Overview
This guide will explain how the weapons of metro last light work,what weapons you should buy,upgrade or sell.
The Submachine Gun
Now this thing is the first gun you will get in the game.”Submachinegun, 5.45 caliber-It’s got poor accuracy and overheats like hell-That’s why they call it a “Steam censored the name gun”.
Its actually not bad if you use short controlled bursts with it,if you choose to upgrade this gun,get a silencer,you will only need that.Scopes are not of great help on this anyways.It is great for a starter gun,works just like the metro 2033 one.
The Revolver
It’s what it name says,its a revolver,great in combat actually,deals good damage and is lethal at close to medium range without any attachments.I recommend getting the Stock + Forend mod,and possibly a suppressor if you are playing in survival,if playing on spartan,get the Extended Barrel.Again,works just like the Metro 2033 one.
The Kalash/Kalash 2012/AKS-74U
Now this is what I call a weapon.The kalash is a reliable gun in this game,both good at medium to long range shooting and decent when spraying it at close range.Get a suppressor on this,no need for fancy sights,the stock one is just good.Now let’s talk about the kalash 2012.
This thing is awesome.It just is.It has high damage,high firerate and is very accurate.
Get a suppressor and a reflex sight on this one.It will be worth it.As far as the 74U goes,it’s basically a rapid fire kalash.Get a suppressor on it,since sights are not needed on a close range weapon.
Hellbreath
This is a high damage,high accuracy but low firing weapon.It is very rare to come upon one of these.
Tihar
This weapon is supposed to be used silently,since it doesnt make any noise when shot.But you have to pump it for better damage.
If you like pneumatic weapons,then by all means use this.I’d sell it,but if you want a cheap to use and silent weapon,then yes this weapon is actually very decent.
VSV
Fully automatic silenced sniper.High damage,recommend getting NV scope for it.It’s basically a Kalash that is silenced and is a sniper.It is good anyways.This can only be found on the Depot level.
Duplet
Double barrel shotgun.Works well against nosalises.Its an ok starter weapon.Recommend getting the Quad-barrels attachment,it looks badass and you can shoot 4 shells.
Shambler
This is the go-to shotgun,it can hold 6 shells and is semi-automatic.It’s highly effective against nosalises and watchmen.It works really well in the claustrophobic tunnels of the metro.
Lolife
This is a good pistol.It shoots revolver ammo,it does medium damage,its accurate but has a low rate of fire.But,that can be fixed.There is an upgrade which gives you the option to make it auto,it’s called Full Auto adapter.
RPK-74
The bigger cousin of the kalash,your enemies will piss themselves when they see this high damage high accuracy weapon.But it has a medium fire rate.
Preved
You want to see your enemies dead?
No problem,this gun has the damage of a truck,it’s as accurate as measuring sugar for kompot but it’s as slow as lada going uphill with no tires.
Valve
Imagine a preved,but the damage is not like a truck,it’s more like babushka’s rolling pin,but as we all know,babushka is very accurate but she hits slowly.
Helsing
Pump it LOUDER!Pump it LOUDER!
Pneumatic weapon.Silent.Deadly.It’s decent but not the best weapon in game.I’d sell it and get something better.
Gatling
I am heavy weapons guy.This gun can only be used in the last moments of the game.
