The AI Of Red Faction is advanced in alot of ways, especially the ways that make the game interesting. This guide will tell us all on how the AI Really pushes the pressure onto the protagonist
Introduction
So the AI In this game is really entertaining to study their patterns and tactics to their advantage to push on the Faction and the Marauders. In the guide, I will explain on how the AI Can use their abilities to the limits for success.
Weapon and Type
EDF are really interesting in the AI they use. The weapons they use also depend on the AI that controls the Unit.
Anything thats not a special weapon like above, the EDF will try and run a corner towards you and pop a bunch of caps into you, so try to aim out and pop the caps in them!
Explosives
As we all know, explosives are the key object in the game, used by the player for destruction and offensive playstyles aswell.
Singularity Bomb
Used by the Elites (White Armour), More so that the radar will even alert you when the Singularity has placed, this tactic is used when a Orange/Red Alert is in action, and happens more so on Red.
The AI will run from these devices as they are highly destructive to them and the user.
(Note: A RARE Chance when attacked and launched by a singularity causes the player to lose health mid-flight rapidly, causing a odd death thats unavoidable).
Vehicular
The EDF Are way more smarter in the vehicles they have access to their disposal to demolish Alec and his allies.
Turrted Scout Vehicles
Aka, the two seater vehicle, this vehicle is a popular resort to their disposal, the APC turreted has the same guns. They are suprisingly smart with these vehicles as they are stationary, if the player takes cover in the open, the Unit will aim at the last known location of Alec, waiting for him to come out.
Fighter Jets
These guys are a pain in the backside when you dont have the right equipment, but can do some smart tricks. Trying to fly up to it has the jet hfly up a bit so the user has a harder time to take this nuicance down, but the catch-side is the AI has a limit to fly up, as the jet can’t go too far from mars.
Tanks
Tanks use the Driving & Shooting AI Applied to the Jets aswell, if the user takes cover, the tank will either fire at the wall if they were going to fire at the player when they were in the open, or drive around the wall and fire at the player instead.
Stealth
Stealth, a not-so-important thing in the game, has a controlled Artificial Intelligence which causes the EDF to have some odd reactions to anything they find suspicious.
For Example, Fire a gun then switch to cover (Dosen’t matter if you hit them or miss) they will stare at the location for a few seconds, before waling towards it. Once they see you, you are going to be blasted right away.
A Cool factor for stealth is that destruction (when it gives you a yellow alert) stealth aids for this, they won’t notice you until they spot you, then they attack, the music will stay as the ambient version until they spot you, then it will change to the combat theme.
Or, Just Farcry Sneak around the whole area and hit ’em with a sledgehammer, obviously, this would be smart, and you are now Ahay Ghale on mars…
