Overview
Conan Exiles offers a wide variety of food, dishes and drinks. Most of which are locked in books you can randomly stumble upon in your journey. I’ve compiled a list of the current recipe books you can discover in the exiled lands. As of September 2019, there are 10 cooking and 3 brewing book locations. Note; There are 11 specialist cooking recipes but one book gives 2.
Recommendations/tips
- All recipes are crafted in the stove w/o any thralls once the specific book is acquired
- If you’re looking for iced tea to keep you cooler in the volcano, you need a T3-T4 thrall for the stove
- If the food is spicy, it usually warms you up for cold temperatures
- You can create salt using stones or crystals in the grinder, 10/1 and 2/1 output ratio
- You can create spice using almost any fibers/herbs/plants in the grinder, 10/1 ratio
- You can get dried parts(like dried berries) with the dryer fueled by bark
- You can get regular blood and/or Bones by putting human flesh and/or animal heads in the press
- You can get ichor by cooking Unappetizing Fish, shrimps or pressing putrid meat or glands
- Demon Blood can by acquired by killing Rock Nose kings, Fire Imp and some demons. Plus more
- Best meat harvesting tool; Star metal meat cleaver(with Advanced Tool Upgrade Kit)
- Best Sickle: Obsidian or Acheronian sickle(with Advanced Tool Upgrade Kit)
- Best food heal in the game; Aloe soup(Specialist Cooking II)
- Best Sating; Cooked Abysmal Meat(The Dregs boss’s meat) *outdated*
- Longest decay; Enhanced Gruel(Specialist Cooking III)

NB:: The Brewing Feat must be learned to be able to access the chest.
-Rum Runner Vald’s Secret Recipe can be found in a chest, within a low ceiling cave under the Black Galleon. The cave is located above the secret lower entrance to the Black Galleon.
Pirate Cuisine
Can be learned by interacting with a book on a table in Flotsam at Buccaneer Bay.
