Complete Guide for Hide and Go Puke Achievement

Overview

How to find all 50 Pukey the Clown dolls required for the Hide and Go Puke achievement. Includes a video walkthrough, tips for searching yourself, and screenshots showing every doll location in the map Steamland.

Introduction

You can complete this achievement on either the regular version of the map (KF-Steamland) or the objective mode one (KFO-Steamland).

A few dolls are outside of the player-accessible portion of the map. I point out a lot of these through a Crossbow scope in the screenshots below.

There are dolls in trader areas, so you have to complete at least 3 waves/rounds to get the achievement. Therefore, you should play a long game of regular KF mode or play objective mode to maximize your chances of reaching all 3 locations.’

UPDATE: A bunch of people in the comments have talked about how you can in fact destroy the dolls in the trader rooms without entering them. The blasts of explosives can reach the dolls inside. However, it’s pretty difficult if you’re not sure exactly where the dolls are and you could waste your grenades trying, so I’d still recommend just shooting them inside the trader rooms between waves.

I’ve also moved the trader locations to the top of the list so people know right away about them.

Finding the Dolls Yourself

Use a scoped weapon like the Crossbow.

Having a scope will help immensely in letting you spot distant dolls, especially the ones that are outside of the map.

The best way to search is through teamwork!

Give yourselves unlimited time to look around – Make sure everyone refrains from healing Ringmaster Lockheart (objective mode) or get 1 person to kite the last zed in a wave (regular KF mode).

A dead player can spectate and use freecam to fly around the map.

If you’re at a complete loss, you could always go Firebug and spam flamethrower shots everywhere and hope you hit something… 😛

In this video, I destroy all dolls in a Beginner/Long Solo game of regular mode KF. It’s a very easy way to get the achievement… but not nearly as fun as finding them as a group in a live server.
