How To Become More Powerful Than Any Jedi (Dooku Guide)

Overview

This guide will show you how to use the Sith Lord Count Dooku, including star cards, abilities, and play style

Intro

This guide will show you how to use Count Dooku, including the best star cards to use, his abilities, and the play style of the Sith Count.

Star Card 1

The first card you should be using is Sith Control, never take off this card, it is single-handedly the best Dooku card, and is the first star card unlocked. This card increases Dookus max health regen to 370 from the base 250, making it the highest health regen card for any villain or hero.

Star Card 2

The second star card I recommend is finesse, it is also one of the first star cards unlocked, and one of the best, it is both useful in supremacy and heroes vs villains. The card reduces the amount of stamina used while attacking, blocking, and deflecting blasters. At base level this card increases the amount of lightsaber swings from the default 14 to 16 and up by one swing each level to a max of 19 total swings; the same goes for melee blocks.

Star Card 3

The third and final star card I recommend is masterful duelist. This card, unlike the other two I recommend affects a Dooku ability. This card increases the amount of damage Dooku deals with his duelist ability, from the base 155 damage to the front of an enemy to 160 at level 1, and up 5 damage every level up to 175. Dooku deals even more damage when attacking from behind with this card when masterful duelist is active, from a base 205 damage it goes up by 5 damage every level up to a total of 225 damage, killing any base trooper in one hit and dealing a significant amount of damage to enemy heroes.

Alternative Star Cards

These are some alternative star cards that can replace masterful duelist, keep the first star cards equipped as they are objectively the best Dooku cards.

Blind spot is the first card, it increases the angle range of Dookus lightning stun, note that it does not increase the range of the stun, but it increases the width of the stun area, up to an extra 30 degrees.

Below is a comparison between the default lightning angle, and the maximum lightning angle with blind spot equipped

This card is most useful in HvV where heroes are typically close together but not close enough to stun most of them at once, in other game modes this card is not recommended.

The second and last card replacement card recommended is Balanced duelist. The card decreases the cooldown time of Dookus duelist ability from 13 seconds down to 9 seconds, every level decreases the cooldown by one second. As duelist is Dookus best ability this card can be used in any game mode, but is most useful in HvV as you will be using this ability a lot in that game mode, but the ability to increase your damage more often in supremacy or galactic assault is still a great advantage.

Abilities

The three abilites Dooku has are overall pretty good, the first ability lightning stun, is best to take out clumps of enemies in rapid succession or dealing lots of damage against higher health support troops as it will knock them to the ground rendering their weapons useless for a short amount of time.
The second, and best ability duelist is best used for rushing towards the enemy, blocking, running, and dodging towards them or even better activating it before a flank as Dooku deals 225 damage with masterful duelist at max level, and 205 without that card equipped.

The third and final ability, exposed weakness, this ability slows, removes any health buffs, and makes Dooku deal 25 extra damage with his lightsaber, if the enemy weakened by this ability is killed at the hands of Count Dooku, this ability will automatically recharge. Keep in mind this ability takes some time to activate, and should only be used in 1v1s with heroes or against any lone support trooper, against regular troopers this ability is pretty useless and two swings of Dookus lightsaber will kill any regular non-health boosted trooper (specifically heavy.) This ability is best used in conjunction with duelist against heroes

Play style

The play style of Dooku is pretty straight forward, playing him isn’t as difficult as Palpatine or Maul. The way you want to play Dooku is to try and get behind the enemies, flanking with Dooku is your best friend. With Dooku having the second highest lightsaber damage from behind at 160 damage, you can kill any class that’s non-hero with two lightsaber hits, combined with Dookus duelist ability, you can kill any base non-health boosted trooper class with one hit, and any other non-hero player with two hits.

For heroes, again getting behind them is the best way to deal damage, Dookus three dodges can make this slightly easier, the best way to deal the most damage to heroes with Dooku is to use his duelist ability and expose weakness at the same time, as exposed weakness gives an extra 25 damage for you and your teammates on top of your extra 25 damage with base duelist and max 45 damage with masterful duelist at max level. Another good way to deal damage to heroes with Dooku is to use his lightning stun, which will deal damage as well as throw his enemies to the ground, after you stun them use your dodge to get closer to them and start attacking them with your lightsaber, even though there is a chance that they can block while still down most players don’t know this and most of the time you can still hit them.

For retreat, use your lightning stun to stun and throw players to the ground, dodge back twice, block if you’re being shot at, then dodge again, get around a corner or behind something, you should have created enough distance between you and enemies to regen some health. You can do the same except use exposed weakness against heroes instead of lightning stun, as it will drastically slow them down, with running and using dodge you’ll create more than enough space between you and the enemy hero
