This guide explains how to permanently remove the Chat from Settlers Online.
Hide Online Status
This green light which stands for be online, not show up anymore even though you’re online.
Step-by-Step Guide
ℹ This method is for Windows Operating System.
1) Navigate to this path:
2) Remove Write Protection or Take Ownership of the host file
3) Right-click the host file, open it in Notepad and add this value:
4) Save the file

If you do all correctly Chat should look like this now:
Explaination
When you open CMD and run this command here:
Then you will get the IP adress from Settlers Online.
If you first add the IP adress and then the DNS from the Chat you can block it.
By this CMD command can you find the DNS:
185.38.20.21 is the IP address from Settlers Online
w07chat01.diesiedleronline.de is the DNS from the Chat
185.38.20.21 21.20.38.185.in-addr.arpa
185.38.20.21 1.0.0.127.in-addr.arpa
This value was somehow relevant for the “Chat DNS”
I figured out that the Chat appears after a while again, and by add this extra strings it prevents.
