Overview
This is simply an update to the Guide for Governments that is already posted. Since that guide was posted, a number of changes have been made to the effects and attributes of the varying forms of government in Galactic Civ. 3. I am simply posting this “guide” (really just a spreadsheet) as an update and to serve as a reference for gamers and modders. These stats are correct and up to date, as of 8/10/19, and the release of version 3.8.
The Info
The spreadsheet lays out all of the official (vanilla) governments by name, and provides the following information.
Colony Limit
Elections: Whether the government holds elections or not
Missions: Whether or not the government allows the player to send out missions from the shipyard
Market Access: Whether or not the government allows resources to be bought and sold on the Galactic Market
Special Ship(s) provided: How many, if any, special ships the government provides, and their bonuses.
Prerequisites: Any requirements, such as racial traits, ideology, or researched tech, necessary before switching to a government.
Faction-wide Bonuses/Effects: I highlighted the positive effects in Green, and the harmful effects in Red.
