Overview
Have you not played the game in a about a month and are now super rusty? Hopefully this guide can help you get right back into the groove and get your muscle memory back on point!
You can’t aim anymore
That’s an easy fix. The number one issue might be mouse sensitivity. Try changing that until aiming gets a little easier. Lower sensitivities work better for me, I use 16.
Another thing to try is to play Cyber Grind on hard and use the revolver as much as possible without using the coin shot.
Things to remember:
- The only way to regain health is to be close to your enemy. Remember that you don’t need to go around sniping them.
- Move around while you’re shooting. This not only helps you not get shot, but helps you learn to aim at things that are moving.
- Stay on the ground until you’re comfortable with how well you aim. Aiming is hardest in the air, and it’s even harder to dodge stuff in the air unless you dash.
- Don’t try to make every shot a headshot. Remember, you’re aiming with the revolver, which requires lots of accuracy, but most of the other weapons won’t.
You want to get good at the more complex moves again
Shotgun parrying, coin shooting, slam saving, and pseudo-dashes are all fun and rewarding to pull off. But now you can’t do any of that.
For shotgun parrying and coin shooting, just practice this in the room before the level over and over until they’re muscle memory. Remember with the coin shooting to practice it while moving in all directions. Coin shooting will probably be the easiest to get down.
For slam saving and pseudo-dashing, and other movement tech, read some of the guides that explain movement tech. And practice them in all sorts of ways.
You’re having trouble gaining health
Remember to stay close to your enemy at all times. It can be hard to do this, because it feels like you’re opening yourself up, but this is the only way to go. A good way to get a quick burst of health is to shoot just about anything point-blank with the shotgun.
You still suck
This guide is just what worked for me. Just keep playing and practicing until you find what works for you. This guide is to just give you a few ideas about how you can improve and for you to build off what I did. And besides, if you’re having fun, what does it matter if you suck? Also, you could just turn on auto aim if you’re having that hard of a time. (Though I completely understand why you might not, I personally refuse to turn it on.)
