An easy way to fix the “Failed to find Steam” error on Hitman 2: Silent Assassin
Copy the needed file from the Steam launcher files
• Go into where your Steam launcher is installed, for me it’s :
C: > Programms (x86) > Steam
In this folder, there’s a file named “Steam.dll“, copy it
Paste the file in the main game folder
• Again, go where your Steam launcher is, for me it’s:
C: > Programms (x86) > Steam
• This time, go into the “steamapps” folder, then “common” and search for the “Hitman 2 Silent Assassin” folder
Here’s the complete path : C: > Programms (x86) > Steam > steamapps > common > Hitman 2 Silent Assassin
• Now that you are in the main game folder, just paste the file you’ve copied into the folder, launch the game, and your done !
Note
Pay attention to what files you’re missing with when you’re in the Steam folder, and make sure you’re COPYING the Steam.dll file and not moving it permanently from the Steam folder
Direct 3D Error ?
