Hidden Messages?
As part of the gameplay, you gather audio recordings from one of three sources:
- black clouds that need to be dispelled with your gun
- black “boss” that spawns after all the black clouds are gone
- seance that happens after the boss is gone
All three of these can be found with the in-game microphone and every single audio recording is required to progress through the game.
The hidden messages are found within these audio recordings by listening to them with your tape player. Each can be played in six ways: backwards (slow/normal/fast) and forwards (slow/normal/fast).
There are a total of 116 hidden messages within these audio recordings, and I found it quite tedious to find them all so hopefully this guide makes it easier.
The hidden messages themselves are required for the six “analyzer” achievements and finding them also reveals the location of piano sheet shreds – which are required six more achievements.
