Overview
When I played this I noticed there was a LOT of information and misinformation regarding how to get this achievement. With a lot of conflicting information. So I used a little logic to discern the true from the false and was able to get the achievement on my first try. These are the steps I took, and some of the logic I used. I am confident if you make these choices you will earn this achievement in your first playthrough.
Follow These Steps For Guaranteed Success
If you follow these steps you will earn this achievement at the end of the game. If you are trying to earn all achievements, you may load a few saves here and there to get a few mutually exclusive achievements. Make sure you continue playing with the save that has the right choices made. Follow these steps for success.
NOTE: You may be able to stray from these steps and still earn the achievement. However, I can guarantee if you do follow these steps, you will definitely earn the achievement.
1. (Chapter 1) I do not think it matters if you choose your own way or agree to follow the Queen of Maggots. There are numerous reports of people choosing both options and earning the achievement. However, to be completely 100% sure, choose “I will make my own way.” I guarantee that choice will work in the long run as long as you follow all the other steps.
2. (Chapter 2) When Liz the nurse asks you the questions at the end of the chapter, make sure you get them right.
3. (Chapter 2) Make sure you solve the riddle involve the liar’s paradox with the 2 dolls and get the reward.
4. (Chapter 2) Kill the doctor. *(with the mace) It shouldn’t matter which weapon you use. You will probably load a save to get both. The save that I continued playing on is the one where I used the mace. (That means I used the spear first, reloaded, used the mace, and continuing playing with that). To be safe, do that same.
5. (Chapter 3) Don’t have a breakdown. Earn the “Unbreakable” achievement here. Also make sure you earn the “Go **** Yourself” achievement while not having breakdown.
6. (Chapter 4) Discover the Monster in the fog and earn the achievement.
7. (Chapter 4) Do not get killed by Gladys as you solve the level. Earn the “How Very Cleaver” achievement here. You can reload if you mess up, I did. Just make sure the save you continue playing with is one where you didn’t get caught at all.
8. (Chapter 5) Earn “Nettles” achievement.
9. (Chapter 6) Choose to NOT hurt Ivy and stand up to Joe. He will hurt you instead.
10. (Chapter 6) I am not so sure this matters, but it has been mentioned. Very soon after the previous step, Mitzi will guess a vegetable you were supposed to be thinking of… I chose to tell Mitzi that she guessed my vegetable wrong, as suggested in another guide. I can guarantee if you choose that you will earn this achievement, so just choose it.
11. (Chapter 6) Be sure to earn the “You’re Welcome” achievement.
12. (Chapter 7) Save Mitzi.
13. (Chapter 7) Refuse to blow out the candle.
14. (Chapter 7) Stop Mitzi from killing Adam.
