Collection of tips and tricks for newbie – 2020 Edition

Overview

A lot helpful tip and trick. Thing i wish i knew when i was newbie.

First thing first

-Some information may not up to date. I will try my best to update this guide.
-Sorry for my broken English, feel free correct my English and any incorrect information. Any advice or contribution will be appreciated.

-Feel free to DM me any question.

Configuration

– Thank for a friend point out that you can run game, log in then kill Steam Client Boostrap service by task manager and log in another to run another instance of game.
– The other way is use sandboxie.

The very begining

1. You should play with mobile first, since you can bind it with your steam account get about 200 jade as reward, as i recall if you play steam first you don’t get this.
2. In tutorial quest, the game force you to do 10 summon, it guaranteed SSR but Shikigami in the 10th summon will be chosen from one of the Shikigami below:
   Ootengu, Shuten Doji, Ibaraki Doji, Susabi, Higanbana, Tamamonomae, Onikiri

   The list has change one time, the list before:
   Outdated: Yamakaze, Yuki, Ichimokuren, Yoto Hime, Shishio, Enma, Lord Arakawa, Aoandon

   Which are really weak and not newbie friendly. Again you should do it on mobile, simply use back button to cancel it and save those amulet for later use (Not sure about IOS). You only do single summon – 1 amulet so it will not trigger the newbie pool if you want reroll account.

   The new pool pretty decent now.

3. If you want reroll or simple want to know which shikigami is good for starter, here my personal recommend list:
   SSR Ootengu | He used to be strong but okay for newbie now
   

   SSR Tamamonomae | Still going strong
   

   SSR Ungaikyo | Not fast farming exp like Tama but useful in alot content
   

   SSR Orichi | He is a temporary farmer, but strongest shiki who will carry you almost every serect zone
   

   SP Tamamonomae | Strong but need Azure or orber
   

   SP Inferno Ibaraki Doji | Strong but need Azure or orber
   

   SP Ubume | Same as SSR Tama
   

4. Try to find a mentor ( a good one, has strong shikigami and active) as soon as possible, so you get a lot rich reward in mentor quest like skill daruma or free SSR/SP.
5. Try bond up with mentor so you can borrow their shiki and clear early game content.
   The fast way are:
   • By farming together.
   • Send shard ( you should wish for R and SR shard, they good for early game and mentor can give you easily).
   • Invite demon parade.
   • Friendship pack.
   • Entrust realm.

Level up

Try to get level up as fast as possible, because a lot content is blocked by your level.

Farming

1. Team comp.
   All you need in most content is
   Yamausagi : Fortune cat, a lot speed, grade 2-3 is fine.
   
   Zash : Azure, grade 2-3 is fine.
   
   Then your DPS is a good starter above, if you don’t has those, here some other alter options:

   SR Ubume – the new best choice
   She just got buff recently
   

   SR Kuro Mujou – the second best choice
   He just got buff, so he only need 40 Crit now – very easy to build
   

   SR Kani hime – decent choice
   

   SR Kisei
   

   R Karasu Tengu
   

   and grade 6 it first, you can exchange grade later if find better shikigami.

   Team for farm exp is your dps and 2 food, try map that high level but you can clear fastest and Aim for yokai ( monster) has exp buff.

2. Sustain farming exp in long run.
   The hard core way.

   You should build another account, try reroll to get good starter shikigami.

   Aim for yokai ( monster) has exp buff.
   In team mode you get 20% exp bonus

   + 10% when reach 150 bond
   + 15% when join big guild ( so they can afford exp buff 24/7 )
   + 10% if you has plenty of money, you should buy monthly pack
   Turn on 100% & 50% EXP buff, now you get 195% exp buff.
   Let your alt host and let it do all the job, so you can enjoy 3 slot for food.

   The lay back way.

   Do Kraken in normal day and Enraged Kraken in weekend, just try to help by bring zash and 1 food – remember to turn food’s skill off. If you has plenty of zash, don’t shine them use them as food, so now you has 2 food and actually do something as well.

   Some other way to leveling shikigami.
   1. Realm – if you has nothing in your realm it will be a waste passive exp, put a grade 2 when you has nothing else to use. Entrust in friend’s realm will give some exp too, even when they dont use any realm card.
   2. Dispatch – there a couple quest will give your daruma quite a lot EXP and chance drop other good stuff, like black daruma.

EXP

• The recent update (Dec 2020) make the exp zone a lot better, you don’t even need to be strong, just need few high level player, turn on 100% and 50% exp buff and you got 70k exp or more for 4 food. If you place more food in your team comp will not reward more, so do your best.

Coin

This is 1 of 3 basic currency of the game.

Usage:

• Upgrade soul – this is where all your coin will gone.
• Buy some stuff in mall:
  1. Soul – never do that, except you really need that piece OR buy boss soul.

• How to farm coin:
  • Use Tesso as food when farming exp, his passive give you bonus coin.
  • Secret zone, some stage will give you a big chunk of coin when first clear, remember to turn on 100% coin buff, you will get double reward. Weekly secret zone can do the same.
  • Selling soul, in soul interface you can choose “Release”. Remember only sell when you reach 100k coin, so you can get bonus.
  • Wanted quest, some will give up to 30k coin.
  • The new coin zone, try team up with as much high level player as possible, turn on 100% coin buff, you will get around 70k at max.

Jade

Jade is the second one and the most important in my opinion.

Usage:

1. Summon Shikigami, you can summon one by one which cost 100 jade each but save up and buy amulet pack with cost of 1k and you get 11 amulet .
2. Buy a lot important stuff.

How to farm jade:

1. 666 jade permanent pack in mall.
2. Achievement – take a look a round, there are a lot easy one but give rich reward.
3. Drum realm card, try to fuse grade 4 or above so you can set private and trade with others. This is the main source of jade when you reach late game content. See Realm section for more information.
4. Secret zone and weekly secret zone.
5. Area boss , choose the boss has the most people participate so you can earn 20 each boss, up to 3 if reach max point.
6. Share , after you finish Area boss, weekly Secret Zone, you can share it to social media and get 20 jade first time of the week.
7. Realm raid , you got 5 jade each 3 realm completed and 15 jade when do 9. The easy way is only do 3 time then refresh if you aim for jade, it’s a lot more stable.
8. Talisman Pass , 100 point give you 20 jade everyday.
9. Duel , first 5 win of week give 20 jade.

   Shiba the pet dog after you feeding him and do co-op, most of the time he will give you some jade.

   Selling soul sometime give you jade.

10. Guild event sometime give jade , Attack (up to 200 jade), Defend (100-200 jade), Guild Gift (50 jade each pack).

AP

AP is the last one and the one you need to farm everything in game.

Usage:

1. Farming exp, soul, coin and various activity.

How to farm jade:

1. You will get 20 from paper doll when play around 12:00 to 14:00 EST .
2. Fish realm card, again fuse grade 4 or above so you can trade with others.
3. Collect from guild , for more information in guild section below.
4. Talisman pass , only choose AP if you are a true farmer. And if you want spend money this is the only worth your spend, give a exclusive skin and a lot AP + 10 black Daruma shard (level 20 – level 30), and 80 point everyday give you 20 AP as well.
5. Wanted quest, some give 30 AP.
6. Buy in mall , if you very new to the game, should buy the first AP from “Special” everyday which cost 60 jade, And 1 weekly cost 150 medal.
7. Encounter , just “search” the last one give you a lot reward and it contain AP. Some time you can even buy AP for 50 jade.

Guild

1. There are many reason to join a big guild like exp & coin buff, feast, guild defense, … , try find some casual one with low guild quest requirement ( around 30-60 guild quest per week ). Here are some i know:
   • Divine
   • Everland

2. You can collect AP every 6 hr
   by go to Guild navigate to Map.
   
   Then click guild icon.
   
   it will move to your guild location and you can collect AP.
   Depend on level of your guild, you can collect from 10 AP to 20 AP.

3. In guild can wish for shard from SSN N R SR to SSR SP, this is the most common way for people trade shard, but if you new you should focus wish R and SR shard.
4. And you can give friend shard as well, but they don’t give any medal and you need 1000 bond to give SSR shard.
5. After you already wished, you can choose up to 7 different shikigami shard for trade. Only do this if you want those shard for trade and you can view other available shard.
6. If someone in your guild get SSR/SP shikigami, just send “Blessing” give you random reward like Friendship point, Jade, ect…

Mall

1. Buy 666 jade permanent pack in mall, it may cost quite a lot at first but give you a lot more in long run
2. Don’t buy soul cost coin in mall, it just waste of money. If you want to buy soul buy it in shine, but you need to sell some shikigami for it. Buy slot 1 first because it plus Attack when you can benefit a lot in low level, don’t has to RNG and get bad soul.

Shikigami

When to summon shikigami.

• Wait until new SSR/SP release there will be chance up event, stack as much as possible.
• There are 2 phase in this event, the first one will be assembly period, there are not chance up yet so be patient.
• If you so unlucky, you can still try grind memory scroll – The fastest way is farm Totem zone and second is Explore zone. Note that you need to farm a lot to be able compete with others people.

Shine

1. Only shine ( sell ) shikigami that really really useless ( SSR Ara, Subabi etc ) for tasliman and you don’t want collect them all.
2. If you has a dupe shikigami, should use it to skill up other one.
3. If you has a dupe shikigami that you skilled up already, some still viable to has second one ( SSR Shuten, SR Itsumade, …) or even third one like SR Bake-Kujira.
4. You should buy black daruma when you are okay farmer – really recommend.
5. Only buy grade daruma when you lazy or have too much tasliman.
6. Only buy soul when you really really new.
7. Only use golden tasliman for exchange ticket
   *Update since the introduce of skin collection level in Collection, buy box for sp skin ticket and should buy SR skin first. Some oldie say that you can use golden tasliman to exchange SSR shikigami in a specific event, not sure since i have just played around 240 days.

8. Here is a trick to get black daruma with very low cost.
   Buy usagi when you can – only 200 talisman when black durama is 1500 talisman, he is kinda useless but you can unlock his bio ( level up to 30 ) and bumm free black daruma.
   

   And here big brain time, buy Tenjo Kudari cost 200 talisman.

   
   Her bio will give you one black daruma as well but need skill up 8 time, so total cost will be 1600 talisman right? Wrong.
   Here thing become a bit tricky:
   You only need 5 of them so total cost is 1000 talisman – still cost effective. Just follow each step below, you will find out by yourself.

Soul

1. DPS
   Shadow for AOE – 1 Hit shikigami to maximize damage.
   Seductress for multiple hit sikigami – not realizable effect.

Daruma

*Note: Since the new fast upgrade system come out, you may not need this any more. Just max level blue daruma then feed it to the Gorging Ghould.

This is what i found on internet.

– Mostly from broken amulet which you can earn several activities in game and mainly by guild gift, so the bigger your guild are the more food you get. One more source is demon parade, focus N so you will get more food to upgrade shikigami.

– You can earn by several activities in game and event will sell a lot of them.

– You can earn by several activities in game and event will sell a lot of them. Try buy all of them if you want focus on upgrade grade of shikigami.

– You can earn by everal activities in game like first time clear some high stage serect zone, any activities can random drop shard or whole Blackie , buy 1 in shop for 500 medal per week and event.

Realm

1. Realm Card

   This is how you suppose to fuse realm card, don’t waste grade 6 moon card, only focus Drum or Fish.
