DiRT Rally
DiRT Rally is a brand new game by Codemasters. It is a simulation game, meaning it appeals to the racing fans even more!
Career Mode
Career Mode is all about rallying to the limits and upgrading your team. Career starts off with the 1960’s cars, and goes all the way up to 2010’s, having to buy it all with the credits (cr) you earn in-game.
When you open the career mode menu, you will see four more menus pop up.

Championship Mode
Rally your way through stages to earn credits. With these credits you can upgrade your car, and team. As you progress you will get promoted to higher level championships, with harder drivers.
Custom Championship
You can choose from Rally, Hillclimb or Rallycross and create your own championship. You can customize the number of events, stages and the AI Difficulty. It also shows you your Rewards, which can multiply the harder you make it.
Team Management
After you have done some rallies and earnt some credits you can upgrade your engineers, and also buy new ones. You can buy perks (20,000 cr) for your engineers. This allows them to repair your car faster between stages.
Garage
In the garage menu you can see all the cars you own. You can view the upgrades on your cars, and change the liveries you rally in. You can also buy new cars. (any car, they are all unlocked, you just need the credits). To help you make the decision quicker their are stats below each car;

PvP Events
In PvP Events you can race against other people from around the world. As this is in the Career Mode screen you have to buy the Rallycross cars. All the cars cost 350,000cr, but if you can’t afford to buy them you can rent them for 1,500cr per race. When you open the PvP Events menu you can choose from;

In custom event you can choose your stage, and car and drive as fast as you can.

After you have chosen the details of the rally you can then choose the stage(s) and conditions. On the left of the stage selection it shows infomation about the stage you will be driving on. For example, a Greece stage might be 30% Medium Gravel, 45% Heavy Gravel and 25% Light Gravel, 172m Altitude Difference and a track length of 5,300m.

There are 5 locations to choose from.
Greece, Argolis
Sweeping dusty gravel stages that take their toll on even the strongest rally cars in the intense heat of the Mediterranean in the bright daylight or at night.
Wales, Powys
Muddy, wet gravel stages and forest runs often in the rain during the day and at night.
Monaco, Monte Carlo
Tight, twisting, dangerous roads covered with snow and ice that wind through the Alps. Snow and mist affect visibility during the day and at night.
Germany, Baumholder
The ‘tarmac terrors’ update brings Germany into the mix. With flat straights, tight hairpins and blind crests, Baumholder is not for the faint hearted.
Finland, Jämsä
Huge crests, huge jumps, huge lakes, huge forests, huge crashes. That is Rally Finland.
Värmland, Sweden
Snow and ice, with blind corners. Sounds fun? Well maybe… Sweden is not for novice rally drivers, it is the most demanding and challenging of them all.

The modern Pikes Peak stage.

The good old classic, mixed surface, pikes peak is also in the game.

The well know English rallycross track is used from low level amateurs, to the Global Rallycross championship.

You could call it the home of Rallycross. It’s Sweden.

In Rallycross, there are three types of races.
Heats

You can adjust the race structure in the menu before you race. You can choose:

Co-Driver Calls
DiRT Rally uses the 1-6 system, in this system 1 is a slow corner and 6 is fast one.
Linking all of the corners together are distances. “Into” and “And” are very small distances between corners. They then use even numbers up to 100 metres and odd numbers once it goes over the 100 metre mark.
