Overview
I’m not sure how many people need a guide for this game but I figured I might as well create one since it’s a simple game and there’s not too much to say. This is a simple starter guide for a game whose map and weapon are randomly generated. I can’t really go through specifics but I can provide and outline of my experience and tips.
Basics
Always equip your best guns, as those don’t disappear when you die, and use portals often to either sell or fill up your safe. When you need to buy, sell stuff from your safe until you can afford it to minimize money loss from death.
Personally I’d recommend getting extra jumps to position yourself correctly to shoot or get loot. Also note that jumping stops the current fall damage, so extra jumps are useful there.
Don’t grab all the gems, as you might not be able to carry them. Always sell ore as it usually is less expensive than guns, in terms of keeping “money” in the safe.
Survival Tips
Survival is the name of the game. Should you die you lose 5% of your money but the more annoying part is going back to the place to pick up your loot. In addition, from my experience only 20 items out of the max 100 items you can carry will be there. With that in mind, it’s best to travel light with little money (see money section).
It terms of order of things to buy, it’s best to get health first as dying often impedes progress and prevents collection of guns/gems. With more health, you don’t need to carry as many gems, giving you more space to bring back other gems or guns.
As your vision decreases with your hp, it’s best to keep it high, or very least
Map “Layers”
Below is a list of the regions or “layers” if you’re looking from the center going out like an onion, starting from the center.
Starting region:
Very straightforward with few enemies.
Blue region:
Unlike all other places, there’s a platform near the edge that takes you around full circle. I’d recommend you ride to increase your Portal count for an achievement. The pathways are somewhat connected here.
Green Region:
A jungle like region that has lots of empty area to jump through and a few areas that require you to go mainly left or right.
Orange Region:
This is a more dangerous version of the starting area. Traversing past this point is harder due to the large amount of walls preventing easy access going on one direction. The enemy count increases quite a bit here and this is the first time random human enemies can fall from out of nowhere.
Purple Region:
This is the first region that enemies have a lot of Rocket Launchers. It’s a good place to farm for money and is quite empty and easy to traverse. This is long and horizontal
Grey Region:
This is when it gets hard to traverse. There are lots of places where you can mainly go horizontally or vertically. There are small hallways to move between these sub areas but it can be hard as dead ends are more frequent.
Dark yellow-green Region:
This is the most annoying part as there are few places to move, due to small hallways. RLs are not advised and it’s best to move slow and with caution. Also it is possible that the area you’re in doesn’t lead to the next region so patience and luck will go a long way.
Red Region:
This area opens up quite a bit but enemies are a lot more dangerous, even with the last energy bar purchased. Drops are decent but with the large amount of human enemies around, dying without knowing why is quite possible.
Light Yellow Region:
This is the last and hardest region with the best guns and somewhat consistent drops of Diamond or Alexandrite. Word of caution, tread slowly and be alert as death in these parts is quite easy due to the amount of damage everything, including V for vendetta mask humans do.
Enemy List
Once you’ve fought through them once, it’s not that hard but I’ll mention it for the sake of completion. Do note, however, that you don’t have invulnerability so all hits will reduce your energy assuming they connect This is problematic when there are 10 enemies and all attacks connect.
For “medium” and “large” variants, the large version drops four “medium” versions and each one of those drops four “normal” variants. Extra damage done on the Large and Medium does not transfer to its smaller form. These are best killed by an RL, if you’re constantly firing, or a SMG due to its high rate.
Note: There might be other enemies that I’ve missed so this list may be incomplete.
Bats – Annoying small enemies that seem to move randomly in one of the four cardinal directions and change randomly. Medium and later large size variants do exist. These speed up as they get closer to dying.
Cannon – Stationary cannons that fire out bullets. The gun equipped depends only on the area you’re exploring in.
Eye Block – This is a large eye block with eyes in a circle that move around. They are large but don’t spawn smaller versions once killed.
Humans – Mobile creatures with various clothing on. They all wield different guns but have similar logic. If the bullet can either hit directly (in range) or splash for damage, they will fire. It’s easier to kill humans when you’re not directly in their walking path, e. g. above or below.
Floor Spikes – Indestructible spikes that pop out of the ground and retract. In their first form they hide in the wall. In their second form the tip is revealed and the third form the whole blade is revealed. All this happens over the course of 5 seconds.
Round Plant – These are good green plants that serve a similar purpose like floor spikes. Unlike those, they don’t have different colors but their damage is scaled accordingly.
Sawblade – These seem to come out of Super Mario World or related. They travel and hug the wall. Indestructible and annoying, but slow.
Spike Block – These blocks move in a fixed pattern into and out of a wall. They’re a pain in the ass if you need to go around them but harmless otherwise.
Spike Eye – Annoying small enemies, similar to bats that bounce around randomly like a billiard ball. Medium and later large size variants do exist. These speed up as they get closer to dying.
Swinging Drill – These are random indestructible drill heads that spin around. They will stop all bullets if hit.
Worm – These worms fly around in a somewhat random fashion but will try to ram you if you kill them. They get shorter as they take more damage and are quite dangerous. However, the shot gun or RL are the best tools to kill these.
Weapon Overview
There are four weapon types in the game each made for a different purpose.
Shot gun:
Very powerful damage but short gun is how most shot guns works here. Their spread allows them to hit above and below (two blocks ahead and they can start to hit 3 blocks) but are limited by their reach there. Speed modifications don’t help too much as there’s also a distance stat for weapons.
They are a great weapons for when you’re falling down a shaft as an RL’s splash will damage you as well. Effectively this is a close range RL without any side effect but won’t go through walls.
Sub Machine Gun (SMG):
This is the weakest weapon in the game. Its range is similar to a pistol but it serves its purpose to kill lots of small mobs at once. Unlike other guns, missing one shot doesn’t make or break you so it’s easier to use. Combined with a high rate of fire, this makes it a good choice when you don’t know to expect
I’ve used this more for taking down carrier, enemies that break into sub enemies. Its other use is seeing if I can aim right or if something will be in the way. Each clip has 26 bullets or so.
Rocket Launcher (RL):
This is one dangerous weapon that can take you with it. For starters the bullet is slow but unlike other weapons, it creates a splash explosion. This can go past one block columns and floors, making it a nice choice when dealing with enemy humans who also use this tactic on you.
The bullet will explode when it strikes anything, even saws and random drills. Due to this, it’s not a great idea to fire in close quarters or when environmental hazards are close by.
They are fun weapons but their flaw is that the enemy does NOT take any splash damage and you do. This means that for late tier RLs, you CAN kill yourself if you’re close, making them rather useless if you want to live.
Money and Assets
It’s best to actually store your money as guns and stuff it in your safe. As you’re not carrying it, you don’t lose it. It also acts somewhat like cash, as you can sell it later. If you want to be cautious it’s best to explore after a large purchase, as you’d have less money on you then. In the grand scheme of things, money isn’t too hard to come by and usually I’d have enough for the upgrade I want or am close enough that I can grind and get money. That being said, I do try to attack everything so your mileage will vary.
In terms of getting money, I’ve found the best and most reliable way is to kill people that have rocket launchers. Those, from my experience, sell more than the respective raw ore/gem for that region by 5x-20x depending on the gun. Given that ores disappear once you collect them, this is a sustainable process in addition to improving your guns. However, human enemies only seem to have rocket launchers starting from the purple and grey area from the edge or so. Even then, getting normal guns seem to be a better way to do it.
Don’t forget that when you die, mostly all weapons, except the ones equipped are dropped so store it in the safe or sell it when you can.

Below is a list of the ores and gems that can be picked up. The ore list shows roughly how much each ore sells and the gems show how much they can heal for. These are not absolute ranges and I have not gotten quality 1 and quality 99 items but these are estimates given what I’ve gotten.
