[Outdated] [EN] YouTube videos in Audioshield

Overview

Download and play videos in Audioshield.

Reqiuirements

– YouTube-DLG[github.com]
– Audioshield
– Enough disk space
– Administrator rights, if you want to use the installable version.

Download (software and video)

1. Go to YouTube-DLG on git-hub[github.com] or copy this link: [link] Scroll down and download the windows installer or portable version.

2. Open youtubedlg-0.4.exe inside the ZIP archive to install.
You can also create a desktop shortcut.
If you choose the portable version, the ZIP archive must simply be unzipped and all data of the program can be found in the destination folder

3. Open YouTube-dlg.
Now go to YouTube and copy the video URL of a video.

4.Insert the link into the top panel of YouTube DLG.
The folder icon can be used to specify a destination folder.
Right next to it you can choose the file format like MP3 or MP4.
Click “Add” to put the video in the download queue

5. Once all desired videos are in the queue, the download can be started with a click on the cloud.

6. In AudioSchield, go to the file path set in YouTube dlg and play the downloaded songs.

Downloading songs is also possible ingame via Steam Overlay or Oculus Home (Oculus Beta must be activated) by simply showing the desktop.
