Persona 4 Golden 100% Achievements Guide | 2020 (This is not a strict-Everyday-Guide)

Overview

Since I have not seen an Achievements Guide on Persona 4 Golden yet, I decided to make One. I really hope that this guide will lead you to the golden Achievement at the end.

Before going to the actual guide

I want you to know that:

• I tried to make this as spoiler free as possible by obviously warning and blacking out every spoiler in the guide
• The big ones are the main reason why I started this guide in the first place and they will have their own sections further down. Persona 4 Golden is quite an old game and has countless of guides on the internet. Still. I had to check a lot of guides and Forums and what not to finally understand certain achievements. This guide is heavlily influenced by my own experiences with the game and a lot of researching during my playthroughs

• This is not a strict guide telling you what to do ON EVERY SINGLE DAY. The problem with those kind of Guides are that you;
  • 1) basically let someone else tell you exactly how to play your game
  • 2) that they seem like you are not allowed to do any kind of mistakes.. which is WRONG. On my second playthrough I have done quite a few mistakes and still got all the achievements at the end. Persona 4 Golden is quite forgiving when it comes to maxing everything. Just read the tipps I give you and you should be fine
  • 3) You might miss on some achievements
• Getting all the achievements will take AT LEAST 2 walkthroughs if done right.
  Thats why this guide is seperated in walkthroughs showing which achievements you CAN get and which one I RECOMMEND getting in this particular walkthrough. If you have missed any of the ones in the first Playthrough. Don’t panic. You will eventaually get them on your second one.
• Persona is an amazing game to play and to enjoy. And the achievements are a great motivation to play the game to its fullest. But even if some achievements are annoying and grindy you should always keep in mind that this is a game to enjoy and have a fun time. I know it sounds stupid to say but this is neither Dark Souls nor a Final Fantasy game. Most of these achievements are achieved by just playing the game and the other ones are much easier to obtain once you know exactly what you are doing (Example: Hardcore Rise Fan, The Reaper Becomes the Reaped, Thorough Bookkeeper, etc.)
• Changing the difficulty level of the game during or before the game will not have any influence on the story + endings or the achievemnts. You can play the game in very easy or very hard. This is mainly your decision. For certain achievements you will need to change the difficulty level anyways if you want to make your life easier

First Game/Walkthrough

The first walkthrough is the part where you should mainly focus on getting the good/true ending and play the game without worrying to much about getting every single achievement. The only few things you SHOULD do during this walkthrough is:

• Get the good ending (or true ending if you want to 100% this game as fast as possible). (More on section “How to get a certain ending“)
  Note: You can only accomplich the achievement “The Power of Truth” in NG+, if you played to the TRUE ENDING.
• Max out all Social Qualities (Courage, Understanding etc.)
• Get a lot of money for your New Game +
• Get 12 (max.) persona slots.
  By leveling your character you maximize your number of Persona slots which allows you to carry more Personas
• Get a good understanding of the game and S-Links

Achievements [Not hidden and easy to get] Part 1

The Other Self
Obtain the Persona Izanagi

Story related. Cannot be missed
Get your first Persona in the game.

Advantage Mine
Enter a battle with Player Advantage

Shadows are wandering around in dungeons and before entering a battle you can either have the first strke or not. To obtain the advantage-strike and the achievement, you have to hit the back of the shadow with your weapon.

Grasping at Greed
Defeat a Golden Hand

Golden Hands are easy to spot and are present in every dungoen. Once you are close to them they will run away and you will have to hit them with your weapon. Try to enter the battle with an Advantage-Strike but dont let the enemy run into you otherwise he will get the advantage.
Depending on the dungoen they are pretty much resistent to all elemental damage and they will try to get an opening and run away. Try to kill it either with Almighty damage or with strong physical abilites.
Defeating a golden hand will get you this trophy + a ton of money and EXP.

Fashion Plate
Fight a battle in costume

Very early into the game your teacher will call you out at night and hands you a costume. Equip it right away and once you go into battle you should obtain this achievement.

Tipps:
There are a lot of other costumes in the game. A lot of them will be given to you just by progressing in the story.

• Other Costumes are buyable goods in Okina City.
• A lot of Quests have costumes as rewards.
• Whenever you enter the TV talk to the Fox and pet it. It might give you a costume.
• When maxing Margarets S-Link -> Ask for another request and she will give your whole team a costume.

A Favor for Marie
Register a Skill Card

Marie is the teenie-girl sitting in the Velvet Room. Her task is similar to the Persona Compendium (more on it in “Persona Shopper”).
Skill cards are what they sound like; Skills in cards. These Cards can be obtained during Shuffle** Times. Skill Cards are those with red Swords. If you have one you can go to the Velvet Room and register a card by clicking “Utilize Skill Cards” -> “Give Skill Card”.
**Shuffle Times are the Cardpicking phases after a won battle

Registering a Skill Card will remove it from your inventory. But once registered you can buy the skill card whenever you want.
This will be helpful when trying to solve Margarets Quests.

Tactical Fighter
Exploit enemy weaknesses 100 times

Most enemies you encounter will have elemental or physical weaknesses. Whenever you hit the weakspot you see a yellow star showing: WEAK..
Doing this 100 times should be no problem and will be done quite fast in the first walkthrough.

Skilled Commander
Perform 50 All-Out Attacks

When all enemies are down (by hitting a weakspot or a critical hit, etc. ) the camera will rotate and you will be asked if you want to do an All-Out Attack. Confirm the request and enjoy watching the outcome…. 50 times.
Doing this 50 times should be no problem and will be done quite fast in the first walkthrough.

Persona Shopper
Buy a Persona from the Compendium

This is where the Compendium comes into play. You can buy any Persona you registered in the Compendium. Personas found and fused are automatically registered. Go to the Velvet Room and click on “Check Compendium” -> “View Compendium”. The achievement should be unlocked after buying any Persona in the list.

The Compendium is very useful especially in the late game.
Tipp: Whenever you have leveled a Persona or changed a skill you should register manually.
“Check Compendium” -> “Register Personas”

Displaying Adaptability
Switch Personas 5 times in 1 battle

You can switch a persona during a battle by going to “Persona” and then choosing a persona from the list of persona’s you carry. You can only switch 1 Persona in one turn.

Lucky Me!
Win a prize from the vending machine

At the very end of the Shopping District North where the big street is there should be 2 blue vending machines. By buying an Item from the machine you have a chance of winning a prize. This one is luck based but the chances of winning are not tooo small.

You only have 5 tries a day.

• You can make a save point at the Shopping District South and just keep trying to get the prize. > Reload if you have failed to win anything out of your 5 tries.
• You can also just just buy an item on every other day and hope for the best.

Part 2

Granter of Your Desires
Buy 5 things from Tanaka’s Amazing Commodities

Starting on (Sunday) 05/29 you can watch the Tanaka show at every week’s Sunday on your own TV(your room)
(Still watchable on following days. Go to your room and the game will inform you that you have not bought anything from the show yet).

Watching the show wont cost you any time. If you have ordered the item you will get it a few days after the purchase. The last possible time to do so is in late January ( I think either 29th or 22th).

Tipps:

• Since it does not cost any time you should always check what’s in store.
• If you are on your second playthrough (or even at your first playthrough) you should avoid buying any weapons or armory. Pretty disappointing.
• Instead you should look out for Items like the goldfish, hugefish, Inaba Trout.
• If you are about to do the Hermit quests you have to at least buy one item on the shopping program. Once receiving the item you will get the “Prize Ticket” which will be relevant later on. Any item will do for this.
• If you are about to do the the Compulsive Reader achievement you should buy the Inaba Trout (Day: 6/5).

Head of the Class
Rank #1 in your class on an exam

To get this achievement you will need to be ranked first on any exam. Exams are mandatory and cannot be skipped. Depending on the exam the ranking is heavily influenced by your Knowledge level and the amount of questions you answer. The questions on the exams are the same as the ones you were asked during classes. So you should be fine. If you have not managed to get this on your first Playthrough: you will most likely get this on your second one considering you have Knowledge on level 5.

Tipps:

• If you are on your way maxing out every S-Link you should always be 1#. It will grant you a bonus on your current S-Level (for your schoolmates only) making it more likely to get to the next level
• If you have been granted a high score you should talk to Ryotaro Dojima (Nanako’s Father), and Nanako.

A True Bond
Max out a Social Link

Social Links are an important part of the game. There are a total of 23 S-Links (excluding World).
3.5 of them are going to be somewhat maxed out automatically. More on that in section: “Legend of Inaba”.
Every Social Link has 10 levels. The first level is to activate the link (Some are activated by Storyprogression, some have to be manually activated). To get to the next level you have to actively spend time with them (when they have a blue exclamation mark above their heads, go talk to them).

This achievement can be done with any S-Link. I recommend doing it with one (or all) of your Main Squadmembers. It will grant them bonuses in battle. You have plenty of time for this achievement.

It’s Working Today
Buy an item from the Capsule Machine

This one is pretty easy to get.
The Capsule Machine is located at the end of the Shopping District South infront of the Drug Store (Store where you buy medicine and stuff). The weather has to be rainy in order for you to buy something from the Machine. The game tells you that the Machine is broken and then asks you if you want to call the owner. Confirm and done.

An Acquired Taste
Drink the coffee at Chagall Cafe

In order to get this one you will have to visit and drink a coffee in the coffe shop Chagall Cafe.
The coffee shop itself is located in Okina City.

Here is a quick explanation on how to unlock Okina City:

Once you have gained your Motorcycle (Early summer) you can use the motorcycle (infront of Dojima’s House) to unlock “Okina City” by choosing the first option “Ride around the neighboorhood”. This will take a few times and also costs time. You can only do that during the day.

The Nose Doesn’t Always Know
Experience a fusion accident

Fusion Accidents happen during a regular fusion. I want to be honest with you. This is completely random and in my 100 hrs of playtime and maybe 200+ fusions it only happend 2 times.
If you really have trouble getting this achievement I advise you to be on your second playthrough with a ton of money.
Make a save point ->
buy a lot of low level Personas ->
Fuse them as much as possible ->
Hope for the best i guess.

BUT you should only do that if you are at the end of your second playthrough. Just like me you will probably do 200+ fusions so you will get it eventually.

Seize the Moment
Buy a special croquette from Sozai Daigaku

Fairly easy. The shop is located at the start of the Shopping District North. You can buy their special Crouqette on rainy days.

Fill Your Hand
Get 50 Sweep Bonuses

Also one of those “just play the game and you will get it at some point” – achievements.
Sweep bonuses are granted when you have picked all the cards during a Shuffe Time**. Cards with a +2 (like moon and sun) will allow you to pick 2 or more cards (Aeon will give you 4 without any negative consequences) but they will either reduce your XP, money or whatever.

Tipp:

• If you have a negative card and the Star Card, then you can use the star card to avoid the negative effect of the other card. Pick the Negative card and then right after that the Star Card.
• Whenever you have a bonus on your shuffle time the next enemy will have a higher chance of a shuffle time. In fact I had a spree of 10. Getting 50 for the achievement should be no problem.

**Shuffle Times are the Cardpicking phases after a won battle

A Special Lady
Enter a special relationship with someone

When maxing out the S-Link of a girl (except Nanako of course) you will have the option of either be friends or making her your Girlfriend. The option will not be granted at the very end. Its mostly at Level 8 ( when you are about to get level 9). While Naoto will need some kind of preperation other female friends are easier to get as a girlfriend. Pick the option that makes sense** and the achievement will be yours.

**For example:
Girl: I-is it okay… for me to ask…?

1. You’re my classmate (Friends)
2. You’re my friend. (Friends)
3. I really like you. (Lovers Relationship)

• You can have multiple relationships.

Part 3

Going Nova
Deal over 999 damage in 1 attack

This is pretty easy. Wait for your late game where you should have a higher level and a strong persona. Go to your first actual dungoen (Castle) and pick a fight with any shadow.
Doing over 999 damage is no problem since you can deal more then 2000 damage on certain bossfights.

Cooking With Gas
Make 5 perfect boxed lunches

Whenever you get home and Nanako greats you, she might also tell you that the fridge is full. Click on the fridge and start making lunch. This is a common multiple choice quiz on how to make the certain dish. Picking the wrong option will waste the day and the food. Succed 5 times and the achievement is yours.

• On the next school day the game will ask you who you want to eat lunch with. The said S-Link will get a bonus on its current S-Link Point. Remember this when you try to max out all S-Links.

• Ginger Pork – Score it with a Knife
• Meat Stew – Simmer with a dropped lid
• Sweet & Sour Pork – potato starch
• Yakiniku Bento – Use Soy Sauce
• Potato Salad – Smash While Still Hot
• Hamburgers – cut a hole and look for juice
• Daigaku-Imo – Deep fry
• Pudding – vanilla extract
• Fried Chicken – potato starch
• Carrot & Burdock Root Kinpira – add soy sauce and mirin
• Chakin Sushi – thinned eggs
• Vichyssoise – add lots of milk
• Sesam/Marinated Spinach – strain it
• Tonkatsu – Flour. egg, then panko
• Kakuni – mirin, sugar & sake
• Croquettes – high
• Grilled Fish – strong heat but from far away
• California Rolls – mix and cool simultaneously
• Gyoza – olive oil
• Mentaiko Pasta – mayonnaise
• Oden – keep on a low flame and don’t boil
• Cream Stew – dump in all the cold milk
• Broiled Fish – wrap it tightly

Part 4

Movie Buff
Go to 3 movies at 30 Frame

Just like the Chagall Cafe, the Cinema is located in Okina City. A ticket is about 2500Yen and going with a friend will grant bonuses on their stats.

Here is a quick explanation on how to unlock Okina City:

Bug Hunter
Swing the net with perfect timing

Bughunting grants you a number of bugs. These are important for certain quests. (Look Hermit Quest in Legend of Inaba or “Fishing Master”).
To get this achievement you just have to swing the net with perfect timing.
But before that you will need to get the net:
Around early June:

Go to the Shrine in the Shopping District North and talk to the kid in green (the first kid) ->
He will tell you that he has lost his net ->
Then go back to the shrine at night/evening ->
This time you are looking for a women in white:

• You need Courage to get their at night
• The woman in white is not available everyday

• Talk to her ->
• She will tell you about searching for a goldfish. Irrelevant: YOU DONT NEED A GOLDFISH. Tipp: She will however exchange certain Stones for Fish.
• After that she will ask you if you know a boy who has lost a net. ->
• Press yes and the net is yours
• Now go back to the kid and talk to him. In order to bughunt you will have to ask him where to hunt bugs.
• Finally, examine the tree in the shrine and start hunting for bugs. To get a perfect timing, hit the action button as soon as you see the {!} above your head.

• Bughunting can be done either on days or nights. Not on rainy ones though.
• Bughunting does not cost any time but can only be done once a day.

Mr. Perfect
Max out all social qualities
[HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO GET THIS ON YOUR 1st PLAYTHROUGH]

Note:

These stats do carry over to the NG+, so don’t panic if you are missing 1 or 2 points. I however highly recommend you to focus on getting this achievement on your 1st Playthrough. It will make NG+ easier and gives you more options.

*Jobs: You can accept jobs in Shopping District North. Examine the Billboard and select a job.

• Jobs require one of those Social Qualities.
• Certain Jobs are only available at night.
• Hospital, Tutoring, Day Care can only be attended by Bus. (Shopping District South)
• Folding Cranes, Envelopes, Translations can only be done in your room (Examine your table)
• Barkeeper is only night times available in the Drug Store (Shopping District South)

*Books can also boost your Social Qualities.

*Reading, studying and doing homebased jobs will give you additional bonus on your Social Qualities when you do it on rainy weather

• FIghting optional bosses:
  • Whenever a squadmember asks you to go to the tv the next day, an optional boss will spawn at the latest dungeon. Defeating it will get you a bonus on Courage AND when defeated look around the Room to get a special item (not in chest).
• Check the Fridge reguarly
• Earting at Aiya (Shopping DIstrict North)
  • Either at rainy days, night time, or during the day. It might however not increase your desired Social Qualitie.
• Books:
  • The Lovely Man
  • Forever Macho
  • 100 Ghost Stories
  • Guide to Pests

Part 5

Moderate Bookkeeper
Register over 50% of the Compendium

This includes every unique Persona you either fuse or pick during Shuffle Times.
Make sure to pick the ones with “NEW” or use the “Searching”- Fusion
to get all the yet unregistered Personas (They will have a Card Symbol if they are already registered)

Fusion Expert
Perform 50 Persona fusions

You can fuse Personas in the Velvet Room. At the Early Stage of the game you are limited to fuse 2 or 3 Personas and also the search function (very useful). Starting on July 10th you unlock all other fusing possibilities. Doing this 50 times will grant you this achievement. You will get this one simply by playing the game normally.

Food Fighter
Finish Aiya’s special dish

Aiya’s restaurant is located at the very beginning of the Shopping District North. The special food is only available on rainy days and costs 3000Yen. In order to finish this you will need to have all Social Qualities (Courage Knowledge etc.) on MAX. See “Mr. Perfect” for more information on how to increase Social Qualities.

Card Collector
Register 100 Skill Cards

CTRL + F “A Favor for Marie” for a short explanation on what Skill Cards are :
This is a bit grindy and takes a good amount of times to accomplish.
What kind of card you will get during a Shuffle Time is random and to get this achievement you have to Register 100 Unique Skill Cards.

• The best advice I can give you here is that you will get this by fighting and aiming for Skill Cards and possbile Sweep Bonuses
• Another helpful option would be the Chagall Cafe in Okina City. It will grant you a certain Skill card depending on your Persona
• The good thing is that you dont have to do this in one Playthrough. All registered Skill Cards will be carried over to the New Game+

Compulsive Reader
Read all books

Also possible to obtain during your second playthrough. However, keeping night times free is very helpful for Legend of Inaba. So having the book achievement out of the way makes your life easier.

To get this achievement you have to read every book in the game in 1 playthrough.
You can read in your room by examining the sofa. Each book will cost you multiple days to complete.
22 out of 32 Books are buyable Items in the bookstore in Shopping District South right next to the gas Station. (Ignore the book store in Okina City)

5 are quest rewards from the Avid Reader. You can find the Questgiver right infront of the Bookstore in Shopping District South. A Questsymbol above his head indicates that he has a quest ready.

2 more are given to you if certain requirements are met:

Now lets go the rest: These are highly missable:
These books are given to you by your Strengh S-Link (Sportsclub). For this Achievement it does somewhat matter which Sport you have chosen.

Note: As stated before: You can do this the same time as “Legend of Inaba”. You will have plenty of night times to do both. Just make sure you buy “Hyperspeed Reading” at the book store (Day: 8/4) and finish it right away. It will allow you to finish every book twice as fast.

Achievements on First Playthrough [Hidden] SPOILER WARNING

A Prince Appears
Story related and cannot be missed

Save Yukiko
Finish Yukiko’s Caste and beat Yukiko’s shadow.
Number of Floors: 8
Available: April 18
Deadline: April 29

A True Man’s Stand
Story related and cannot be missed

Save Kanji
Finish the Steamy Bathhouse and beat Kanji’s shadow.
Number of Floors: 11
Available: May 19
Deadline: June 4

How to get Information: Talk to Kanji’s Mother in Shopping District North -> Go to Junes and talk to the women next to the elevators -> Return at Junes next day to talk to Naoto (blue boy)

The Lounge Is Closed
Story related and cannot be missed

Save Rise and Teddy
Finish Marukyu Striptease and beat Teddies shadow.
Number of Floors: 11
Available: June 25
Deadline: July 9

How to get Information: Go to school -> Talk to the Fat Kid in Practice Building Floor 2 (enter by stairs) -> Go Shopping District South and talk to Rise’s Grandma -> Go to Samagawe Floodplain -> Go straight and look for a Man in the middle of the Floodplain infront of Trees -> He will tell you about a photographer -> Return NEXT DAY (even on rainy days) and talk to the photographer. -> Tell him that Rise is different in Reallife and that she is stressed.

Special Fusion Expert

Performe a special fusion

After July 10th Igor will grant you the service of fusing more than 3 Persona’s. To get this achievement all you have to do is fuse 4 or more Persona’s.

Game Over
Story related and cannot be missed

Defeat Mitsou’s shadow
Finish the Void Quest and beat Mitsou’s shadow.
Number of Floors: 10 (But you will need the Orb of Darkness which is available on the 7th Floor)
Available: July 29
Deadline: August 12

How to get Information: Go talk to Kanji at Riverbank -> Go to Shop South and talk to Dojima close to the busstation ->
NEXT DAY: Go to Junes and talk to Adachi -> Tell him that you will tell Dojima -> Go to Shop North and talk to the Steak Restaurant next to Aiya’s behind the billboard -> NEXT DAY: Go to Shop South infront of the Tofushop there should be a werid looking boy with yellow hair-> Talk to him

Boarded-Up Lab
Story related and cannot be missed

Save Naoto
Finish the Secret Laboratory and beat Naoto’s shadow.
Number of Floors: 9 (You will need 2 ID Cards. Both are in the dungoen on 2 different Floors.)
Available: September 17
Deadline: October 5

How to get a certain Ending *Spoiler Ahead*

Now we have to be on the same page here. There are mutliple possilbe Endings in Persona 4 Golden. *SPOILER WARNING*
Note: To avoid any mistakes you should make use of the other save slots and read the texts carefully in the game.
If you are annoyed by these spoilter tags (understandable). just copy paste it on a .txt file and follow the guide from there.

Bad Ending: There are different bad endings though. The only thing you have to know is that you dont want to aim for this one. However if you want to still see this ending:
-> Do a quicksave after saving Nanako in the heaven. And dont follow the good ending guide.
The bad ending basically happens instantly. You will jump ahead in time untli your very last day. You will leave Inaba and the Town is still covered in thick fog.
-> After seeing the bad ending reload your save file and aim for the good ending.

Good ending:
A bit later after defeating Naratame and rescuing Nanako, Adachi will call you saying Nanako’s condition has become critical. Day: December / 03

A bit later you will find youself in Naratame’s Room with a big TV inside. Yosuke will give you the option to throw him into the TV to finally kill him, which is not what you want
Choose these options:

*Every other option will jump to the bad ending. Saving is advisable.*

After defeating Adachi you are able to get both the good and/or the true ending. Look further down.

How to get Information: Go to shopping North and talk to the Housewife infront of the shrine. Now you have the second qustion available. Go to Junes and talk to everyone there , go to the riverbank and talk to everyone, go to Shop North and talk with everyone. Now go back to Shop South and talk to the women infront of the bookstore. At this point a cutscene should happen. Iff nothing happens -> Talk to EVERYONE in the city (Shopping District, Junes, River) and return to the women at the bookstore.

The final dungoen Yomotsu Hirasaka can ONLY be done by aiming for the TRUE ENDING.
Here a quick guide on how to get the true ending:

– Defeat Adachi

– Play the game normally until March 20th

– This is your last day. The game will tell you to say goodbye to EVERY Social Link you have maxed.

– The game will keep telling you who is left and where to find them. Still Here you have a quick overview where everyone is:

Busstaion: Yukiko, Uehara (Devil), Eri (Temperance)

Shopping District:

• South: Chie, RIse, Shu(Tower) Margaret

• North: Kou + Daisuke (at Aiya’s), Marie, Fox (Shrine), Kanji, Naoki (Hanged)

Junes: Teddy + Yosuke (Food Court)

School: Ai, Naoto, Ayane or Yumi,

Floodplain: Hisano (Death)

Dojima Residence: Dojima + Naoto

– After saying “Good Bye” to everyone the game tells you that you are done for this day and asks you if you want to go home. Say NO

– You should go back to Shopping District South and make a save point. (Maybe a second one apart from your main one)

– Go to junes and examine the elevator. The game will tell you that you have no business here. Ignore that and keep going. You will find yourself in the Food Court with your friends.

– After that you will want to visit Dojima and Nanako who are located in the Samagwe Riverbank

– Now go to the Shopping District South (save again) and enter the Velvet Room. They will ask you if you have missed something and so on. Igor will eventually give you a Keyitem which will be more important later.

–Note: If you want to fight Margaret you should re-enter the Velvet room

– After leaving the Velvet Room it should start raining. Now go to the gas station and talk to the person infront of the gas station.

– Keep talking to him and ask him quesions regarding the case and so on

– At some point he will finally give up and reveal his/her true form.

– Done

In order to save Marie you will have to
1) Have her Social Link Level maxed before defeating Adachi
2) Defeat Adachi

You can now play the game normally.
The Dungoen will then be unlocked AFTER the Ski trip.

Now let’s talk about the dungoen. This one is a bit strange. Every Item in your inventory will be removed (just for this dungoen) and whenever you exit a fight (Either by winning or escaping) you will loose a huge chunk of SP. Even with VIctory Cry. The best thing is to mainly ignore fights but sometimes you will be forced to fight nonetheless.

What you should definitely do is to check every chest you encounter. Maybe even hunt them. Every item that you get that nullifies Elemental Resistance will be important in the boss fight.
You can also cast a spell that nullifies Elemental Resistance.
Before entering the boss fight use every item to restore Health/Sp.

A New Quiz King
Win the Miracle Quiz Finals

Oh yes! This was one of the best Achievements to get.
The Quiz fight is a minigame apart from the acutal game. But first:
How to get to the Quiz:

• At some point in the game, it will tell you that you can enter the “TV Listings“.
• Press “X” or on Controller “Start”
• Now go to the acutal TV Listings and find “Inaba Public Access”
  Note Every round unlocks after a specific event in the Storyprogression. To keep it spoiler free. I recommend playing the quiz in January after solving the case. You will then have every round unlocked.
• This is not apart of the main game. You should save before going into the quiz

To obtain the trophy you will have to win all 3 rounds (1 round has 20 questions). You can try them as often as you want.

Ok now let’s talk about the Quiz itself:

This is not going to be an easy one. Not at all. The questions are rather specific
( For Example: What is the name of the now closed pharmacy on the north side of the central shopping district? Who the**** knows this lol)
Every right answer will grant you a point. Every wrong answer will give you a negative point.
There are about 100 Questions (I think not sure)
And to top that of you are playing against Yosuke, Chie and Yukiko. They sometimes hit the buzzer way before you could even read the whole question.

Thats how I managed to get the Achievement:

• Read the question for about 1 second and hit the buzzer immediately even if you are not finished. After that you still have about 10 second to answer.
• Just play and you will memporize the answers eventually.

Fishing Master

Catch the Sea Guardian

You should combine getting this with “Legend of Inaba”. This will be the final Quest of the Hermit Quest Series. It is also recommended to have

• Diligence at MAX
• read the books: Fishing for Beginners + Experts and the Bughunter Book.

The Sea Guardian is only catchable at Inaba Beach and is the last quest in the Hermit Quest Series.
In order to even be able to catch him you will have to do the Hermit S-Link up to level 9.

Ok, now that we have that out of the way lets start with some preparation:

First of all you need a Fishing Rod ( you can do this regardless of your current Hermit Level)

• Go to the old man at the Riverbank and talk to him. He will talk about his lost fishing hook
• Starting at early June you can go to the shrine -> at day time, talk to the kid in green. He will tell you about his lost net
• Go to the shrine at night (requires Courage) and talk to the women in white
• She will ask you about a goldfish -> Ignore that and answer yes when asked about a boy who has lost his net. She will give you the Net.
• Go back to the kid and ask him where to bughunt.
• Now go to the tree and do so. *Try to get a perfect timing to get more bugs*
• Any bug will do for this though(i hope)
• At night time -> Go outside -> into town -> Shopping District South -> Drug Store
• You will get the fishing hook from the owner of the shop once entered.
  If nothing happend -> Press talk and she will ask you to feed her fishes with a bug
• She will give you the lost fishing rod if you accept her request
• Now go back to the old man and obtain your first Fishing Rod!

Second Phase:
Get access to the beach. To do so you will need to drive “long rodes” with your motorcycle 2 or 3 times(Second choice)
*Before you can do that you have to unlock Okina City by riding the Motorcycle around the neighboorhood.*
Thats it.

Now comes the third phase. You need to accept the 10th hermit quest.
and you have to catch the River Guardian first before catching the Sea Guardian:

Talk to the Old man at the Riverbank. He is the original Questgiver. He will tell you about the Sea Guardian and that he always wanted to sea it.
Now go to the Beach choose the fishing option. You will realize that your fishing rod is not suitable for the sea
Go back to the old man and talk to him. He will now talk about the River Guardian.
Before moving on make sure to ask him every question about the River Guardian.

How to catch the River Guardian:

• Catch the Inaba Jewel Beetle (Bughunting at day and/or night)
• Make sure its raining or snowing (save before fishing)
• Start fishing and choose the Inaba Jewel Beetle
• Now pay close attention to the ripples on the surface of the water. Whenever you see huge splashes going upwards (looks like explosions … You will see it) you can proceed fishing. If not -> Reel in and try again. You can do this as often as you like.
• The finishing Mini Game is somewhat self explanatory. Just dont Hold the button as it is stated in the game. Move the arrow and tap the action button whenever the arrow is in the blue area

After catching the River Guardian you can finally catch the Sea Guardian.

Go talk to the old man and show him your newest catch of the day. He will give you the improved fishing rod for the sea
Talk to him again and ask him every question possible
Now you have to bughunt for the Genji Beetle (only available at night times)

Note:
• If you cannot find the Genji Beetle after several tries make sure to keep talking to the old man. The Genji Beetle only unlocks by talking to the old man.
  Go to the Sea first and start fishing without the genji beetle to hopefully trigger an event with the old man.

How to catch the Sea Guardian:

Make sure its raining or snowing
Go to the Beach
Choose the Genji Beetle
Look for those explosions similar to the River Guardian
Finish the Fishing MIni Game
Thats it. The Achievement should be yours.

Note: If you want to max Hermit Social Link, keep in mind that you will need to call the fox TWICE to actually getting the Link to Level 10.

The Reaper Becomes the Reaped

Defeat The Reaper

The Reaper is an Optional Mini-Boss who can be encountered in several Dungoens. The last day you can do this is also on the very last day of the game: March 20.

The hardest part of this achievement is not fighting the reaper but rather finding him even though you have probably seen him or were about to face him by sheer luck.

Before giving you a guide on how to find him you have to know how the spawning works.

You have a good chance of summoning the Reaper when you have opened 21 chests. Once you are on your 21th chest you WILL hear chain sounds. This indicates that the Reaper MIGHT be on the next non-golden chest. So in other words. The game gives you a chestcounter and on the 22nd chest you have the possibility to summon the reaper.

If you go on the internet and search for a farming guide the most common way is yukiko’s caste farming tactic.
This can either work perfectly or not one freaking time. The reason for this is the Chestcounter.

So, before actually getting into the guide YOU HAVE TO RESET YOUR CC.
If you jump right into the guide without reseting it you might be trapped at the beginning of the guide and will never successfully spawn the Reaper.

Enough Talking, let’s go:

• Have Rise S-Link at 3 or higher for *Chest Radar*
• Get a good amount of Goho-M (30 Depending on how often you want to kill the Reaper)

• Enter the 1st Floor of Yukiko’s Castle
  Now the important part:
• Open every chest in the 1st floor and pay close attention to any chain sounds (Might be that the 1st, 2nd etc. chest you have opened has triggered the chain sound -> Don’t open any chests and go back by calling Rise). Once the last chest has been opened in the floor: Wait a few seconds check if you hear chain sounds or not:
• if
  • you hear the chain sounds you can be 100% that your CC is at 21. Now go back to the entrance by calling Rise. You have successfully reset your Chestcount. Now you can do the guide at the bottom without worrying about anything other then the fight itself.
  • you hear NO chainsounds -> Call Rise and go back to the entrance. Re-enter the 1st floor and open every chest. Repeat this if-path until you hear Chain sounds.

• Go to Yukiko’s Castle and work your way up/down to Floor 5.
• Now use Goho-M
• Enter the dungoen and go to the 1st Floor
• Open the Map and look for 4 Chests. If by any means you dont see 4 chest on your map (Has never happend to me) -> Leave the dungoen and go back to the hub. Re-Enter the 1st Floor. And so on
• Open every chest in this floor.
• Go back to the entrance by calling Rise
• Re-enter the 1st Floor
• Repeat 5 times to get the CC at 20
  Tipp: If you have trouble remembering the number of Chests opened -> Make sure you hear no chain sounds -> go back to the Hub and save. The CC will not be reseted if you leave the dungeon.
• After 20 chest opened -> leave the dungoen and make a save Point.
• Go back to the Dungoen and enter the 5th floor
  • This Dungoen only has 2 Chests and both of them have good chances of spawning a shadow.
  • Open both chests and hope for the best. After opening the first chest YOU SHOULD HEAR CHAIN SOUNDS
• If
  • done correctly and a bit of luck the 22nd chest you are about to open spawns the Reaper.
    (Game Text starts with “……….”
  • nothing happend -> reload your last save , re-enter the 5th floor and repeat the last step

If you actively hunt the Reaper I assume that you are 80+ and have access to strong Persona’s. Thats why I dont really have a lot to say about the Fight. But just to prepare yourself:

The Reaper attacks 2 times in a row and he has 3 form of attack tactics:

• Heavy Elemantal Damage (Mostly on Members with weaknesses)
• Instantkills (Darkness, Light)
• Physical Damage (normal attacks)

When I fought him like … 20 times he mostly did Elemental Damage and that was no problem since my Teammembers had “Evade XXX” ( you get that by maxing their S-Link)

Whenever he used Instantkills my members withstand his attack with the ability of their max S-link.
So having your Teammembers on 10. S-Link is also very helpful.

The battles mostly lasted like… 2 or 3 rounds so I unfortunately cant give you any more tipps (Sorry) but you should be fine if you have “Yoshi tsune[arantius.github.io]” and just buff yourself with Evade, damage, defense and debuff the Reapers Evade chance, defense.

If you have trouble fighting him:
Look at the “One Who Has Proven Their Power”.

The Chestcount is important to keep track of.
There are only 2 things that can reset the CC:

• Exiting the floor while hearing Chain sounds
• Opening the 22nd chest

The CC is NOT set to 0 by

• Using Goho-M (unless you hear Chain sounds)
• Leaving the Dungoen (unless you hear Chain sounds)
• Fighting Shadows
• Opening golden Treasure Chests (unless you hear Chain sounds)

Once you have finally defeated The Reaper you will be granted this achievement and a pretty neat weapon. Killing him multiple times will grant every other party member a High-End weapon. Once Every of your party Member has been granted a reward
the Reaper will drop “Godly Robe” (High Defense, and +10 on all Stats)

Max every S-Link in the Game in 1 Playthrough

*SPOILERS AHEAD*

Oh Boy where do I start.

Not gonna lie, this achievement can be quite tough. BUT I have realized that this game is quite forgiving when it comes to this achievement. In Fact you can easily do that if you just know how to properly plan your Social Links.

In order to get to the next S-Level you need to have a certain amount of S-Link Points.
Before actually spending time with a person you should pay close attention to the in game text.
If it states that “the relationship will become closer soon” or “the relationship will deepen” thats where you know that you will be granted the next level. Everything else is a wasted day.
Increase your points to make sure you dont waste a day.

Helpful Guide I used for this achievement:

Guide on how to activate a certain S-Link and what answers give what S-Point[sites.google.com]

• Spending time and giving the right answers
• Eating Lunch (CTRL + F for “Cooking with Gas” for a cooking guide)
• Spending time at night
• Drawing a fortune at night for 200Yen and picking the certain person
• Ranking #1 on a Exam (only School Social Links)
• Studying together
• Giving the right answer during class when they were actually been asked the question

Most S-Links have February 5th as their Deadlines.
Except for:
Adachi: (November 1th) (You only have reach level 6)

• Make multiple saves in case of messing up.(Wasting a day or forgetting to solve Hermit quest)
• Always carry a Persona of the S-Link you are currently leveling in your Inventory. It will give you a boost on your S-Points when spending time together.
• Try to Max Dojima and Nanoko right at the beginning. They are available almost everyday at night times. Buy getting them first out of the way you can use the following nights to your advantage.
• Gardening will also slightly boost your S-Link with the Person you are with. it costs no time
• Open the “Voice” Button on the top corner to keep track of some possible available S-Links
• Try to rescue a Person on just one day! You do not have to rescue the person on the very first day (Deadlines are in this guide). It is adviseable to look at the weartherforcast and make your plans accordingly.
  Check the Weather Report daily to see if there are rainy days ahead so you can pick the rainy days as your TV days and plan ahead

• Spoilers: If you are about to fight Adachi: DONT DEFEAT HIM BEFORE DECEMBER 22nd. If you defeat him ealier you will jump ahead and waste a lot of non-rainy days if you defeat him later you will miss on a special day
• Whenever you have a free night -> go outside
  You can either spend time at night to boost your S-Points or you can draw fortunes at the shrine.

• Culture Club can be attended during rainy days. (Very Helpful)
• The Hermit Social Link is your best Joker. He can be leveled on any day. And asking for the next Quest is completely free + solving quests are also free.
• Try avoiding going straight home. There is always something to do. For example unlocking the beach, Okina City, studying with a S-LInk, or preparing the Hermit Quest
• Margarets S-Link can be done on any day and leveling costs no time.

For this achievement you will need to get the Compendium to 100%. This means getting every Persona in the Game except for one: Izanagi no-Okami (The world Persona)
Due to the Compendium getting carried over to the next playthrough you don’t have to do this in one specific playthrough. Just remember that you have to max EVERY Social Link at least once to obtain their Keyitem which makes their Social Link Persona available.

With the Search Fusion and the Power of the Internet the only things that can stop you from getting this achievement are:

• Playerlevel (be at least 93)
• and Money (have at least 1 or 2 Mio.)

This is commonly known as the worst and random achievement to get. But to be honest, if you know what you are looking for, you can save hours, maybe days.
To get this achievement you have to hear 250 unique Navigation lines from Rise. You can actually get this on your first playthrough but I recommend getting this on your second one, mainly because of all the grinding going to waste. If you want to fight Margaret, this achievement is acutally a good motivation to level to 99.

Before jumping to the list you should understand what you are aiming for when going for this achievement. I guarantee you that you will have no questions unanswered after reading this guide

1) Do the lines get carried over to the next game?
I don’t know
I seriously doubt it and I would not take the risk and count on it anyway.

2) What counts towards this achievement?

Ok this is important: The lines have to be:
• DURING a Battle
• Rise’s picture has to be on THE TOP of the screen
• You have to see a text field and you have to here her voice

3) Are there only 250 lines?
Nope. Not sure how many but I have listed over 300 lines and there are still some missing. I think there are about 400 lines in total.

4) is it easier to be underleveled for this?
No, not necessarily. Don’t worry about being overleveled. There are a few lines (maybe 4 – 6) in which she tells you that the enemy is stronger than you but this is seriously not worth it. The good thing however is that you do not one hit all enemies at once. But you can change the difficulty and have controle over your damageoutput. Just to let you know: I was 99 when I was hunting for the achievement.

5) Do comments on the weakness count if you analize the enemy?
Nope. Only her own Weakness scans (S-Link level 2 or higher) count. Although, analyzing the enemy is still very useful for this achievement.

6) What about the lines where she tells you off battle that you should watch your health?
Nope.

7) What about the Lines that….

Analizeshuffle:
This is a great way to get some more lines out of Rise:
Analyze an enemy and go back out. If you hear nothing repeat. She will eventually say something new. This is super useful when a Teammember suffers from any kind of Debuff.

Play the game normally up until the “Void Quest”
However DO NOT LEVEL UP RISE’S S-LINK!
Once Rise’s S-Link is Level 2 she will learn “Weakness scan” These will make the Ambush and Advantage-Strikes rarer and we dont want that.

Try focusing on getting these ones in void quest and/or the secret lab:

• Ambush Lines (Let the shadow attack you on the back)
• Advantage Hits (Attack the shadow on his back)
• Neutral fights (noones back has been attacked, neither you or the enemies have advantage)
• Escape lines
  • (press escape while waiting for an escape (+1 line), press escape while battling a boss (+1)

Note: You dont have to get every single line. 5 Enemy encounters are quite rare. Fun fact. I got six 5-Enemy Encounters in a row AFTER I got the weakness scan… This .. is… Thank you Dark Souls.

Once you have gained most of the lines above you can start leveling Rise’s S-Link. Now she will give out the Weakness/Immune Lines with “Weaknes Scan”.

At this point you should have at least 120 – 150 lines. Now comes the grindy part. You will need to milk the Teammember Lines where they suffer from several Statuschanges (Defense Down, Confuse etc.)

Tipp:

• When grinding: Turn up or down the difficulty Setting. Useful if you want to control your and/or the enemies damage for further lines.
• Switch Dungoens to get other Debuffs and weaker enemies for easy one hits
• To get Defense, Agility, And Offense Lines go to the Secret Lab Floor 7 – 8 and look for the Mind Dice[megamitensei.fandom.com] enemy. He will cast “Debilitate” on you + Mind Dice is immune to physical attacks. Just Rush and MIlk. Or you can Analyizeshuffle the remaining lines.

If you have about 200 – 220 lines in total you can switch your teammembers and gain the rest of the lines. This is the “my work will pay off now, after I got the hard ones out of the way” part.

Note that if you have missed 5 to 10 lines you will get them on different Bossfights.

There are about 340 lines that I have collected. Putting them here would be a nightmare. I will however provide a link where you can download the RiseTextfile

Defeat Margaret

Margaret is by far the strongest enemy in the game. Even on “Very Easy” you might run into problems. She can summon all kinds of End game Personas and attacks 2 times in a turn (+x when she exploits weaknesses).
Before talking about the acutal fight here a quick guide on how to get her to battle you:

• You need to be on NG+
• You have Empress (Margaret) S-Link Maxed
• You have beaten every optional boss up until Heaven (re-entering the same dungoen and defeating the shadows at the end floor)
• You are about to get the TRUE Ending

See *How to get the true ending* further up in this guide.

After entering the Velvet Room and obtaining the KeyItem “Orb of Sight” you have to re-enter the Velvet Room. Margaret will be sitting alone and asks you to battle her. After that you will be given the Keyitem “Aqua Invitation”. That’s it.

You will find Margaret in the top floor of the Heaven Dungoen.

Make sure you and your Party members are

• 99
• Social Links maxed out and Persona Version 3 (S maxed and had the final talk in January)
• Have the best possible equipment you can find (Maybe by farming Reaper: To see a guide on farming the Reaper go to section “The Reaper Becomes the Reaped”)

This is a simple strategy that I used:

• Fuse Persona “Yoshi tsune[arantius.github.io]” (Tower) This Persona has a signature move called “Hassou Tobi” dealing light damage to all foes 8 times.
• Buff your Teammembers with Bonus Attack, Hit/Evasion Rate and Defense
  • Tipp: Have a Persona who has Auto-Buff skills as your first Persona and then switch to any other one.
• Debuff Margaret’s Defense, Attack, Hit/Evasion Rate. (Use Debilitate: Norn, Trempeter)
• Then keep hitting her with strong Damage spells
• Pay attention to the persona she has summoned. She will get the
  resistances of that persona( summons loki -> Immune to Ice, Summons Yoshi tsune -> immune to physical attacks)
• She will sometimes heal herself. Mostly once somtimes twice. But thats it.

Fuse Izanagi-no-Okami

To finally fuse the final Persona in the game you have to fullfill these requirements first:

• Be on a NG+ and on your last Playthrough you had to have seen the TRUE ENDING
• Be Level 91 or higher
• Have the Persona “Norn” (Max Fortune S-LInk) available in Compendium or available to fuse

After July 10th Igor will allow you to Fuse more than 3 Personas which includes fusing Izanagi-no-Okami.

He are the 12 Personas you need to fuse Izanagi-no-Okami:

• Sandman (Strength)
• Nata Taishi (Chariot)
• Girimehkala (Moon)
• Norn (Fortune) (Max Fortune)
• Okuninushi (Emperor)

If by any means you don’t want to play this game another time and level up to 91 again. (understandable) Here is a link to a Savepoint at the 6th Saveslot:

2) Go ingame and make sure you have 6 Savefiles (make 6 saves up to saveslot 6)

• Saveslot 2
• Saveslot 3

It doesnt matter what the saveslots are, the reason for this is that the game won’t recongnize my saveslot at the 6th place if there arent any other up to 6.

3) Now drag and drop this here and replace your 6th saveslot:

4)Launch the game. The name of the Ingame SaveSlot should be “Yu Narukami” Level 90+
Open that file and you will hopefully be in Shopping District South right infront of the Velvet Room and a rainy day.

5) Every Persona needed is already in your Inventory. Enter the Velvet Room and Fuse Izanagi-no-Okami with the Dodecagon special fusion.

Note: This is a modified Save Point meaning that if you level up on this save point you will return to Level 24. Just use this file to get the achievement.
