How to mod Super Laser Racer

Overview

I know people have not modded SLR yet due to how underrated it truly is but I will teach you how to mod it! i’ll show you all steps on how to mod this game solet’s get it started! 🙂

Step 1. finding the files quickly

i’ll show you how to find the files it’s pretty easy!!

first right click on SLR

then click on properties

Step 2: what do you click on next?

next you click on local files
then click on browse local files then it should take you to file explorer with the SLR URL

Step 3: file explorer

next you’ll be taken to file explorer

you can either click on media or skins i choose media for myself

i chose media in that folder there’s achievements, cars, interface, nations, sounds, tiles, and weapons

i just placed cars_normal if i want the original ship sprites you can do that too if you want to!

i chose cars for example

Step 4: .PNG files and sound files

i chose cars
in those folders are .PNG files for the sprites and .OGG files for the sounds

here’s the cars folder it contains the ship sprites

i edited those sprites for making super laser racer 2

you can edit those .PNG files with drawing programs like photoshop, ms paint, gimp and more!
i chose ms paint for myself

in the media folder there’s a folder called sounds and that folder contains all the sounds from SLR except the music, here’s what that folder contains
you can change the sounds by replacing them with sounds from websites or your games
i used the wipeout 2097 sounds because SLR is just like wipeout but in 2D

Step 5 FINALE!: open up SLR

open up SLR then your sprites/sounds should be changed in the game
