Overview
Use this guide to get rid of that hated green goo, the stupid slime, the annoying acid, or whatever else you want to call it.
Removing the slime
Slimes can easily be removed from all ships in the game, with modifying only a few files
1) Make sure the game is not running. Find the location of your Duskers save file.
This should be at C:Users [USER NAME] DocumentsMy GamesDuskersdataudataDEFAULT
2) Open all of the Galaxy Data files. They should be named something like gd_1937229622.txt. I recommend using Notepad++, because it’s better than notepad in every single way.
3) Delete every instance of the word slime. I recommend doing a find+Replace across all files (CTRL+H) to search for “,slime” and “slime,”. Replace those with nothing
3.1) Replace “slime” with “Brute” if slime is the only enemy in that ship. The game will probably run with no enemies, but who would want to play that?
4) Don’t forget to save. Or set all the ships to have 9999 scrap max, 9999 Pfuel, and 6 upgrade slots, then commandeer them. How much you want to cheat is up to you
That’t it. The green menace has now been removed from the game. I am sure that someone can create a bat file that would automatically do this, but that’s way above my pay grade.
