Some tips how you spend and Loot orens.
Brawl, Arm wrestling / fight at inns
✦ Brawling and doing Arm Wrestling is the easiest way to get orens. If you know how you play it, then go for it. And dont forget to bet with a high price. If you get worried, you can bet on a small price. just repeat it again and again. example if you won x10 and bet 35 = you get 350 orens. This will take much of time so do it moderately.
♦ Here’s another way:
– Once you defeated champion Bart Bargee and Adam Pangratt in Chapter 1&2 you can wrestle them again as many time as you want. that’s 200 orens every 20 seconds. So dont forget to save your game before each match and reload if you lose, it will take a lot time.
– Do the Quests, it called Bring it on: floatsam and Vergen
– Here’s how you do it:
An optional first step to start this quest is to defeat Zoltan in arm wrestling. Geralt must challenge and beat three arm wrestlers in the upper level (the table beside the door to the docks) of Flotsam inn: Skinny Sten, Wiry Wilks, and Big Max. Big Max will then mention Bartholomew Bargee in Lobinden. Bargee is usually by the water working on the boats. Bartholomew is the strongest arm wrestler of this Chapter, significantly harder to beat than the three men at the inn.
After Bartholomew Bargee has been defeated, he mentions the next wrestler to Geralt: Adam Pangratt, in the Kaedweni camp. Then Zoltan also tells Geralt about his friends, Yarpen Zigrin and Sheldon Skaggs, in Vergen.
– I do not recommend playing dice poker, because this game spends a lot of orens. And i can’t play this game perfectly. Use this method if you can.
Trading / Selling items and Looting
✪ Trading is the another way to earn more orens. By using this method you can earn more orens fast and simple, without wasting much time.
♧ What item’s can you sell, to get fast orens:
– You can sell item’s that you do not use. Muchlike: weapons, armor, junk, traps, etc.
– Thankfully the townpeople are pretty oblivious not like skyrim :v. You can take important item’s from their house and sell it. in Vergen (Chapter 2) is a great place to pick up stacks of weapon then walk across the road and sell them to one of same townspeople.
Another Method/ Tips
★These are another way to get fast orens.
– Chapter 1, killing all the Scoiatel and looting their ‘Blue Mountain’ swords (11g each),
– Chapter 2, the Kaedweni soldiers you see setting up ambushes and such (or more Scoiatel if you sided with Henselt) each sell for 8-11g. Add that with the armour you sell off after replacing, the potions you sell off and the monster parts (as well as quest rewards, of course), you can usually hit Chapter 2 with 3-5k gold depending on how much you buy as you go along.
-Be careful in spending money, dont buy item’s that catch your eyes. Be frugal !
– Do not buy items in mysterious merchant, it may looks awesome. but it’s not cheap. I recommend crafting using diagrams/ Looting at many places, chests, etc.
– Set your goal : There’s an Achievement called “Miser”. To get that you need to get 10000 orens.
