The Different Types of Ships

Overview

Hey, Im SchericT and I love this game and have logged over 10 hours in 3 days. I’ve never created a guide before so I thought I’d give it a go. I’ll be talking about a few basic ship “classes” I’ve seen/made. I’ll hopefully add more to this guide later on but if I don’t, meh. Anyways lets cut to the chase. The Drone A drone is a basic, small, light, fast ship that can be produced en mass. It can outmanuver fighters and crusiers and can be pretty deadly if a swam of 20 or so attack although they dont even need any weapons. These usually run on batteries or 1×1 reactors so a support ship is a good thing to have. Costs around $70-$110. The Fighter Probably the main bulk of a fleet, a good fighter is a bit tougher than a drone. While it may not be as fast it makes up it in HP and in damage. A typical fighter will have 1-2 turrets on it. It will be realativly moble and a group of 8 or so should be able to take care of a crusier or support ship. The fighter ranges from around $115-240$. The Cruiser This is a ship that is midrange costwise. A small group is normally able to take out a fair amount of fighters and drones. They are pretty much the middle of the field in cost, speed, HP, and damage. Usually around $600 The Support Ship The support ship is the one that has relativly low damage or no weapons at all.Theyhav average manuverability. These ships are specialized to offer energy or sheilding to the main bulk of your fleet by use of power or shield generators. Their cost ranges from $200-700$ The Battleship This will probably be the most powerful ship in the fleet as well as the largest. These are the ships that “get it done”. They trade off speed and mobility for firepower and HP. They’ll usually have multiple weapon types, such as long range, short range and defensive turrets to destroy missles and torpedos. Some will be shielded and will usually be accompanied by one or two support ships. They rang from $700-$1000. My fleet configuration and Starting Game For my fleet I have a basic drone, two varients of fighters (close and long ranged), a support ship with a powergenerator. Lastly I have two different battleship designs, both with shielding. At the beginning of a game a immediatly send out two battleships and a support ship to a good defensive position. I like to play more defensive at first and gradually build up my fleet with about 4 battleships, 6 support ships, and 20 or so fighters with an even mix of close and long range. I’ll place my battleships in a foreward line with the unsheilded fighters in a line behind them, utulizing the shields. Behind these are my support ships. I’ll usually advance my fleet is squadrons, battleships first, fighters second, and supports third. Please note that I am in no way trying to control how you play or construct your ships, just stating a gameplay style that I’ve gotten good at and sorting the ships that I see in to simpler catagories. Feel free to add any new ship classes in the comments and give suggestions. Thanks for Reading!
