Overview
My first steam guide. Maybe it will help someone? The first few places I went, I went to different islands. When I got lost, I just headed for the shore and followed the shore until I found the boat. This turned out to be a giant crutch as soon as I went to Eagles Rest and got lost for several hours. So, here’s some handy trail markers for people like me that are terified of trying to navigate the desert and Eagle’s Rest.
Get lost a lot? Me too!
The easiest trail marker is a scratching post.
Scratching Post
Cost: 1 log
That’s great, but it can’t tell me direction that well so let’s move on to the second easiest.
Stepping Stone A, Stepping Stone B
Cost: 2 gravel (1 each)
Two gravel stepping stones is the cheapest thing to carry around since gravel is not needed until very late in the game. It can give direction well but it’s not as visible as the post.
Scratching Post, Small Fence
Cost: 1 log, 4 timber 2 Rope
Here’s another cheap one.
Long Rustic Bench
1 log, 2 Large Stone.
There’s another type of bench that costs 12 Firewood, so you can easily make markers based on what you have excess of whether that be timber, firewood or stone.
If you really like the city, brick paths are another option and are pretty visible.
You can even make larger arrows for yourself.
Mix and match what you like to create markers and never get lost again (hopefully)
