Overview
Still waiting for the Blender 2.8 Beta to release on Steam? You want to add hours in the software? Well wait no more! This is a easy way to fix the problem in just minutes.
1. Locate Blender files.
- First go to your Steam Library, then right click on the Blender icon and select “Properties”
- Now go to “Local Files” and click on “Browse Local Files”
2. Delete Blender files
- I recommend you to close Steam before doing this step.
- Now that you have localized the Blender files, select them all, and delete them.
PS: If you want to keep the files for other reasons, make a Backup.
3. Put Blender 2.8 Beta files in the empty Blender folder.
- If you happen to not have Blender 2.8 Beta here is the download link [builder.blender.org]
- After you extracted the Rar. Go to the Blender 2.8 Beta Folder, select and copy/move all the files to the Empty Steam Blender Folder.
4. Enjoy!
- BAM! Now you have Blender 2.8 Beta, and as you can see, it works perfectly with Steam.
Now go and have fun with this powerfull Software.
NOTE: When Blender Foundation decides to launch a actualization of the Software, Steam will automatic delete all the files of the Beta we just inserted, let’s hope it will be soon to have a final release of Blender 2.8.
