Hi, welcome to my guide about Prison Architect. Here I will be presenting you some tips and tricks for Escape Mode.

Method 1: The Knife

Starting off, you’re sitting in the bus and will receive a cell upon arrival. If you’re in you cell, you can directly start off, depending what the scedule currently is. What I like to do is wait till eating time, sneak into the kitchen and get a knife.

Pros:

• You can start killing people
• It does a pretty decent amount of damge
• There’s always enough to escape
• You can dig with it

Cons:

• Metal Detectors will highlight you
• Takes a bit to “reload”

  Now there are many other different ways to get weapons and kill people but this is the (for me) easiest way to get out. Note that this method is most effective when there aren’t many guards, since if you are surrounded by them you can get arrested quickly (See Con Point 2). So let’s look at another method!

Method 2: Lit Prison

But, there’s also a better method. Have you ever notice that guards are scared of fires in the normal game? Get this, they react the same way in Escape Mod! They actually do, they don’t go close to you when you’re fighting and fire is close by, they rather run away. So my helpful & effective tip to you: Try keeping a lighter and another weapon in your inventory.

Important! Note that you have to stay in Fight Mode, since the fire will die off when you stop fighting. Next Method!

Method 3: Mods

Now this is a bit different. Using mods where you are able to get more weapons, I suggest a mod where you can get more guns or piano wires (these do 9.00 damage so 3.00 more than a Knife [6.00] in the mod I used). This method is also very effective in secure max prisons where there are a lot of Armed Guards, Dog Handlers and Guards in every corner. Last method.

Method 4: Legendary Prisoner

I know that: “Escape Mod is where I have to escape and not kill!”, this is true, but to escape successfully you must kill get Reputation Points and get all the availiable Skills. Remember this: Start small, come out big! By starting small I mean like try not to be suspicious, start with killing people that can’t defend themselves.

Here’s a list of people that can’t defend themselves:

• Cooks
• Doctors
• The Warden
• Foreman
• Accountant
• Prisoners in cuffs
• Workers
• Lawyer
• Pyscologist

Now that you know how to get Rep Points, get all skills and know who is vunerable, I’m going to show you how you could go on.
Shortforms used to keep it simple:
OTE = Option to escape, that means after this step, you can choose to escape and finish or continue with the rest of the steps.
Opt = Optional, means that you can do it if you want, if you think it is really nescesary.

Step 1
Try maxing all of your skills (Become a Legendary Prisoner)! If you’re maxed you are now able to kill a guard instantly (without kevlar!)

Step 2
After every kill (or after you’ve killed all the guards that were chasing you) End Fight. This can help if you are hurt or if you need time to plan your next move.

(OTE | Opt) Step 3
Kill all the Guards. If you actually manage that, slaughter everyone else. Just for the heck of it. Then escape, or burn down the prison…

Step 4
Try avoiding Metal Detectors if possible, find optional routes or dig tunnels!

(Opt) Step 5
Getting a good supply of digging weapons if you choose to dig out of Jail. (My Suggestion is knives)

(OTE + Opt) Step 6
If you followed most of the steps you should be outside/escaping. If you choose to stay in jail, fun tip: kill and burn everyone and thing, it’s amusing. My best score was around 500 Points and I had more than 1100 Rep Points. Try beating it (Should be easy tbh)
