How launch this game on Windows 10

Overview

This guide helps you to launch Aura on Windows 10 (and, possible, on Windows 7 and 8). Also you can playing in windowed mode. If you want to save screenshots to the Steam – check my other guide.If you found mistakes on my English – please, write me.

Compatibility with DirectX 8.1

1. Open “Programs and Components“
   
2. Click “Enable or disable components of Windows” on the left side
3. Search “Legacy components” and select “DirectPlay“
4. Wait installation
5. Go to the game folder, found Aura1.exe file and set compatibility with Windows XP SP3.

7. … PROFIT! Now you can launch this game – go to the options and change screen resolution and other settings.

Launch on Windowed mode

1. Download and install (copy to some place) DxWnd – [link]
2. Creafe shortcut for dxwnd.exe on autoloader folder. After launching just select “File/Move to Tray” for hidding it, but before:
3. Select “Edit/Add“, find Aura1.exe and setup it on Path and Launch fields
4. Toggle “Run in Window“, “Keep aspect ratio“, “Desctop center“
5. Select your best resolution (for example – if you have 4k monitor – select 1600×1200) and set fields X=0, Y=0, W=1600, H=1200
6. Save settings and NOT CLOSE DxWnd
7. …
8. PROFIT! Now, just launch game from Steam.
