them to the list.

Thanks and Change Log

Thanks for reading this rambleing ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I just wanted to get it off my chest. Also I notice there was a lack of guides and that almost all of them where out of date and/or dumb “R69 Engine Recraton” guides, Please help make guides, they help keep the game alive for newbies and are great for learning new ways to enjoy the game. Thanks for reading this far, your reward is a nice picture I took, it uses one of the methods I outlined.
